i guess they are in the midst of transitioning from one install method to another? documentation on the new method, none on the old. figured it out. i remember many months ago the install process took forever, because each install had to decompile, add, then recompile.at least now, you only have to decompile and recompile oncethat's progress.now, let me go find some planes!

In that case jd, get Lago's "MyTraffic".You have to do nothing, other than running the installer of the product. They use PAI aircraft (under licence) and you do not have to mess with AFCAD, taxiway editing, adding/positioning gates, editing FlightPlans etc.You install it and magically you have lots of realistic looking traffic in all major hubs of this world. For someone that does not wish to know anything about how AI Traffic works, it is the best solution.Stamatis

well i have learned a lot in the last 48 hours, thanks to rob.my initial foray into project ai was a mess. two installers, took hours and hours. and i ended up with planes with no textures.luckily i found a original file, backed up by project ai, i guess. i restored it, decompiledtalked to rob, talked to rob some more. he convinced me to try it again.this time, i did all the old installs first, then i did one batch of new installs. didn't take nearly the time.now i have ai planes, and TEXTURES ;-)as i was telling rob last night. it would be SO COOL, to have the fedex fleet arriving at memphis at midnight, and leaving at 4:00am.i know where i can get the schedule (bill stephens LOL). i guess all i need are some plane textures, and someone to help me.i really should get back to rc, though! LOL

>not "see" your plane, and RC will not "see" the ai planes. >The most common problem this causes is that RC may clear you >to land when there are ai planes on the runway. What?RC3 was promoted as being able to see AI traffic! So, this is not the case?Tony in Miami

i think he is referring to planes on the ground

>In that case jd, get Lago's "MyTraffic".Lago has made many wonderful things, but MyTraffic is not one of them.
