My my, I had heard stories of the atmosphere of animosity on AVSIM forums, but had not personally experienced it until now. No, I do NOT work for RAZBAM. Do I assist them in any way? Yes. I am retired from the US Navy, and Naval Aviation history is a hobby of mine. I occasionally do research on data for RAZBAM's projects. In this particular case, I had nothing to do with it's development. But I found it so enjoyable to fly, I wanted to share my thoughts on it. Navy Chief

To each his (or her) own, obviously! But the quality of Razbam's releases, regardless, are truly outstanding in my opinion. Having worked on numerous USN aircraft, I can say first-hand that Ron Zambrano really goes out of his way to recreate aircraft for simulation as accurately as possible. Navy Chief

I posted about this on another forum, but haven't received a answer yet.Some time back, I remember seeing a download somewhere which would alter the parking brake strength, so you could power up, and the aircraft would stay put. Take for example the default Hornet. If you add full thrust, it will start to move. Maybe that is realistic; I don't know. But I don't want it moving until I release that brake!Retnavycpo

I know this is the FS9 forum, but this release is supposed to be for FSX also. I am hoping someone does a USN C-9 repaint for this great aircraft.Thanks. Pete

Hey Staggerwing,I could be wrong (won't be the first or last time), but I can't imagine that a flight manual (no longer in U.S. inventories) would be considered copyrighted material. As for why the USAF museum won't make such copies.....I can't answer for that, except possibly a financial issue? The US Naval Aviation Museum has provided me with hundreds of pictures and documents in the past, at no charge whatsoever. Yes, there are companies who sell copies of this manual; which is exactly what I am trying to avoid doing.Thanks! Pete Ward

I am trying to locate some technical documents for a flight simulaton project I am involved with, and need help. The museum at Wright-Patterson may be my only hope, but their site states they will not copy materials from T.O. manuals. I thought perhaps since the AVSIM convention this year is located at Wright-Patterson, that maybe someone on the AVSIM staff might be able to assist me? How do I contact someone?Thanks.Pete

That is correct. The aircraft shows up at the location I have set as "default", but the flight plan does not load with it.Someone on another forum suggested I try simply saving the flight, but not as default. Am sure that will probably work, but also means more steps for my father in law to learn, which I am trying to minimize for him.Thanks.Pete

Ok, I know how to change the default flight for FS9; that is simple enough.But no matter what I do, a flight plan is not saved. What I want to do, is have a pre-created flight plan load when the default flight loads.Is this possible?My father in law is 86, and I introduced him to flight simming a few months ago. I know how to load a flight plan easy enough, but he doesn't. I am trying to make things as simple as I can for him.Thanks.Pete

Hope to get some answers to this one. Can FS9 scenery created with FSDS be converted to use in FSX? And if so, can someone please tell me how this is accomplished?I have specific scenery in mind, and am really wanting to do this, if possible.My gaming computer is in the shop for diagnostic tests (house took a lightning strike about a week ago); but hope to get system back by middle of next week.PeteForgive me if this question has already been asked and answers provided. This is the first time I have visited this forum. I am totally new to scenery design, and did not see anything related to my question in past posts.

Whenever I fly this aircraft, my screen freezes for sometimes 10 seconds or more at at time. MOST disconcerting when attempting to land!Anyone else have this problem? It happens quite often. It always happens when I change views, and just flying....Thanks.Navy Chief
