  1. Thanks for that Roger!Thats just what I was after......I really appreciate you taking the time in seeking out that info.Cheers MateJohn
  2. Hi Roger.Wheeeew! I know its a long process, thats whats been eating me its that whole cutting and pasting every one of the 361 frames thats a pain. I'm sure theres got to be an automated way as you've pointed out. Im going to investigate this further as soon as I get a minute. Bye the way I create every thing directly in photoshop (without the need for a 3d program). Just start off with your first image at 360 degrees (vertical) and rotate each frame by 1degree and paste it in the next image slot.I found a picture of the 767 transponder.........its located on the Aft floor panel (Radio panel) centre, directly behind the throttles. Thanks again Roger for your invaluable knowledge.Cheers Mate.speak to you soonJohn
  3. Hi Ken,......got your email, thanks, but I can't accept any emails at the moment because BT/Yahoo are changing a couple of things at the ISP.Anyhow, as you've stated, its been impossible for me to finish any panels completly because in order to get the correct visual gauges on the panels DLL's are required which I am unable to do. The other problem I have is creating any PBG's which consist of 360 frames (Displays, needle etc). I'd like to know what program these are created in (Flash perhaps? or is their a utility I'm not aware of?)To get around this Ive been toying with the amp and pnl files along with my graphics knowledge to try and over come some of these issues. The conclusion is that its impossible to faithfully reproduce the exact aircraft systems and gauge displays for the panels in question without DLL's. However, that said if you guys don't mind the Panel's with some of FLYII existing gauges along with some tweaks and modifications. Then I'm sure I can get these panels usable. Just let me know which aircraft panel you'd like to see and what series and I'll let you know what the pro's and cons will be.I'm currently working on a Boeing 767, but here are a few others I've done.DC1030Boeing 777MD83Boeing 737Let me know your thoughts. Many ThanksJohn
  4. Hi Roger,I was kinda hoping you'd see my post, but a thought you might have still been away on vacation. Hope you had a GOOD time mate. Thanks for the info that helps a lot, as you know I'm pretty new to this aircraft scene and although I'm learning lots of cool stuff, I still find it difficult knowing what all them buttons and switches do. Im just in the process of hooking things up on a Boeing 767 Floor/Radio Panel and I can't seem to find the Transponder anywhere. Ive looked at pics on Airliners but I have'nt a clue where its located or/and how pilots input there assigned Squark code? The other thing I'm not sure about is on the CRS panel (Left of the Glare) there are two displays and dials. One is for dialing in the Course (I think) and the other marked FREQ is for dialing in the NAV frequency. What I'd like to know is this!.........once you've dialed in the NAV frequency on the CRS panel does this then become the Active frequency automatically. Roger if I'm barking up the wrong tree here, and that FREQ is'nt for the NAV freq......please let me know mate..............and put me out of my misery. If only I had the PMDG 757 I'm sure it would be in their operation manual.Anyhow good to hear from you and take it easy.regardsJohn
  5. Hi Everyone, .........in need of your expertiseIf you can answer or help with any of the following, Id really appreciate any input. Thanks Guys.Q1) On a typical Boeing aircraft,........ where is the Transpoder located within the cockpit and how do I input the Transponder squark codes ?Q2) Can someone please explain what the AUDIO panel is used for and How is it operated during atypical flight ?Q3) Within FLYII is it possible to change and enlarge the Radio Frequency Digits. (the file reference appears as ca01 etc, but I can't locate the file. Is this file built into FLYII's system ? and therefore can't be altered.Q4) Ive noticed that on the Glare Panel of Boeing aircraft there is a dial to tune into the NAV frequency. Is this always the ACTIVE Freq and do they also have a Standby Freq and if so where is it located and how do you transfer this FREQ and make it the Active FREQ ?Many Thanks in advanceJohn
  6. Hi Chusin,You may have already done this!,.............but just make sure you have the latest PATCH 2.50.240 and install it correctly (as per instructions) ........BEFORE you start FlyII! for the first time.Im not aware of any problems running FlyII on Mac OS X 10.4 and Ive been using FlyII on OS X 10.2.8 for years now.Hope this helpsJohn
  7. Hi Steve......how ya do'inJust a quick note............... only the other day a read something about installing FLY on a windows pc based system and it went on to say that you must download/copy everything your going to install onto the desktop FIRST before you INSTALL (and not from the disk/drive).Your probably aware of this already as I think I've heard it mention in the past or perhaps read it in the FLY! forum.Anyhow its better to be safe than sorry.regardsJohn
  8. Hi Everyone,I'm interested in finding out what bits of FLYII you LIKE or DISLIKE?for example: do you like/dislike the Aircraft, the Aicraft Flight Systems, the Scenery, ATC, the Panels, Development, VFR etc.........or what would you most like to see?The objective is to highlight areas of FLYII, which may inspire future development................so don't be shy and let us all know what you think. Many ThanksJohn
