  1. Hi,I have come across a very strange problem with my FS9 multiplayer set-up. I have been running this set up for quite a while without any problems whatsoever. I have checked all my setting and gone through the procedures dozens of times without success. I'm hoping that somebody here can give me some pointers as where to go now.Anyway my problem is as follows :I run a two PC set up with FS9/FSNav ( with FSUIPC 3.45 and WideFS 6.45 registered ) on one PC; and my client PC runs SBRelay/WideClient/AS2004.5/Squawkbox. My startup procedure is SBRelay, FS9, Start MP on FS9, Wideclient, AS2004, and Squawkbox. Now the problem is, regardsless of what I do I never "see" any MP aicrafts in FS9 or FSNav eventhough they are listed in the FS9 MP box! Squawkbox displays them, SBRelay displays them, and FS9 shows them in the MP chat box. I have no problems linking to the SBRelay service, all firewall stuff is turned off, each PC is communicating as it should.I have reinstalled FSUIPC, WideFS, SBRelay, and all my CSV files from scratch with no success. As I said in the beginning I have never had this problem before and it only started about a week ago.Any help will be greatfully recieved. Thanks,Dave
  2. Congratulations Damian,The first award and there will be more. With all the goodies you have planned this product can only go from strength to strength.regards,DaveAS2004 Beta Team MemberVancouver
  3. Hi,I think you will find that the old UR1 in the UK airspace is now UL980 in 0312. I have been checking the data in the files and cross checking with the VATSIM-UK NOTAM and this seems to be the case.Give it a try anyway.regards,Dave (CYVR)
  4. Hi,Because of your ongoing work with the server could I suggest that you "nail" a post at the top of the forum letting us know whether the server is up or down? This will alleviate some of the unnecessary banging away at your server if we check there first. Thanks,Dave (CYVR)
  5. Thanks Terry,Much appreciated. Now I'll have to find something else to do!Refresh, click, refresh, click ....Dave
  6. Hi Terry,While we are waiting for SU2, and we are busy reading the SU2 manuals could you please give us some idea of which SIDS/STARS are included in the latest release?I am particularly interested in the UK locations. Is EGPF-Glasgow or EGPH-Edinburgh included? If not I can spend my waiting time making my own copies. Thanks,Dave (CYVR)
  7. Thanks for the demonstration of cut and paste techniques it was greatly appreciated.regards,Dave
  8. Hi Damian,I have just returned from a couple of weeks vacation and was wondering if you have finalised your Beta Team list yet. I applied to be placed on this list and have not received a reply yet. Is this because I was not picked for the team or just that you have not released the list yet? Thanks,DaveVancouver (CYVR)
  9. I'm at work right now but SB Version 2 beta 3 rings a bell. With this verison you don't need SBHost. In fact I have never used it.regards,Dave
  10. You will need FSUIPC (Server PC) and WideFS ( Client PC ) and if you are using FS2004 you will need SBRelay.Vulcan is right when he says you can dump SBHost though.regards,DaveVancouver
  11. Thanks Jim,I must have missed that thread. I'll stay with Beta 6 for the time being then.regards,Dave
  12. Somebody will correct me but from what I remember it means Clear Above Visibility OK or something similar. Basically it means good (flying) weather at that location.regards,DaveVancouver
  13. Hi Damian,I have come across a problem that I have never seen before after installing Beta 7. Each time I install a new beta I do a complete un-install and re-install of the original version plus the beta. I am using registered copies of FSUIPC and WideFS ( latest versions ) and I am running other applications on my client PC without any problems whatsoever, including FSMeteo 6.2.With this version each time I start WXre I get a message dialog stating that, "FS2004 Cannot be found", plus another dialog right afterwards saying that there must be an error in my WXre.ini file.I have tried the remove/install process three times with exactly the same results. I finally went back to Beta 6 and everything is working.Any ideas what may be causing this?DaveVancouver
  14. Basically, I'm getting the unable to download messages, rapidly changing Wx between clear and "normal". I am getting the "FS9 has taken over control" message in conjunction with the above rapid changes. And this is on just a short 45 minute flight between EGGD (Bristol) to EGJJ (Jersey).I have noticed that it got really erratic with Beta 5 so much so that I uninstalled WXre completely and did a complete re-install, i.e. Original issue + Beta 5 upgrade. I am now trying to pin down exactly what is happening. One thing I did notice was that the Active WX text was not changing but the FS Wx was.DaveVancouver
  15. Hi Jim,Glad to hear that you are feeling better. :-)With all the software testing that I have been in we like to work from a level playing field with everybody using the same settings, where possible. While I agree with you in that you like to try as many different settings as possible it makes it more or less impossible to try and track down any patterns in the reports. At the very least, some of the common settings should be mandatory, and then allow discretionary variations for the other less important settings.Keep up the good work,DaveVancouver
  16. Thanks Jim,I'll use this to work through my settings to make sure they are correct. If I come up with anything usefull I'll pass it on.Thanks again,DaveVancouver.p.s. The only reason I asked was that I am getting REALLY strange effects using WXre and I am trying to track down what is causing them.
  17. Hi Damian,In order to standardize the beta testing is there any chance of providing a single document which will provide us with the recommened settings for FS2004/FSUIPC/WXre? I know everything is available in the documents and on the Forum etc but things ARE getting a bit confusing as to what setting we should be using right now.At least this will give you a standard set of test results which will ease your troubleshooting. This document, once created, could be included with the beta releases and after the first release it will be simple to "tweak".ThanksDaveVancouver
  18. Hi,Yuo have overlooked the fact that WindowsXp Corporate version can be loaded on to many PC's. It does not have to be activated my Micro$oft, and the majority of pirated copies that I have seen around are of this version.People who are using pirated copies of software are probably using these versions anyway.regards,Dave
  19. Hi Damian,I'll let you know. I have to add the new update tonight anyway. I don't think there should be any problem if you change the initial installation path during the set up.regards,Dave
  20. Please ignore the typo's. I'm having trouble typing today!:-)Dave
  21. Hi Damian,Couldn't we just instal WxRE twice on our PC's, and dedicate one to FS2002 and the other to FS2004? Of course we would then have to keep each install in sunc with your updates but theat would be a minor problem.regards,Dave (CYVR)
  22. Is #2 La Palma in the Canary Islands?regards,Dave CYVR
  23. Thanks Bjorn,I had this same problem a couple of days ago. I can't remember which A/C I was using although it was probably the PSS Dash-8. It didn't matter what I did the ATC would not turn off once I had started it by tuning in 122.00.I'll check my backup radio's tonight and report back.regards,Dave @ CYVR
