So, did you adhere to this quote, or did you apply all tweaks?

 

[We have done some testing with various tweaks vs no tweaks and we see little or no change to FSX performance. In fact, with no tweaks installed, the frame rate is sometimes higher. If you own the latest Intel i7 core chipset (Haswell) with a high-performing video card such as the GTX 780, you should avoid tweaks and simply tweak your display driver and adjust the LOD_Radius and Texture_Max_Load settings in your FSX.cfg.]

Well I pointed the scenery library to ES Isle of Man and they are showing up correctly in the scenery library. 3 ticks I believe.

 

But there is strange behaviour during the load, taking ages, springing back to desktop, blank screen. Eventually it loads and the main Airport (Douglas I think) is all fine and crisp. However, I get a bad case of the blurries when flying in my CH47, so nothing fast. I do not have this with any other scenery at all.

VFR GenX Scotland South is underwater. Gutted. Really fed up now.

How do I now copy these to where they should be for FSX-SE?

Christopher to the rescue as always. Are any other files installed apart from BGL's?

It's probably either in AddonScenery or in the root of the FSX location.

You would then have to add this manually by going to scenery library then browse to the location where it downloaded - I think it's called Earth Simulations.

Sorry but I'm used to scenery defaulting to its proper location. This scenery, however, does not. I just need to know the default location for addon scenery in to FSX SE I guess.

Ok I renamed the two sections as instructed and all is working fine now in FSX thanks.

 

Problem now is that TIR no longer works in TS2016. Do I have to rename and change back each time I use FSX?

What is the difference between DK2 and the CV1 (Consumer version). Is there any major technical difference? since I am planning to get a DK2 that is available in my city.

Resolution is the main one. OLED displays. Much improved Movement sensors. The weight. The shape. A completely different experience I would suggest.

I have enabled track ir and run @ high priority. 18 1.00 0.75.

 

I have enabled DHM VC Views and ticked Vibration effects and Rotorcraft.

 

There are no DHM effects in game and the image flashes from one side to the other intermittent and track ir movement is very unstable. 

 

Please help.

Let's hope it works 'out of the box' and not have to wait an eternity for a patch, which was the case for the DK versions.

I purchased this solely for the DHM as I hated the default 'no head movement in the cockpit' scenario.

 

Basically I just want constant vibration that would be commensurate with flying a CH47, with DHM effects. If the frequency of vibration can be relative to the amount of collective input that would be amazing. But anything will do.

Does the boxed version still require a connection to their crappy installer that no longer connects? Looks like I'm going to have to buy the boxed version of IofM too as I can no longer reinstall it via the installer. Gutted.

I mainly fly rotary in FSX SE and was wondering instead of having random shakes and thumps could I set an 'adjustable bespoke' constant vibration that would be more familiar to flying helo's?

For instance, I have a perfect constant vibration that would suit my needs when I carry out the 'test function' which allows the adjustment of frequency.

Who said anything about default?

If you use any land class based scenery at all then this will be worth it. Since 1000s of simmers use FTX global, regions, GEX etc then it's not default is it?

also, as far as I know, most addon airports still call the autogen tree textures even if they are placed.

Obviously this product is not aimed at those using photo tiles as you don't get trees at all!

Photoscenery has its place, but not in my sim world nor in this discussion.VFR low and slow is easily doable in FTX regions by the way, so that sweeping comment is also void.

It's default as far as tree placement is concerned. You're not telling me that FTX global has mapped the entire world for tree placement, are you? Thought not.

 

And why does photoscenery not belong in this discussion? Please explain? So what if it doesn't belong in your sim world. Lots of photoscenery has placement trees included. Try using Google.

 

My add on airports do not call default autogen trees at all, they are all custom and to my liking, including my FTX ones.

Clearly you have no idea what this does.

Clearly I do, and as I have stated, I do not use autogen, never have, it sucks. If I fly 'low and slow' its over payware photo scenery which does not use autogen nor placement trees. There may be those that fly over default scenery 'low and slow', and in that case it would benefit them, but probably not many I would suggest, these days. I do not use FTX scenery as I like to fly VFR and know exactly where I am.

Now, if it was accurate placement of trees in a specific area, then I'd be very interested.

 

Most, like me, have payware Airports, too which have their own set of placement trees which I am very happy with. 

No good for me as I only fly over payware scenery, mostly GenX VFR so whats the point? Autogen is the single most realism killer within FS, IMO.

 

Nobody, and I mean nobody fly's 'low and slow' over default scenery.

This is driving me insane. I have FSX installed on C/:FSX I have given permission for all users and sharing but I still receive the UNABLE TO ACCESS THE INSTALLATION FOLDER. When I close the box then it starts up normally. I'm very close to getting a refund as I do not have time to sort out these issues out.

I also receive lots of errors when applying security info. C:\hiberfil.sys The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. Same goes for the following. Page file.sys Program files Program files X86 Windows

Ok got that sorted. Thank goodness.
