November 21, 200421 yr Hi AllI am back using RC after a long layoff--did a complete re-format of everything flight sim on to a big dedicated flight sim hard drive--so two questions #1 I cant get rid of the microsoft ATC--I mean that I cant disable it. #2 I am using ultimate traffic and RC is Giving me runway access when I am like number five on the taxiway--any help will be appreciated.CheersDorn:-)
November 21, 200421 yr Use the comm panel to set COM 2 as the active radio, then tune COM 2 to a freq FS9 never uses (121.5 works). I hate waiting in line to take off, so I usually just reset the AI traffic to get them out of the way, and voila: you are #1 for departure! I don't like go-arounds either, so I tend to turn the AI off during final and turn them back on once I'm on the ground. The registered version of FSUIPC will let you map a key to toggle the AI density between 0 and some specified value. If you don't want to do that, opening the date/time dialog and closing it will also reset the traffic.Mark Kuebeler
November 21, 200421 yr Author Thanks MarkI suppose that it is safe to assume that RC does not see any of the traffic which Ultimate traffic creates
November 22, 200421 yr Commercial Member rc sees any traffic, ground or air. in v4 we do a lot more with it.jd JD Read my blog
November 22, 200421 yr Update to the latest version including the voice files as the pinned topic at the top of the forum. Then in options choose Interact with AI. RC will then call while in the air AI traffic targets to you. It helps.
November 26, 200421 yr Author Thanks for the additional info---if you stop simming for a year--then come back and set everything up again--it's, well a bit daunting to say the least. In my personal little C-172 it is very easy to select Com2--just push the Com2 bitton on the Audio panel--now the PMDG 737--well I still cant figure it out--as you say ---Details---DetailsCant wait for RC4DornCranert
November 26, 200421 yr Which PMDG 737? If you just have the 600/700 package the radio panel does not have those comm channel selection buttons. It's fairly easy to add the comm channel panel, though. Tim Metzinger's 737NG tutorial contains instructions for this.Mark Kuebeler
November 27, 200421 yr Author Thanks MarkI will do this later in the weekend--If I want to stay on the Sim I must take my wife to the Clay Akins Concert in San Jose tonight--AND be in the Christmas spiritCheers
