RC V5 Callsigns

Recommended Posts

>Corse Air International - FranceHi JD.Just a small thing about this company... In 1990, "Corse Air International" became "Corsair" ; in 2006 or 2007 "Corsair" became "CorsairFly" (even if "Corsair" is still commonly used) after being bought by TUI in 2000.On a different subject, can you say if we'll be able to use RC V5 with FS9 or only with FS X ? Sorry if it has already been asked and thank you for answering, for the time you spend with your customers on this forum and for the great quality of your work.

Even though the company name is different, has the callsign changed? I have it listed as CORSAIR, just like it was in v4. Are they still using the same now?Subs

HelloIf you have listed "Corsair" then the callsign is unchanged. It was just to make sure that you have listed "Corsair" and not an older callsign (as for the company name) even if i'm not sure they ever had another one. Thanks anyway.

Hi everyone! I saw on the list at the top of the page that Gandalf Airlines is listed, but the company is actually out of business. Moreover, I did not saw Myair.com (callsign FRANKIE, Air Alps and Wind Jet (callsign GHIBLI).Another issue that maybe is not fully appropriate for this thread is the lack of some airport names (i.e. DAAG - Algiers) while there is the same name in the ATC area ("Algiers Centre")... I don't know if I am clear... it would be a nice idea to add or "merge" the same names witohut hearing "Airfrance XXY cleared to DAAG ..." and after "Airfrance XXY contact Algier Control on xxx.xx"Thank for you patience! Sorry for my english it's a lot of time that I really don't write in this language!Vittorio

Hi Vittorio,I've added Air Alps and WindJet - expect them in V5.I couldn't find MyAir.com in the official docs we use, so I'll have to clarify that one with the beta team.As for Gandalf, we've made it a point to try and keep all the past airlines as well - that's for those using retro AI and alike.Let me query the idea of using airport names and centres - there are a lot more airport names recorded for v5, so it's probably not going to be an issue anyway.Subs

Will version 5 have "follow company" instead of saying the same callsign that you are currently operating? Thanks,Bill

Hi jd,To save you some work : Aegean Aviation has evolved to AEGEAN AIRLINES and it is in Greece and not Turkey. Call sign "AEGEAN" Olympic Aviation no longer exists as it is included in the new Olympic Airlines, same call sign with old Olympic Airways "OLYMPIC"will the RC V5 also work with FS9 for us who don't find enough reasons to start all over again ? :-hmmm John

How about a big one for Atlantic Southeast Airlines. Their new callsign is "ACEY". They mostly fly ATR regionals in the southeast U.S. and are part of Delta.

Thanks for the update about Aegean, it's corrected now. We've kept Olympic Aviation and Airlines seperate for those using retro AI. It won't effect you though - if the AI's aircraft.cfg specifies OLAVIA, RC will call it OLAVIA. If you specify OLYMPIC, RC will call it OLYMPIC.Currently jd says RCv5 will work with FS9, but as the coding progresses and becomes more complex, it may become FSX only. But v5 is more than a year away so you might be on FSX by then anyway.Subs

JD wrote: Shuttle America - USAI was looking at flightaware and noticed that TCF/Shuttle America no longer uses "shuttlecraft" for their callsign, instead they now go by "Mercury."Are you aware of this change?
