  2. Hello Guys (PSS),Can you pls comment on the issue.LR works very well, also with x-winds. And so do my other high end addons.Now ER does not. Not even after the patch 2. Am I doing something wrong here (which I dont think is the case)? I have tried pritty much everything with no success. I find it very disapointing since ER is by far most exciting machine on the package. I have done further testing and ER flies ok with no winds but with X-wind component it really does not work at all I am alfrait. Lateral control is very, very bad...I would highly appreciate your comment!!! Also if someone manages to fly (actually control the ac) ER on >15 knt xwinds I would be happy to hear.Best Rgs Perttu

  4. Hello PSS,I have done some testing on patched LR&ER. LR seems to be very, very good indeed. Everything works as it should - great work fellows.773 then - still not possible to keep her on the runway when landing at severe X-wind >20knts. LR works nicely (as other quality addons) and stays under control but ER sweeps all over the place. Like on ice and exits towards the wind. Will this be fixed - a great addon is ruined unless you do something about this. Also have you adjusted cruise fuel flow - it used to be way too low.Anyway thanks for you hard efforts to be on par with LDS and PMDG, I believe LR is there and ER can be easily fixed...Best Rgs Perttu

  6. Dear Norman,I highly appreciate your efforts to help.I do realise JF does not sell patched version. Therefore I have once installed patch from their site. And to be sure I did reinstall that again just before posting here. So my 777 is patched, no doubt there, ok.I am concerned about flight dynamics with ER and to be specific again X-wind landing. With less X-wind she lands ok, I do not think it has anything to do with autopilot. LR does not have the same issue - it handles ok and I am able to land and slow down as required.LBS/KG issue then. I have everything in KG's (I do not use lbs in flightsim at all) except fuelflow on the 777 panel is indicated lbs instead of kg for some reason. On FMC, fuel gauges etc everything is kg as supposed. Can you do following tests for me:- Try landing ER with 25 knt x-wind component, if you can upload a video somewhere, perfect - Indicated fuelflow at FL 350 (-55c oat, no wind) with LR and ER, report the figures Then I can compare what I am getting at this end. LR is close to real world numbers but ER is way off to my opinion. Best Rgs Perttu
  7. Hi Norman,Thanks for the reply again.I have installed the patch. I bought the CD after the patch was released. And to be absolutely sure just now downloaded and reinstalled the patch again.Unfortunately I am still unable to stay on runway with ER while x-wind conditions. I did test at ksea 34R winds 070/25 and LR (as well as Level-D + all PMDG) I am able to land ok and track the centerline with nose wheel while braking. Yes there is lateral movement but that is what x-wind landings are all about.With ER she makes a good touchdown but then starts drifting towards the wind and goes wide dispite my efforts to steer. Lateral control is not possible to maintain after wheels on the ground. I do realise it is a long aircraft and cockpit is some distance from MLG but this thing skids sideways and nothing can be done.Also fuel flow is lbs/hr when everything else is kg's and still ER burns less (roughly what 767 in real world would) on cruise than LR which can not be the case.I do trust these issues will be solved.Best Rgs Perttu

  10. Dear Graham,I think you should call it a patch since you (PSS) are openly admitting that there are still issues to be solved. My (otherwise fantastic and exciting) triple 7 causes sim to lock up while altering waypoints in FMC. And therefore it is unflyable as long as the fix can be installed. Ultimately people get angry with PSS when you promote stuff to come and they can not use existing packages as they wish. All the best with 757 release but please release 777 patch or a fix or whatever you wish to call it first to show that you care customers who have faith in you. Perttu

