YEAH, San Diego, my very favorite city for scenery. If you get a chance go to Balboa park and see the train museum. Grownups and kids are Awed at the size and setup.And then you can look up and eyeball the landing gear wheelwells of every airplane coming in on runway 27. Well Bob you dropped the peice of the puzzle in. When I put this new FSX in I got a hair that maybe PAI would go in. So I put in1 American Airlines PAI in. You'd think I would know better as I have Vista 64 Bit, and PAI and WOAI don't work. But PAI had put it's traffic file in World/Scenery file, and was blocking FSX traffic.bgl. Had to re-install FSX. I had all Ai traffic previous. Everything is running great now, except I have no AI. Not even parked.Have auto traffic but no big stuff or little stuff. traffic sliders to 80% on airplanes. Nothing. Iknow it's that last peice tothe puzzle, but I can't find the peice. All aircraft show up in the main screen. Any help is appreciated.thanx,Dave

I gotta get in on this one. I don't show up to often.If you will look at all the downloads for FSX, you will see nothing but mainly airplane repaints. None of the FS9 freeware great scenery designers have even touched X. Does that tell you something? Sherahr, Kevin Burns, etc.. The airplanes in there leave a lottttt to be desired. I cleaned that up!!Trying to figure out the views is something else. I don't know what Microsoft was thinking on this one..Oh what they could have done with FS9.X is not a Flight Sim in my estimation, it is a "Texture" sim...Yes my computer is 3 yrs old, but it runs the heck outta FS9. I ain't got enough jack yet just for a "Texture" Sim....

I have Fly Tampa San Diego.I would like to know why the main runway has no white middle stripe.I asked someone quite awhile ago about this in Fly Tampa, but whoever it was blew me off...If there is one there, I'll be hard pressed to see it.Thanx

I agree with Rottenlungs.Lets go back to the beginning of Turboprops, when Convair updated the 440 from piston to turboprop. Almost every feeder airline flew them, cause they could go higher and faster than the DC-3, and the UGH!, Martin 404. Whats a Martin 404 ???? Look it up. The 580 had a pressurized cabin besides. No feeder airline at that time had a pressurized cabin.A new Convair 580, with a hellasious panel, and FDE, in Frontier, Ozark, North Central, Allegheny, Piedmont, Pacific Air, TTA, liveries, and any others that I flew on. Greg Pepper & Tom Gibson have done a great job on their 580, which I fly quite often, but it needs to be brought up to date. The panel needs a lotta help.Cheers

greeneg:Thanx much. That did it...I bypassed the del sol aircraft when downloading the panel, as I have the UAL's 200's from Mike Baumann by Kittyhawk Productions. Thats why the radios wouldn't work. Wrong Aircraft Cfg file & Air.file. They work now...Yeah!Dave

However you say both the radios work for you..The only radio that works for me is the Com...I have clicked everything I can on the Vor 1 & 2 radios, but still can only fly Gps routes. No Vor to Vor. Yes they are very nice panels. He sent me the fix for the radio on the 170. If you would email me, I can send you the fix. I also like the 717,I think the best one out there at this time, and the left panel, alt, alitmeter & airspeed on mine is blank also. Will have to wait for him to put out a fixDave

It's not SD without the bridge.Took the ferry across from Downtown in Feb of 1999, going to the Del...Absolute great ferry ride, and the scenery in SD is without a doubt, the absolute greatest. Always awed at the approach into SD via rny 27. Out of Phoenix I usually sit on the right side of the aircraft, so that I can see the aerospasce museum in Balboa park,when we go over it at about 800 ft. The last time we went in there in 1999, for some reason I guess an aircraft didn't exit the rnwy fast enough and we did a go around to the left and what a view it was.....Fantastic. Got two approaches for the price of one..Happy flying

HI:I never anymore install directly to FlightSim cause I want to see whats in the files first before I put them where they are supposed to be. Too much crap around...Make a new folder in your C: drive such as, 999, 888, FS9. Flightsim junk, whatever. Wipe out the path file in the installer and point it to C:999. Extract the file to that folder. Open it and there should be three gauges in there I think. Also a folder that says gauges. They all go in FS9 gauge file....The folder that says gauges makes the Auto Throttle work....I should be pretty close on this, cause I have had one heck of a time myself. If not let us know, and will try to help further....Have fun!

