05MAY13 - Release Dates on the 777 and Our Silence on Same
With all the Big, Major players in the aviation industry making Big, Major announcements at next week's Paris Air show, I just wonder if The Big, Major, Awesome Player that we all know will have something to say... Only a little more time will tell, I guess. As for me, I very patently await an Airbus 380 announcement, which hopefully will be forthcoming one day... The 777 and DC-6 will tie me up till then. Tom

Secret Project #2
When Robert, at his excellent Munich presentation, singled out the person who mentioned "AIRBUS" to pick out the lucky draw ticket I thought ahhh!.. why??....and coupled with the fact that he said the next project would be a "surprise coming from us", I just can't help feeling that there is a message in there....... With the 340 sadly disappearing from airports, well, mine at least, it leaves only the 320, 330 or 380. I personally hope it'll be the 380! In the meantime, I anxiously and patiently await my fav Boeing 777 with its mighty GE90-115Bs and the throbbing DC6... Thank you PMDG. Tom

Which PMDG 777 variants do you want the most?
I am just so taken by the beauty of the gorgeously, majestic 300ER..... and as those huge ginormous GE90-115Bs spool up for take off, the thunderous power emanating from them accompanied by the ever so sweet, mesmerizing but sometimes melencholy whine..... and I'm gone.... Tom

What aircraft do we all wish PMDG would make?
Is the classic 707 so unloved??... the plane that really launched the era of jet passenger flight?A PMDG masterful creation of this classic would be nice, with the various airline liveries from years gone by... I guess I'm a little sentimental.Tom

PMDG's Boeing 747-800 first images!
The deafening silence from PMDG is rather suspicious!!??The 747-8F is scheduled for a first flight early next year. I just read that they completed a first engine run.Tom

PMDG 777!
I haven't stopped laughing since opening the last two pages of this thread.Vin, that was brilliant. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words!! Is it a Vin original, produced out of sheer frustration.I can't help feeling that people are being abit too serious sometimes in stating and maintaining their opinion. Please, just let it go. This is after all a flight sim discussion forum and not something relating to a critical life threatening matter??More importantly, may I convey to the PMDG team, my thanks for the effort, time and dedication that you put into all your brilliant products.... and for the tolerance that you guys exhibit. Nehalem-What does this mean for us?
eagle546 replied to a post in a topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcPhil Taylor makes a subtle little comment to Nehalem in his latest blog. Am I reading too much into it?? If I'm not mistaken, I think I have read something, somewhere from Phil about how Nehalem performs certain draw calls much more efficiently compared to current CPUs. These draw calls are used extensively in FSX.Surely, a person of his status must have seen by now, FSX running on Nehalem???..Anyway, I think there is some hope......Tom
