Well to be honest, I do suffer from "just a little" bit of hearing loss from exposure to certain LOUD enviromental noises.So I am accustomed to asking "say again" more than most.So if I can understand the voices without having to turn my head in unusual angles in conjunction with a string of four letter words and fill in the blanks, Then its too good.

Hi,The problem may be related to your soundcard which is not one I've heard of.Have these problems happened with other flight plans or just this one?Does the Citation use the standard FS9 autopilot or a non-standard one?Can you post details of your system please? Don't be too hasty reverting to v4.0 until we establish if the problem is an isolated one or happens with all your flights.Finally, can you provide your KOSU-KCAK flight plan?Cheers,

I had the same delay problems with the 4.01, I have an e-machines amd 3000 with integrated sound and after a flight or 2 with the delays I lost the sound on all the voices. Acceleration was down a notch and FS sound was still playing sounds, I think via the modem driver? Well, I was unable to re-enable the soundcard and restarted, sound card enabled again. But tried a flight, got the 20-30 second delays and lost voices again and the sound disabled again. After that I tried it without fsautostart and it worked without a hitch, sound was good, no delays etc... I can't remember exactly which process I was inadvertently ending, but I think it was something that sound was dependent on? Maybe telephony? Something to do with sound anyway. Since enabling that service I have not had any delays or sound problems.Ian.

Ian,<>The recommendation for that service is to leave it running. Those with poor performance who use FSAutoStart and who have disabled that service should consider leaving it running.Good work!

What services need to be running in the background. Does who wrote the program what radar contact is depended on what services running in the background.

i have no dependency on any service, other than the windows os ;-)jd

Could priority have any to do with it. I have FS9 set to above apriority. Could that effect how Radar contact work being at a lower priority than FS9.

If you set FS9 to a higher priority than normal it will take CPU cycles away from RC4. That will certainly affect RC4's performance. Set FS9 to normal priority and see how that works.Cheers,
