I don't use Discord, nor do I use FaceBook or any other similar Social Media channels, so, a product has either a Web Forum or a Ticketing system, or even an email-based support or is a No-Go for me 😕

Since I love Airbuses and the Fenix looks like a rather promising simulation, I opened an exception...

But …. They DO have a ticketing system. Access from Dashboard/Support.

  2. Well, for those of us with 12th and 13th gen Intel CPUs it’s a no-brainier. Here’s a quote from an article on Anandtech:

”What makes Windows 11 better than Windows 10 in this regard is that Windows 10 focuses more on the power of certain cores, whereas Windows 11 expands that to efficiency as well. While Windows 10 considers the E-cores as lower performance than P-cores, it doesn’t know how well each core does at a given frequency with a workload, whereas Windows 11 does. Combine that with an instruction prioritization model, and Intel states that under Windows 11, users should expect a lot better consistency in performance when it comes to hybrid CPU designs.”

I have been following this thread with interest as I haven't seen any degradation in the performance of the sim over time.

I really cannot fathom out why this would affect some but not others

Similar experience here. Over the last couple of weeks I have flown a number of Fenix A320 flights with a duration of +4 hours, the longest being OJAI-EGLL at 5h50m. No degradation at all.

This problem truly is a head-scratcher, but there’s got to be something in common for those that are affected …

Yeah, the prices are insane. That one is exactly half the cost of the Evo.. 😅

    Looks good, though.

Yeah, I think I'll go that route as well. Thanks for the input!

As John pointed out the fans sit very close to the side panel, this could possibly restrict optimum air flow.

In my previous build (3090 in a Fractal Design Torrent case) my GPU temps increased by 10 to 15 degrees when I installed the vertical mount so I quickly returned it to the horizontal solution.

No, Real Traffic has its own aircraft models, and there is an option in FSLTL to prioritize the Real Traffic models over FSLTL (or AIG) models.  I use Real Traffic for the models, but not for its traffic injection.

Sounds to me that you’re talking about FSTraffic? If not,  please provide a link to “Real Traffic”

Does anyone know how the discount might work for Marketplace purchasers of V1?  As far as I know, there’s nothing that lists previous purchases, other than what is available to download in user profile.  Of course, it will probably take three months for V2 to show up there anyway.

Literally 2 posts above yours, described by @DAD

Edit: Right now, MSFS hangs at syncing data, which is usually caused by server/cloud issues.

Just fired up MSFS to check - no issues

    No issues.

    I concur.

There is no doubt that a lot of users suffer with data streaming issues, but please consider that all the data has to make its way from the MS/Azure servers to your router. Given that we have at times seen geographically defined problems (Germany/Netherlands, maybe Central Europe) the problem might be national/local infrastructure.

Another thing to consider is whether your ISP might be throttling data from the MS/Azure servers related to MSFS? We are talking huge amounts of data, I just checked in the MSFS Options/Data section and since I built this machine in November I have downloaded 1.16 Tb - yes Terabytes, and that's just me ...

  8. I'm really scratching my head why this is still happening to some users.

I've recently been stretching the legs of the Fenix A320 on these flights (all times block-to-block):

    EGLL - OJAI     5:00
    OJAI - EGLL     5:49
    EGLL - HECA    4:35
    HECA - EGLL    5:46

    with no performance degradation whatsoever.
I keep the Community folder very light, using Add-On Linker to ensure that I only have stuff in there that I need for the flight in question, I haven't used Rolling Cache for a very long time.

Not trying to be "that guy", please treat this as just another data point.

Ok.. If i understand the manual correctly and from what you are saying, I can't have two of the same "lfolder" listed.  I should make them more chronological?  Thanks

Correct, and let the the one you prefer be the ifolder0 one. Also check Prioritize in the UI.

    Mine looks like this:

    <parameter name="lfolder0" value="D:\MSFS\Community\fsltl-traffic-base" />
    <parameter name="lfolder1" value="D:\MSFS\Community\aig-aitraffic-oci-beta" />

That way PSXT prioritizes FSLTL models and use AIG as a fall-back.

  10. Another small thing that I just realised was fixed in SU12:
The Frame Generation setting is no longer greyed out in the UI, so no need for the usercfg.opt edit hack any longer 🙂

I think it speak volumes about the quality of this SU that some 2 to 3 pages worth of posts are about the new Turbulence setting.

Didn't know the Navigraph database is a prerequisite in MSFS now...

Of course it isn’t, but if you do have it installed it would be safe to say that it is a prerequisite to keep it updated, right?

neither did i dillon, seems like they use navigraph for their own nav data base i guess then

    No they don’t, see above.

  12. Ok, let’s get back on topic.

As always, remember to check the Content Manager. As evident from the change log there are quite a number of updates - all depending of which WUs you have installed.

Also quite impressive how the PMDG and GSX PRO updates were available, literally minutes after SU12 became available!
