Is it possible to add a new airline to the list in RCV v 3?If so how is it done please?

Hi Alan,It involves getting all the controllers and pilots to record the new call sign so, no, I'm afraid you can't just add an airline.Let us know which one you want then, if there is any updating done, it will have a chance of getting added ;-)All the best,John

Thanks John,I am interested in the local UK airlines. The particular one I was working on was "easyjet" with the call sign "easy" and the flight numbers EZY****.For realism the controller wav files should only be those in the flight itenery of the company ...... UK and Europe ..... so no American voices would be needed. (however that's still quite a few!)Regards and good health for the new year.Alan

Alan,There is little localized airline usage, and no localized (or airline specific) tail numbers. All you might hear is Easy 123.There is no localized "accents" for controllers. You'll hear whatever you have.

John:If you're making a list, could you add Pilatus.Tom

I notice IBERIA is not in the lines. This is the Spanish Airline.Could you include it.Thank youLuis

Hi Alan,Being from the UK I'll certainly push for Easyjet to be included if we do record some more. All the best,John

Seems there might be some wider interest in being able to add airlines.Perhaps it is possible for the existing "chatter" facility to be extended in someway for users to add extra controller calls themselves. I daresay that if it were psosible lots of users would soon upload to a library like Avsim a significant number of the controller sound bites. However I do not know how complicated the coding is to enable such a change .......pity it was not included originally, hindsight is a wonderful thing.Good health to all for the new year.

Alan,It's not a matter of making wavs. It's a matter of having the people who have already recorded making wavs. You can easily make an "Easy" wav, edit the aircraft.dat file to include it, and copy the wav into every controller and pilot directory, but the voice won't match what's there.

New callsign requests should be emailed to [email protected]. New lists are borne from emails I get. Be sure to state how the callsign should be voiced, which isn't necessarily the tech correct callsign. I copy/paste requests to ensure you get exactly what you ask for. I do not always know what correct voicing should be. In the future, if you see callsign requests here on the forum, please direct the individual to email that callsign to me. That ensures none will be missed. Tkx!I'll add the callsigns from this string. Can't say with confidence additional requests will be honored if they're not found in my "In" box.Helps alot, tkx again!!

Doug,Quoting from your earlier callsign notice post:Airline nameATC callsign (what ATC calls it)

I wondered about that - RC has something called "Iberian Air". Haven't really heard that before, but thought it was that..I can see that they included El Al and Air Jamaica, so now i just wish they would add MAERSK also (pronounced: mairsk) (Guess you've seen all the blue containers with the white text. A danish company also running an airline)..

I fly SPANAIR from time to time, just love its livery.Luigi ;-)

about 18 months ago we ask here on the forum, what airlines people wanted to add to rc. we ended up with a thread similar to this one. "how about x", "we need y", etc.

Okay, that's fair. But could you do something similar to the edits many of us have done in the FS2002 default airlines, whereby you make a composite sound from the existing wavs and add that to the aircraft.dat file? For instance, if I wanted to add a fictional "Northwind" to the mix, could I find "North" and "Wind" and mix them together in each of the pilot voices to make a new "Northwind" call sign?thanks,
