I have tried a few flights now outside of australia and fsx hasnt crashed on me. I suspect some issues with aust scenery (perhaps orbx?) havent managed to eliminate anything yet though. did the tutorial flight to dubai to collect a load of sand and all was well with that also. except I have another problem too which is likely operator error. I cant get autoland to work. captures the glide slope and localiser and it all looks well but at about 1000ft, it comes up with no autoland on the pfd instead of the land3 thus far, I disconnect the autothrottles and it settles on runway. chasing the fsx crashing issue on me also, I havent managed to figure that one out either. any gotchas there? I thought I read the manual but cant see what I may have missed. Steve

I have a problem with fsx crashing on final into ybbn. has happened two times at around the same spot around 900Ra on final. the sim froze for around 30 secs and then a ctd. both times following a clean reboot of the computer. too early to see if it crashes coming into other airports yet. I have only had time to try 2 flights on 2 sep nights. was a small route from yssy to ybbn both times. I have orbx scenery in aust and orbx ybbn I think I will try the tutorial flight and a non aust field to see what gives. thought it might be worth adding my issue in case there are common things going on. I am using the airac that came with aircraft, mainly because my system still hasnt the horsepower to run the queen as smoothly as fs9 doesso mainly been using fs9. more experimenting in fsx for now.I am officially puzzled now because after apparently exhibiting the same behaviour as above, I rebooted the computer and repeated the autoland and it tracked the runway centre line.The spear in didnt happen either. This time it rode the glide slope down to 500ra and at the approaching minimums callout, began to ride high on the glideslope, but then vertical speed increased, giving me the sink rate callout, so I let it go anyhow to see what would happen,it reacquired the glideslope and touched down right on the runway threshold. think I might have to give it a run at a few other airports and see what happens.I really thought I was experiencing to the 50 feet right of centreline issue that others had, but has mysteriously vanished........Steve

been following this thread so in fsxjust tried an autoland @ yssy 16R and the same happens to meappears to track 50feet right of the centre line,I have the added issue that the aircraft drops off the glideslope @ just under 500 feet RA also and I have to take over to avoid spearing in.I tried the same landing @ the same weights on fs9 after the queen update and for me it tracks the centre line and works perfectly.fsx only has fsglobal 2008 as the only addonSteve

the same thing happens to meI havent pinned it down to specifics yet but I have been hand flying the bird a fair bit, mainly circuit work at sydney, san francisco and seattle but get the a/c warning all the time.Now that it may be an issue I will see if I can see what causes it here. bank angle pitch etc.Steve

Is weird.I even removed the airplane with the remove tool and reinstalled with the appropriate patches and it still happens.I figure that I may need to uninstall flight sim, clean up a little and then reinstall the NG but havent done that yet.I made the NG at YSSY my default startup situation and it seems to go. As an aside, this CTG now happens if you change the aircraft from the one which is default before you actally create the flight. After the situation actually starts, I can change aircraft or location at will. Not a solution, I know but gets me flying.I wonder if making the NG default works for you? (after all we only fly the NG anyhow, dont we??)Steve

Something weird happened to my ng in fs9. When I create a flight and pick any pdmg 737, then my airport and then ok I get a crash to desktop.If I create the flight with any other fs plane it just works.I can change to the pdmg 737 and it also works ok.I tried removing the 737 with the remove tool and reinstalling with the same result.Funnily enough it was previously just working but went nuts after I upgraded the nvidia drivers although I believe that this is just a coincidence.Any ideas how to resolve the errors??Thanks in advance.Steve

the exact same thing happened to me after I was trying to use some australian SIDS with the navdata version prior to the one recently updated. I found syntax errors in them that have been righted with the current release.Hope that helpsSteveYSSY

Thanks for that.I did something unprecedented last night whilst waiting for a reply.I actually read thru the fsuipc user guide and found all this extra stuff that pops up when you register.So I guess I will be registering fsupic. again thanks for the quick reply.Steve

Hi Guys I have similar problems but having a problem finding the reverse elevator trim sense check box.I assumed I went into the modules menu within fs9 and then fsuipc but dont have many options there.am I doing something wrong or do I need to register fsuipc (i have the free version which comes with the bird) to gain this extra functionality??would it be possible to point me in the right directionThanks.