  13. Hello PSS,Any comment on this? 773 also does consume less fuel (only 6000 kg/hour) on cruise than LR. I really wish FDE could be more accurate since 773ER is very exciting aircraft. Also what I find strange I have kg's everywhere except fuel flow is in lbs/hr. Perttu
  14. Hello,I am pleased with 777LR FDE but I find 777-300ER impossible to land when strong xwind's. I did testing and LR is more than ok (stays under control and on runway...) still with up to 30 knt wind component. I can not land 300 ER at such conditions. It will make perfect touchdown but then starts drifting wide and will exit runway towards the wind - even full rudder and aileron & diff braking simply can not keep her on runway.Is there specific reason for such difference. I believe real thing must be very close each other due to FBW technology...Best Rgs Perttu

What you are saying is more or less why I am looking to buy this add on.However could you let me know your views on following items:- Navdata - how complete it is? Are there Sid/Star's for EU area especially also smaller airports in Finland&Sweden&Norway?- If no Sid/Star available is it difficult to write one myself? - Is it possible to enter fix into FMC?and- How is the sound environment with MDmax? I do not favor pure engine sound modelling but realistic LDS style complete environment.Navdata issue is important since I would be flying mainly with fantastic FISD freeware scenery in Finland and also other smaller airports (ESGG, ENBR...) in Nordics.Happy flying & Thanks for the help. I have tried to email developers but no luck with reply sofar.I would highly appreciate feedbeck on following issues:- In terms of system modelling MDMax is on par (or even ahead?) with LDS/PMDG?- Flightmodelling is acceptable, maybe excellent?- Frame rates comparing to other complex sim's? - Product is more or less patched; are there major issues not being solved by now?- Navdata - how complete it is? Hello,Now 400 hrs with fantastic 744 without any major problems.However with new Aerosoft Mega eddf scenery, FS Meteo, RC4 and moderate AI I did suddenly get CTD (my very first with 744!) at short final after 10,5 hrs flying. Cause was out of memory. I do have relatively powerful pc with 1,5 gig memory (and pagefile disabled).I did fly same leg (SBGR-EDDF) the with pagefile enabled and no CTD but some stutters in finals. Since then I have done some testing and I do notice that with mega EDDF memory usage is very high -> up to 1.4 gigs. Also 744 requires a lot more memory than LDS 763, all PSS, NG I think. With my CTD flight reflow I did get following mem usage. At the gate SBGR mem usage was 0,9 gig with all set + RC and weather loaded. During the flight it does increase peaking at arrival stage up to 1.4 gig.Is this normal? Best Rgs Perttu

  22. Hi all,I would appreciaciate your objective comments (preferably from experienced users) on the current status of PSS 777. As I understand it was prematurely launched and some problems were encontered. By reading the reviews and looking thru the PSS forum I am not sure how things are now. Boxed edition to be lauched would however suggest that all relevant issues are fixed.If you compare this package with LDS 767 or PMDG 747 would you say it is up there or is there still room for development. As many simmers I too think LDS is very much complete (perfect) and PMDG 747 would be just as complete with (LDSclub style) performance manual included.I am especially interested how realistic the 777 flight model currently is and how well autopilot functions (lnav, vnav etc) are modelled. Are the lnav, vnav, ils/gs capture &hold as smooth and solid as with LDS/PMDG? Also your opinion on the sounds is welcome - I appreaciate very much realistic cockpit environment rather than pure engine sounds. I think above are the key areas where PSS Airbuses aren't too good unfortunately. When using them I really miss ac/apu sound, Vx, gear callouts etc. And to buy 777 it must have these features.Looking forward to your comments... Perttu

    Hi all,What would be cool is to have option 'descent when ready' from cruise altitude when above FL240. Then FMC capabilities on advanced addons like LDS or PMDG could be utilised even better.Also I suppose this is also a realistic procedure if allowed by circumstances - atleast I can recall in real world getting this sort of clearance on flights into EFHK and ESSA when I have been able to get the jump seat on flightdeck for my flight.Also with previous RC version one was able to ask (and obtain) cruise level again after initial descent and when at FMC calculated TD ask for lower levels to FL 150 and the get final clearances from there. I do miss this a bit since initial descent (380 - 350 etc.) during low traffic levels/areas comes very early for most addons. Best Rgs Perttu
