August 25, 200619 yr Jon -Great to see you're among the living. Glad I can stop searching Obits. Sorry you're life has become so complex, but glad to see you're choosing to cut it down to the essentials. Also sorry you're back to effyou three instead of fu3. It will become available again, I hope. MSFS is just fine to use as an alternative, as it merely expands your horizons, while providing a point of comparison. Go for it all.Glide slope: Knowing the story will be far more enjoyable than the experience.-Seadog
August 25, 200619 yr Yes, I'm still around too but sorry to say not contributing much at present. Good to hear Jon's return from his awol. I still look in occasionally (like most people I think) to catch up on news.Robert / robd323 (named after my Mazdas)
August 28, 200619 yr Ah Rob,Many greetings! Maybe about time for another Town Hall meeting or maybe the Uni as I'm around the airport on Tuesdays and Thursdays?I found this pic and it reminded me of your Clare's Valley 747 landing. I think in this case though, the landing was OK but the pilot was just busting for the toilet :-lolhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/154822.jpgRegards,**************Jonathan Point**************"I'd rather be down here wishing I was up there than up there wishing I was down here"

August 29, 200619 yr Here's another 747 landing that should be placed into the history of FU3. That's why I'm known as the Dome daddy :-lolhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/154874.jpgHave Fun :-vuurAllan BFU Job Manager and Co-Moderatorand PuppyBush Flying Unlimitedhttp://avsim.com/hangar/air/bfu/logo70.gif
August 29, 200619 yr Yeah, but you did it by um, er, changing a few things ;-)These, on the other hand, involved no trickery whatsoever :-rollUnder the powerlineshttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/154898.jpgEvening at the duneshttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/154895.jpgThis was the cow's fault - I only overshot the corner!http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/154896.jpgDraggin' the localshttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/154897.jpg...but kudos on the shot none the less ;-)Regards,**************Jonathan Point**************"I'd rather be down here wishing I was up there than up there wishing I was down here"
August 29, 200619 yr Nice car, realistic power line masts and beautiful trees! However, I'd almost forgotten about those cows. What would it take to create better-looking cows with a sufficient amount of polygon surfaces? Ideally, we'd want animated objects for anything that's supposed to be moving about but that's asking too much. Still, I'm sure we could get static livestock that looks a lot better than those provided by Looking Glass.Hans Petter
August 30, 200619 yr Hi all,Its good to see everyone still drops in now and agen.If Im not mistaken, that fantastic car of Jons is a flyabl?,look at how its lights shine on the flor, and look at its frunt wheels, thay look steerabl to me.Grate stuf in the pipeline or what?glidernut.
August 31, 200619 yr Hi Allan,So, you did it. Now I know why there is a large parking lot where the King Dome used to be.These bush pilots...Don't stop having fun.Thomas
August 31, 200619 yr Flyable?Flyable?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/154995.jpgOh no...http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/154996.jpgNo, definitely NOT...http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/154997.jpg...flyable :-waveRegards,**************Jonathan Point**************"I'd rather be down here wishing I was up there than up there wishing I was down here"
August 31, 200619 yr Great shots! Love the one with the cow. :-yellow1 Do they come in different colors? And what about the car? CheersBruce H
September 1, 200619 yr H-P,Have you not seen this? http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/155080.jpgMarginally better than the LGS ones (i.e. transparency) IMHO.I did them about June 2004. Maybe I didn't release them?Whoops :-rollMaybe we should have a sticky thread for models? I have created over 500 (or at least 250 of each region) since 2003 :-eek I'm sure I've released the worthwhile ones...Regards,**************Jonathan Point**************"I'd rather be down here wishing I was up there than up there wishing I was down here"
September 1, 200619 yr Yup, I've been using Jon's improved cows for ages - his car gives more miles per liter and his cows give more liters per acre, better all round (sorry). Seriously he has some great animal models there. So has agtim. I've used their horses, sheep, birds, cows etc. I forget who did which. And of course there's Andy's little people. I still use his blue person, simply because for England I assume that's the natural colouring (Australia is much warmer). His people models are the most realistic (putting Mike and Ken back into the stone age with their neolithic block faces). Grab them while they're hot. So the FU3 world has plenty of live animals around, just that they can be hard to find in the library. I'm not counting glidernut's white dragon as an animal.Jon, I don't understand how that shot of the plane looks like my landing attempts at Clare's Valley. I mean, toilet break or not, he seems to have stuffed up his landing somewhat, and I never do.Well that wasn't my fault. It was your fence that bust the plane. What were you thinking of putting a fence just where I was overshooting?Nice car. Robd323.
September 1, 200619 yr Cows and horses in the Switzerland package original from MSFS freeware sceneries of Switzerland converted by BGL2E. Nice but a lot of polygons !http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/155130.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/155131.jpg :-wave agtim