  9. G/day Roger,I was interested in your comments about 95+% of people only being interested in the visual aspest of a Flight Sim. Although they are obviously a big factor, I would of thought the flight systems and interaction of ATC, A1 aircraft etc would have been the attraction.I think I'll post a quick survey and see if I get some feed back, because it may genrate abit of interest and perhaps reveal which areas of FLY need to be developed. On a final note the one thing which has puzzled me for quite sometime now is the apparent lack of Heavies in FLY!..............You never here of our guys flying them, developing them, showing screen shots, or repaints..............nothing!!Which personally speaking must be one of the reasons Fly is not as popular as one or two other Sims one could mention.Any how...thats my 2 centJohn
  10. Hi Guys,Been working away for a while and now I'm back, I was wondering whats new or happening on the development front. Are you old guys still around.regardsJohn
  11. I don't know mate .........you have more holidays than the Queen!!!!Have a Nice timeJohn
  12. G/day mate...............how ya diddlin. Thanks for that Roger I'll locate the files and have a play. What are you upto these days?Cheers John
  13. Hi everyone, not been here for a while.Does anyone happen to know where I can find the Side window files for the Hawker/Peregrine Aircraft or what there called??. Id like to redraw the Pilots side window view, but I can't locate the (pbm/act/raw) files anywhere. If you happen to know which system file references these then that would be a big help!!Many Thanks in advance....hope to get back to FLY very soonJohn
  14. Hi Guys,Just wondered if someone can give me an explanation as to what the Engine N1- N2 Sync switch does on the Peregrine Overhead panel and also the Engine Ignition Switches.Do these actually work? and what is their function?Just curious..........!Regards John
  15. Thanks Guys,You really know your stuff!!Kind RegardsJohn
  16. Hi Donny,Thanks for that wonderful explanation. A couple more things........though!!Q1.) Once the engines come on-line, when does the APU get switched off. ..........or is this done automatically.?Q2.) Which external lights are displayed to indicate to the ground crew that the engines are running.?Thanks for your invaluable help and knowledge.RegardsJohn
  17. Hi Everyone,I was wondering if someone could explain to me the typical start-up procedure for engines on a modern jet aircraft.for example:Under what circumstances is EXTERNAL power used? And when is APU power used to start engines? Also can a modern jet aircraft start-up its engines, directly from its own internal battery power supply?Any info would be greatly appreciatedThanks in advanceJohn
  18. Hi Ken............hows the big move going?..........are your slippers unpacked yet!!I thought perhaps it had not been modelled, and I think what you state makes alot of sence. Thanks for the reply. All the bestJohn
  19. Thanks GuysI'll look forward to opening the Hangar! Thanks againJohn
  20. Hi Guys,I've just been to look at your website and the ATR, and I'd just like to say you've ALL done an amazing job. I for one know just how much time and effort it takes to produce an awesome aircraft like this and would like to thank each and everyone of you for giving us the opportunity to share many, many pleasurable hours flying her.THANK YOU VERY MUCHRegardsJohn.p.s. does this aircraft contain any DLL's. OR is it ok to download and use on a MAC.
  21. Hi Guys,Can someone please give me an explanation as to what the Perform Select button does on the Mode selector panel. I can't seem to find anything in the manual which refers to the correct operation of this button. If any of you can provide any info or perhaps give me a working example of how it should be used...........I'd really appreciate it.Thanks in advanceJohn
  22. Hi Tom,I'm glad to see you figured it out OK!,............Just remember that by select the Numeric 3 on your keyboard (Once your in the editor) you can scroll through the POD's files and just extract the files you require individually (rather than extracting all files from a POD).The file you need to extract for the call sign is the SVH file. Once you extract and locate the file in the WORLD folder, just open it up in a text editor and change the CALL sign line. eg below: -- tail number -- N174AAto whatever you what.Hope this helps and you can understand my instructions.Kind regardsJohn
  23. Hi Leen,....and guysYou can Extract files from a pod directly from FLY on a Mac. Just insert the Aircraft pod file into your Fly folder (NOT aircraft folder) and then start FLY!.Immediately hold down the CONTROL key once you've started FLY and you'll go straight into the EDIT window and from there you can EXTRACT the tif file you wish to change. (or any other file within the choosen pod)Before doing the above make sure you already have the following FOLDERS created in your FLYII folder: ART, DATA, WORLDThis will make sure the files you extract from the pod, are placed in their respective folders.Hope this HelpsJohn
  24. Hi Roger,Thanks for that,...............I wondered what that was for. Thanks again mate for your help.John
