December 11, 200223 yr Commercial Member did you do a full install, or a minimum?not all centers are going to have wavs. i don't have international chatter for every center.how many wavs in 329? JD Read my blog
December 11, 200223 yr HURRA - IT WORKS!!- it helped to update the drivers for the soundcard!!I did make a full install, so i'm puzzeled about the chatterfiles.. I'm p.t. parked at the airport and are ready to taxi out - but there are no chatting - only controllers tellling other planes to taxi out to the runway .. - but not the others......
December 11, 200223 yr LaRS,I'm happy you're up and running.Chatter can vary. Give it some time and let us know how it goes.
December 11, 200223 yr I'm flying at the moment Scott - it's great and very easy indeed and much more real...But i do miss the other chatter-files, those which had nothing to do with the flight, but just was there to make it more "lively" - they are for sure not here.. Isn't that a fault? JD said i should erase those i had, because they would be installed again...
December 11, 200223 yr Lars,Canned chatter should have been installed. Where are you flying? If it's in the US, then look in your USA directory and sub-directories and tell us if there are files in those. Otherwise, tell me what area you are in and I'll look.
December 11, 200223 yr Sorry for the late answer - are first landed moments ago - around 4:30 a.m. danish time - so i'm rather dizzy... :-lolIt seems that i have been unlucky and looked in those libraries containing nothing - either completely without anything like Russia - or just looked in an empty approach library for Norway - when the rest of the norwegian libraries contained files...So - after having had the drivers for my soundcard updated, everything seeems to be as it should.Oh - i was flying from Maracaibo in Venezuela to Panama.. Perhaps not much life there - except that i had company by 2 or 3 other planes..Now i do have a question. I think i read something about it, but i'm not sure where. Shouldn't you be able to hear the Microsoft controllers in the air? All the talking was with your voices - none whatsoever entertained one with canceled flightplans. OK - i have probably misunderstood something, i just want to be sure that it's not me who has overseen something..Beside that - i have only positive things to say. A great experience!! Great work!! (I can assure that i was worried a few hours ago, that i had to give up RCV3 - oh horror..).. :-lolThank's for your help Scott - and JD :-jumpy
December 11, 200223 yr Hehe - just want to add that my sound on my computer have improved dramatatically since the update of the drivers - hell, i can even hear the alarms (music) in Lotus Organizer... Now, why didn't i think of that before, but i have at least got more than one thing out of buying RCv3 - :-lol :-lol
December 11, 200223 yr Lars,For your next flight I'd suggest somewhere in mid US. Turn the chatter slider to around 7 or 8. Sit back and be prepared to be swamped (8-| - Dean P3Dv4 & XP11 space
December 11, 200223 yr Hehehe - seems it's were the action is.. - perhaps the closer you get to (is it) Ellendale in Tennessee??? But thank's for warning me, Dean - now i will be prepared!! :-lolIt was late last night, so i might have been tired, but i wondered about a QNH reading they gave me. I take it's Millibar/hectopascal?? It was 1111 ??? 29.92 is 1013 millibar/hectopascal, so 1111 sounds dramatically. I haven't heard of much more than 1040... :-)
December 11, 200223 yr Lars, Not an RC problem here. RC only reads the info provided by your weather program, either fs2k2 weather or the metar you download for FSMeteo or Active Sky. Might have been an incorrect metar is all.Best, Rob
December 11, 200223 yr You're right, Bob - it must be why... Though i don't know much about the weather in South America, i don't think it's that much different.. ;-)
