Now, I'm not looking to start a fight so PLEASE take it easy. I am always amazed how many people (me as well) post replies to posts they say, should not be posted. If you don't like a certain type of post, the best thing to do is just ignore it... would you not agree? Oh, I don't expect you to answer my question by posting a response... just ignore me... please! It's the right thing to do... don't you think? Opps! I did it again. Please just ignore me. Thank you!Murray

  7. >I have had no problems at all with the patch (making sure I>sorted FSUIPC and Active Camera first). All other add-ons (FS>Nav/Traffic2004/ActiveSky/Scenery etc seem to work as they>should.>>I have a noticeable improvement in frame rates (approx 3-5).>>.... mind you, I'm still running XP SR1.Ditto... except I have SP2 installed.
  8. Sorry, this is a bit off the topic of the thread, but I have never needed to put any FS9 cd. Right from day one.I have other no-cd patches for some of my other programs, but not for FS9. Anyone know why? Thanks!

I thought bolding something was a sign of aggressiveness.Thank you.

I was very careful to say that it worked fine for me... it may not for you.Anyway, I have tested it now with several stock and addon planes and I am having no trouble... your experience my not be the same as mine.P.S.Bob, my post is not ment as a challenge or anything. Your message of concern is well founded and appreciated. Thank you!

I use them to "highlight" something I believe is important. I ask this becuase I have been getting "odd" reactions to some questions I have asked in the past in other forums. It just now accured to me to ask. Thanks!
  12. >Hi!>>When I try to install the update I get a message, "Abort,>callback 0D" and it all terminates. I have installed the>updates from Active Camera and FSuipc. >>Anybody who has expirenced the same thing? The Active Camera update needs to be installed after the FS update. Not the case for the FSUIPC, "if" you already had the newest version installed.I am afraid I don't know anything about the error message you're getting.
  13. Got it and installed it. Set everything to Ultra High (weather to HIGH) and its as smooth as butter. That's in my case... you may have different results. If you read the setup instructions carefully, you probably won't have trouble... I did not... you may.BTW, I had Autogen set to zero before the patch because it caused bad frames and stutters... not now.
  14. >hello folks out there im wondering whst hsppen to the>lighting, im trying to prepare for takeoff at night, and the>lighting is bad in the cockpit, i cannot see which buttons to>push, there is not enough light to see what im doing, is there>a way to turn on the bright lights to see what im doing .>thanks......................RobertGentlemen, I'm not sure why you don't understand what he is saying. He did not say he can't see the "text", he said he can not see the "buttons".Robert, I have "3" CRT monitors (two 19" and one 17"). Two of the three feature "super bright" modes. Like you Robert, I can not see the buttons well enough to tell at first glance what position they are in. I have to get very close to the monitor and stare for a few seconds. If you compare the VC panel at night (which is easy to see) to the 2D panel at night (which is not easy to see), then you will understand what Robert and the rest of us "blind" pilots are talking about.Compared to "every" other FS plane addon I have (I have ten (10)), the 2D panel in the PMDG 737 is too dark at night. So much so that I don't even try to fly at night any more.
  15. >I was intimidated as well!>>They really need a Vatsim for teaching novice virtual pilots.>>WaldoHello Waldo:I cannot say for certain, but you could give this a try. Go to the VATCAN forum post some requests to the ATC folks. I think you will find most of them very receptive to a request for help. The VATCAN FIRs are usually not as busy (we're small up here). This is not to say you can't find help elsewhere. It's just that I have first hand experience flying in Canada. I do so because the pace is a bit slower (I too feel a little timid... still), and because I fly for...
  16. >THE PRINCESS AND HALF THE KINGDOM?>>FrankI've got a seven-year-old, princess... but no kingdom I'm afraid!Tim... what about Flight1!?!
  17. Na! He's probably out earning a living flying in a real plane. Oh... thanks for responding... so I can respond... and move this back to the top... and still keep my promise! :D
  18. I am not absolutely positive, but I believe Tim had it removed in preparation for the new release. Hense the title of this thread. You WILL want the newest version. Tim is a true professional and it will be worth the wait I assure you. Not too long of a wait I hope! :D
  19. I have been anxiously awaiting it as I am sure many others have. You did such a GREAT job with the last one, that I can't wait to see what you have added.Thank you so very much for shareing your time, effort and expertice. I would have never been able to learn as much on my own, as your tutorial has taught me. I truly appreciate your work... excellent Sir!
  20. Just to add a note.... I don't use a page file. It is set to "zero". Everything runs off the 1 GB of system RAM I have (and the 256 MB on the video card).I have never experienced any out of memory errors.
  21. >Hello Alexander>>>Using a extra PCI card will definately be better than using>the second head on the AGP card.>I have two monitors on my nVidia 5900 Ultra 256 MB, and there is absolutely "no" FPS loss what so ever. I have as many as 5 guages on the second monitor (can't fit any more) when flying the 737 and other addon aircraft. The resolution is set at 1280x1024 @ 72hz. FS is locked at 20 FPS and is set to Ultra High for everything except weather (High), and "no" water effects. I run AS-2004, FS Real Time.I have a GB of DDR 400, an AMD 64 bit 3000+, with the DirectX sound set down one notch.I also have my fs9.cfg set up as per the suggestion found in the PMDG support section under "tips and trick" (I think that is what it's called).
