No I'm not able to reproduce it here ... And 1.8.0 has not changed a bit wrt to this feature.

The Destination gate is disabled at start-up and becomes enabled immediately after the airports scan, and remains enabled the rest of the program....

For what it is worth I saw the same behaviour in 1.71 ( and possibly 1.70), not every flight, haven’t tried in 1.80 yet.

  2. Specs in my signature. I run 8 P-cores and 8 E-cores, when in MSFS the P-cores run at 5.6 and the E-cores at 4.4.

I recently installed the AIO, used a Noctua NH-U12A as an interim solution for a couple of months, but the AIO is so much better. One big advantage with water vs. air is that heat spikes are absorbed much faster - no need for the fans to speed up. On an earlier flight today (CPH-LHR) the CPU averaged 54 degrees and the GPU 47 degrees.

  3. And there we have it, an extract from the announcement posted at the FSLabs forum (my bolding):

"While we understand and acknowledge the potential of P3Dv6, at this point in time, our resources and attention are devoted to maximizing the features and compatibility of our products with MSFS. Therefore, given the significant amount of work required to bring full compatibility to our products for P3Dv6, we have decided to revisit the possibility of adapting our lineup for P3Dv6 once we have successfully executed our current focus."

You don’t spend five years developing a 64-bit Concorde originally for v4 then switched to v5 and then stop. I’m pretty sure the changes required to make it v6 compatible aren’t significant especially when several sources are saying LM ensured backward compatibility was vital.

Andrew had this to say back in March. Combined with his recent statements I'd be surprised to see P3D support beyond v5.4:

"We’re not in a position to discuss v6 openly at this time.

Hypothetically speaking, if a new P3D platform were to appear, I think we would need to evaluate the demand before committing any resources to it. That demand will primarily be determined by how many content creators choose to support it."

And the 13th Gen CPUs are a different beast, especially the 13900 that a lot of people here turn to is just an inefficient, hot beast that needs something like the 360mm AIO to keep in check.

Just look at the power consumption out of the box; 77w versus the 13900K's 276W(!!) and temps out of the box, over a 22*C difference.

Right now I'm at EGKK in MSFS in the Fenix A320 at 4k. CPU temp is 57, GPU temp is 45, total power delivery from the PSU is 325w. As you can see in my sig I'm running an air cooler at the moment ... 🙂

I'm going to guess that Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is an addon pack, and it will still be "Microsoft Flight Simulator" as an install method and directory.

You’re dead wrong. Apparently you didn’t read the FAQ which this thread is about … “stand-alone product”

Stearmandriver works for a major US airline flying the 737 professionally.    I don't think this is the fight you want to pick.

    'nuff said 🙂
