  1. NOTE REGARDING PIEDMONT- The incorrect texture folder was uploaded yesterday  so those of you looking for PDT were likely disappointed (well, maybe not USCG76). The correct textures are on the way to Avsim at the moment and should appear shortly. You were right, just sooner than I intended! MPE in its finished form will follow eventually, btw. FYI I'll be leaning back towards carriers who have ordered the 787 for the next few paints. I have several already well under way, so while I'm not taking requests as such, inputs might fall in line with what's in the paint shed already. B) Next up/almost complete:
  2. I forgot the readme file, so had to re-upload this morning. Should be available shortly!
  3. Piedmont Boeing 787-8 RR (fictional) (Avsim - mpe788rr.zip) Also uploaded update to Korean Air adding registration to right wing. (Avsim - kal788ge_Update.zip)
  4. Newer scheme should be available soon (used to fly on these, so was working on this one):
  5. En route this afternoon: Emirates Boeing 787-8 RR (fictional) - UPDATE (Avsim - uae788rr_upd.zip) Note, the belly logo was shorted due to an errant model polygon pulling color from another part of the map. Air Canada Boeing 787-8 GE (Avsim - aca788ge.zip) Note, the tail blurring is due to the image compression.
  6. Thanks booforty. FYI, I will be updating this paint based on some helpful user feedback (thanks Carlos!). Will post here this evening when the corrected version goes live.
  7. Emirates Boeing 787-8 RR (fictional) (Avsim - uae788rr.zip) I tend to paint liveries for routes and sceneries I visit in-sim, so while there's been some correlation with requests in this thread, many are coincidental. ^_^ ACA's been in the works for some time now, but to be honest dot patterns are a huge pain to reproduce with any decent level of accuracy (and ACA has three different ones going on their tails!). They're just not much fun to work thru, so I'm not certain how much longer this one will take:
  8. Actually, for this bird I believe Roverny is correct (albeit it's labeled CDU). Since the pedestal is inactive in terms of setting the radios in the typical manner the Aerosim CDU contains a NAV radio button (after hitting shift+7). As for the increments of 10 on the course selection, still trying to puzzle that one out. It may be a bug, as the IAS indicator behaves similarly in some phases of flight (ie: single digit adjustments no longer are available).
  9. Korean Air Boeing 787-8 GE (fictional) (Avsim - kal788ge.zip) Didn't realize the author left out the configs. Below is the one I use for JAL (new standard): [fltsim.xx] title=AS_B7878_FSX_GE JAL NC sim=AS_B7878_GE_FSX model= panel= sound= texture=JAL kb_checklists=AS_B7878_GE_FSX_Check kb_reference=AS_B7878_GE_FSX_Ref atc_id= atc_airline=JAPAN AIR atc_flight_number=10 ui_manufacturer="Boeing" ui_type="787-8" ui_variation="JAL NC" ui_typerole="Commercial Airliner" ui_createdby="AeroSim Corporation" description="The AeroSim Boeing 787-8 (B787 for FSX) For the ANA special version I used the "texture.ANA 787 inspiration of Japan" folder. Copy and modify the above CFG entry with the following changes: [fltsim.xx] title=AS_B7878_FSX_GE ANA Inspiration of Japan texture=ANA 787 Inspiration of Japan atc_airline=ALL NIPPON ui_variation="ANA Inspiration of Japan"
  10. Should be uploading this weekend: KAL_v09
  11. Arkefly Boeing 787-8 (Avsim - tfl788ge.zip)
  12. FYI, to those asking the downloads may be found at the Avsim library; search "787" & sort by date, or search for the .zip file name shown in the preview. Uploaded this morning (variation for VA use): Thomson NC White Tail (Avsim - tuiwt788ge.zip) There are a number of ANA and JAL paints at this site: http://exe.vis.ne.jp/fs.html I think they're at 1024, but he/she does nice work and has covered most of the different schemes.
  13. Japan Airlines "Ghibli" Boeing 787-8 GE (Avsim - jalg788ge.zip)
  14. Thanks for the kind words Tom, it's certainly been a learning experience (or trial by fire, the first sounds better B) ). Another pending arrival, landing Sunday morning PST after one or two more tweaks:
  15. :good: Norwegian Air Shuttle Boeing 787-8 RR (Avsim - nax788rr.zip)
  16. Try shift+e 3 (and 4) to open the remaining doors. They'll take a few seconds to move, but you'll see the loaders arrive then B)
  17. Yep! Typo- they had a bit of a dust-up with Airbus over wanting to polish the aluminum a300 fuselages, hence the (initial) gray and white paint on those fleets. Was later resolved. N717AN is AA's 77W sitting at Paine Field B)
  18. "with the composite 787 body they have no choice" That doesn't necessarily preclude AA from just painting the planes. They did it with their a330 fleet (for other reasons), and more recently have been painting the bellies of their 738's (due to fluid & maint/cosmetic reasons). Those planes share very clear polished/painted/CF sections. There's really no reason AA couldn't employ metallic silver paints used by other carriers to make the 787's fit aesthetically into their current livery. Whether they will do so or not is another matter, but there has been much ado about how AA has no other option than to repaint their entire fleet because of the 787 and forthcoming airbus acquisitions. They're really not painted into a corner to the extent that the media speculates (sorry, couldn't help it!). One thing that seems missed so far is that while some spokesperson comments have hinted at a totally new branding, other comments from AA have referred to a "special" livery on 717. It's very possible that AA has a launch livery planned for this bird, and their re-branding may be a much more subtle refinement.
  19. LOT Boeing 787-8 RR (Avsim - lot788rr.zip) Will look into DAL soon, work's been getting in the way lately!
  20. Royal Air Maroc Boeing 787-8 GE (Avsim - ram788ge.zip) Avianca Boeing 787-8 GE (Avsim - ava788ge.zip)
  21. Mark, I modified the following line in the aircraft.cfg file: [TurbineEngineData] fuel_flow_gain = 0.02 //Gain on fuel flow default .005 This at least helps the spool-up speed of the engines, making it seem like the plane gets moving a little less sluggishly. Obviously this is an at-own-risk tweak, but pretty easy to reverse if something untoward happens ^_^