The site is down and out for now. They do that every now and then.Whatever you do save the receipt ID & transaction number. In your email if you can. Saves trying to type it in later.When you can go to their site, and in the left hand corner there are topics, and look at the bottom for Old recipts. Click on that, then copy and paste your ID & transaction number in there. It will take you to the downloads, and go from there. Make sure you copy everything correctly or you'll never get in...But you will have to wait until the site is back up again....Disable your anti-virus before you download....Probably won't get in by email either if the site is down...Good Luck..Dave

Same here, TI 4200, but I don't think it's the card...I downloaded DirectX9 new Drivers from microsoft. Also reinstalled Captain Sim 727 (huge file)to 2004. So it happened to me after those two actions. Fixin to kill Captain Sim to see if that one is the problem.I have to cntrl/alt/delete, to get back in to FS9 each time once I minus the screen to get to Windows Explorer.

Hi: Tom Gibson is right on the money to slow things down. Heres how I do it, even in the Greg Peppers 580.If I'm to high and to close to the airport (which you shouldn't be),but you find yourself in that position, then I get off autopilot, pull the yoke back to raise the nose just a little above the horizon,and hold her there until the airsped bleeds down to about 160 Kts, then I run in some flaps and down go the gear, push over a little, trim to selected rate of descent and hand fly her in all the way. Thats of course if you can see where you are going. However on and ILS approach I would start way, way out to keep things within the envelope. The passengers might not like the sudden drop when you hit 160 kts after holding the nose up, so you might pass out some bags afterwards. But hey they got where they are going...and safely!!Happy FlyingDave N

I have been highly suspicious of stuff lately that comes out of S.America, Spain and France.....They just have a different mindset.The only 800 panel is Andy Karlstetter, and it's okay. I am sure there will be many more as soon as 2004 comes out, and especially when the programmers start coming out with more NG Boeings....Have Fun.

Get rid of it. I installed it and it locked up as you say right off the bat.I really get ticked off at people like that, that don't test it thoroughly before they upload it. Even if he fixed it I wouldn't down load it. Will just wait for another one from a little better known panel man than him such as Chris Alevritis, etc.I have a Dell also. 4550.

That I know of there are no signs for AUS on Taxiway signs.com.There are signs in Page Clines Austin-Bergstrom airport scenery, but I have never been able to get the letters or numbers to come up on the signs....Since I live here I am very familiar with the airport, so I don't need any signs. Can find my way even in the dark, but the signs show up to let you know where to turn...

Yup..You can fix it by getting rid of it, and gettingLonnie Paynes panel, which is much better and easier to work with. And no error messages, and sound not gueltig message.lp722.zip

I have the Ch Flight Sim Yoke and Pedals PC.i presume you are running Windows XP. You will have to go to Ch Products Web Site, and download the newest driver files for XP.however when you do that, it still will not recognize the yoke, as in (Ch flightsim yoke)..You will have to go with:Ch Flightstick 6 buttons 2 hat switches...Click the Have rudder square in setup.That means that your axis will be recognized, elev, Rud, ails, and throttle, But the two red buttons on the left side of the yoke will not work. Red button on left side front is brakes called Button 1. It works. If you want I will email you from Ch the reason why XP will not recognize the PC yoke as such. However the main reason that info I get from my friend who is a Dell Senior Tech, is that eventually there will be no plug in to your sound card for a yoke. Everything, and I mean Everthing will be USB. Yeh I know bad news.. In other words XP won't recognize the CH Flightsim Yoke PC...The Ch Flightsim Yoke pc is a 5 button yoke. In the list of game controllers in XP, there is no 5 button yoke. Either 4 or 6.Happy Flying.
