  1. Pete, is the Premier on RC4, because if it is, I must be missing something!ThanksRick
  2. Thanks Pete for the info. Everything was there, except for the data in the c4.csv file. Having chased this problem, I think now I have a vague idea of how, some of the voices & terms, etc are done.I have noticed 2 other problems with callsigns, and wonder if they can be fixed on my end, or need to be fixed in the next update?1) PSA's callsign is "Blue Streak", but RC4 calls it PSA. I see the term "Blue Streak" listed.2) Chicago Express's callsign is "Windy City", and that shows up when you choose that airline, when setting up RC4. But the data in the Windy City scripts shows "Chicago Express". I guess 1 & 2 have the same problem.......the data in the scripts are wrong.Again, can this be fixed by me?Also, is there an airline that uses the callsign "Premier", or something close to that?ThanksRick
  3. I saw it mentioned in an earlier post, that it was supported, but cannot find it in my database.I'm looking for KLM - Cityhopper, whose callsign is simply "City" .Thanks!Rick
  4. >Jim "Hornit" Campisi did an excellent freeware CVG. Try>that.I think what Andrew was saying is that Imagine Sim HAS released KCVG. and is avail. for purchase!Rick
  5. If I remember correctly, I think in the Cheyenne I & II, it is really only a "off / on" lever.....really just a switch!Rick
  6. Can anyone tell me which program supplies the grass textures around the default airports. Obviously I have FS9, with Ground Enviroment, UT-USA, AE7. Before I got GE Pro, I had the FS Scene textures and used them with a program form the Avsim library. I was very happy with the way everything looked. Now with GE Pro, etc., I am very happy with the way everything looks except with the default airport proper textures. The grass is a "hodge-podge" of greens, browns, tans, and grays, and resembles nothing like the rest of the world.I'm not sure if one of my add-ons changed, or controls these textures, but would like to keep all my add-ons and get the airport grass textures to look like they did with FS Scene. Is there a way? Thanks!Rick

  8. Jim, don't be so shocked. Those are the kind of responses you get from Tom Allensworth! But the simple fact is....if the library staff of Avsim had not been so "anal", then the rest of the community could've now been enjoying the Emb120.Maybe they will upload it to the "other" website!Rick
  9. Since yesterday, I have been trying to figure out this problem that has popped up.I have been using FS9 for years with no problems. Even upgraded the hardware to a CORE2 computera few months ago, and could not be happier with the perfomance of FS9! (no FSX for me)After doing some tests, this is what I have found. If I try and start FS from an airport east of the Mississippi, it will freeze at either 1% loaded, or will not even start to load, and just sit there at the splash screen. If I start FS at an airport west of the Mississipi, startup is normal. I can then go to any other airport and it will load fine (even the ones it was hanging up on at the beginning). Doesn't matter if it is a default or payware.I have run FSManager and cleaned the scenery cfg. Even deleted fs.cfg, and let it rebuild that with no success. I have not loaded any new sceneries right before this happened. Have run AdAware SE, SpyBot, and a virus scan, with nothing being shown. This has to be something inside FS, but am not sure where to look now. This is just a pain now having to load a western a/p first, but I can still fly at least. Would like to figure this out though.Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!Rick
  10. >Rick,>>If you happen to hear anything about the file, could you pass>it on to me as well? I also lost this scenery and never could>locate it again.>>Thanks,>GGGG,If I hear anything, I will be glad to let you know!Rick
  11. >>It's not the same scenery, and the Rwy 12 package is not>>currently available anywhere on the web.>>>>I've sent the author an e-mail asking his permission to>>forward it.>>>>>>>Thanks Reggie!!>>>RickReggie,Have you heard anything back from the author?I thank you again for the effort!Rick
  12. If you are using FSAutostart, did you stop your printer or spooler functions?Rick
  13. >It's not the same scenery, and the Rwy 12 package is not>currently available anywhere on the web.>>I've sent the author an e-mail asking his permission to>forward it.>>Thanks Reggie!!Rick
  14. >Good god Rick...pay attention! The scenery is available by>following the link provided above :)>>He doesn't want it on AVSIM, that's all>>Best,>Rob>No wonder I don't post more messages any more with responses like ROBS! GOOD GOD Rob, do a little research before you decide to "rag" people. Don't you think I Googled before I posted on here for help! I found what you linked, and it wasn't what I wanted. If you looked closer, you would have seen that, that is only helicopter pads and hanger for that helicopter va. There is only 1 bgl file in it along with some bmp's for the helo pads, etc. No AfCad, lights hangers. To everyone else I appreciate your responses! The KTEB I remember, had plenty of GA parking, illuminated parking, hangers with moveable doors....really nice layout!Rick
