Hello and thanks for this product which has lured me away from the little hassles that online flying can bring. My question is one i cannot seem to find using the search on the forum so i hope someone could help me.Basically it is to do with the ground handling side of RC wherein i seem to be consitently in conflict on the taxiways with the AI traffic(Ultimate traffic). I do use charts even though i am offline so my taxi routes are as per the AIS of the airport in question yet i keep coming head to head with traffic quite a lot, especially on muti RW ops like Heathrow. Is this something that can be fixed within FS or is it a conflict. The pilots of the said jets are totally ignorant and will pull off the link for the runway directly infront of you and make a turn to go head on with you. I dont seem to hear any taxi instructions apart from "taxi to the hold RW??" and do so miss the old Hold for the 737 etc. Please this is not a complaint but a genuine request for help to resolve a tiny tiny issue i have with a totally awsome product.

this is complicated by the fact i'm not controlling the ai. i'm just talking to them when they change states.trying to figure out how to get to the hold short line of your runway, is some serious coding. but to overcome what the ai are doing, makes it very serious coding.maybe someday. v5 will make ai stop to let you pass, instead of hitting you.baby steps, i guess...jd

Thanks for the quick answer JD. I assure you it is not a complaint but was something i had not seen mentioned in the forum but had noticed in the sim. Hey if it gets you to figure out some fix for this tiny little bug, do i get commission?????HAHAHA.lolThanks againJohn Barnes (satisfied customer)

FS AI without the aid of RC are supposed to hold for you but you see how that goes. The only protection RC4 gives you is to:1. Prevent ground AI runway incurdions when you are on close final.2. Help prevent AI to your rear from overtaking you when on close final.3. Keep air AI out of your path enroute by giving them deviations. Here are some workarounds for the ground AI problem:If you can get used to it taxi in overhead view avoiding conflicting AI taxi routing.Drop the panel view when taxiing and look to the rear and sides when pushing back and to the sides when crossing taxiways and active runways. If you have a dual view system consider running an application that shows you an overhead diagram view with your movement and AI movement. I'll let others talk about this.

Set collision damage off while on the ground. Some AI will go head to head with you and stop. Some will drive right through you as if they cannot see you at all. Having them taxi through you is unrealistic; having them attempt it unsuccessfully is worse.

It's kind of hit and miss. Even with default ATC and UT2007 I still had that happening. It's gay, I know. Just try and go "with the flow" see what other AI is doing, and follow them like we do in the real world.