  15. >The author has requested the file to be removed from Avsim. If the author happens to be reading this, and doesn't want the file on AVSIM, but doesn't mind sending it to individuals, please PM me!I liked the file before, but on my old computer around NY, I could hadly fly to/from it because of frames. With the Core 2 Duo now, I have all 4 NY airport addons, with 100% AI, clouds, weather, and locked at 30 fps. So I feel Teterboro would just finish the NY area in style now.Rick
  16. >Hey Rick, oops.... I did not realize that was just an afcad.>I saw the file but didn't read it through. Anyway, glad you>found it on the other site you mention.I did not find it......the link to AVSIM seems to be dead!Rick
  17. >Rick and Dillon, is this it?? njaptsej.zip I entered>*teterboro and got the file. I hope this is the one you were>looking for. Thanks, but no that is not it. This was a full scenery, not just an AFCAD.There is a link to the file on, http://walhalla.mine.nu/fs2004.phpbut it seems to not exist on AVSIM anymore.Rick
  18. Anyone know what happened to the Teterboro scenery that was in the library? It was for FS9. I had it & deleted it, but now can't find it again. Thanks!Rick
  19. Jeff,Will ther be any way to get the United Express textures for the EMB120?Thanks!Rick
  20. What I am looking for is to see if their website is still in operation. I am looking for the United Express textures for their freeware EMB120. They were uploaded there by a member of United VA, and I don't see them available anywhere else. Sure would like these textures!!!!Any info about the website would be appreciated.Rick
  21. Anyone know what happened to the OSS website?Rick
  22. Has anyone seen textures for the Wilco/Feelthere CRJ-900 in United Express (SkyWest) colors? SkyWest is flying them now out of Denver, and I have been unable to find any.Any help would be appreciated!!Rick
  23. >>It's not my belief, it's the decision of Tom, the reasons>he>>gave, at the time that that he posted about this. If he>>changes his mind, great! If not, then so be it! Kind of>>reminds me of my 14 year old students asking to go to the>>bathroom every 15 seconds fully knowing what my answer will>>be, even before asking; they just can't take "no" for an>>answer.>>>>Jim>>You bet we are not taking "no" for an answer... or we are>gonna wet the floor. >>Let's keep asking and hope common sense will prevail. >>>>>Kind of reminds me of a person set in their ways with no "open mind" to change or improvement. I'm always open to suggestions on how to improve both myself and how I do my job. Sometimes it just makes you think! If enough people are saying the same thing.....maybe there's something there. Perhaps we should take this to the companies that advertise on Avsim. There are a lot more products on the market for FS9 than FS10 right now. There is still a major market for FS9 products. Avsim is supported by money from advertisers, who are supported by money from consumers. There is power in numbers! But you know, sometimes you just have to admit that the cusomer is right! (not all the time, but sometimes, like now)Rick
  24. Maybe if we don't give it a rest, the staff might finally understand that we won't give up. I suggest we might all start flooding this forum with requests for a separate area. If the "higher ups" take offense at this, then they are telling us that they don't want us here! I for one am tired of wading through "WalMart in _____, Ark. has FS10 on the shelf!" What contribution is this making? But if you ask for something that the management disagrees with, they either lock your thread, delete it, or if you're disagreeable....ban you.I have read this has been brought up before, but can't seem to find the explanation why this is such a BIG DEAL. You don't have to go through the whole library to look for a particular livery.....why?....because its subdivided. If it's not do-able, the courtesy of a civil reason why it can't happen, is a lot better than a sarcastic short "its not going to happen", then lock the thread! A good rule to remember is treat people the way you want to be treated. You catch a lot more bees with honey, than you do vinegar.I personally am very close to Tom's age, own my own business (work for myself), and really don't have the time to wade through all the other FS10 stuff. I just got a new Core 2 computer, and am finally happy with the performance of FS9. With GE PRO, FE, AS, FsGenesis meshes, and all the ai traffic, I am amazed at how real everything looks from the air as it does in real-life. And I am also not eager to do away with the hundreds of dollars worth of add-ons I have. I am not willing again to be a "beta-tester" who has had to pay for the opportunity! I can see me being happy with FS9 for years to come!Rick
  25. I'm shocked this thread is still open! I brought this up last weekend, and all I got is 1 "smart as_ed" answer, and then Tom locked the thread saying everyone will be getting FS10, and that was the end of it. I had to bite my tongue and not respond to the censorship, because I knew it would get me nowhere. With my addon's, I agree I will not be going to FS10 soon. With all the detail and performance I have now, I enjoy flying with FS9, and do not want to start the cycle all over again! With the number of us staying with FS9, and supporting the developers of products out there, all we are asking for is our own thread, so we may still support ourselves without going through all the posts about tweaking FS10!Rick
