Fantastic aircraft, got to grips with it pretty quickly and havent stopped using it since.. Ive been able to sort out the couple of niggles i had, but am unable to sort the following and wonder if anyone else has had the problem When using squawk box, i am able to tune com1 into a frequency and set mic and speaker to it. Normally you can also tune a station to com2 and just listen in on this. I am unable to do this for some reason. When a second station is tuned you get the message on Squawkbox that you are receiving and transmitting on X freq and listening only on Y freq Hope this explains and someone can help Many regards Andy

HiI purchased the md-11, installed it, and then downloaded and installed some of the liveries. I had a problem with my pc anduninstalled some software including my flight sim programs. I have since re installed everything, but when i install the livery (UPS), the UPS aircraft doesnt appear in the menu to select that variant. I uninstalled the software and tried again but to no avail. I have even been as far as uninstalling FSX and the MD-11 and did a complete reinstall, but it is just the same. The only thing im not sure about is when installing the livery, the files seem to copy across, but then jumps straight back to my desktop, i dont get a message telling me the software installed correctly. Is this normal. Hope someone can helpThank youAndy B

Hi SusanThink you will find the other 2 hyd systems are pressurisedafter main engine start. System 3 is used for push back (nose gear) and braking i think. I didnt realise it was used to trimthe stabilizer though, i learned something today :-) ...Andy B

HiI would like to also echo my congratulations to all in the PMDGteam and not forgetting the beta testers and technical supportteams. It has been long awaited and over the last couple of weeksits been fever pitch on the forums. I suppose the reason for thisis after the awesome job you did on the queen, no one can wait tofly the MD-11. I have never posted on the forum before, but i couldntmiss a thank you for the MD-11 which i downloaded this morning, but as yet, not installed due to work commitments. HiThanks for your reply, no the cockpit tips are off, but still get the altimeter setting prompt when on the ground. I wonder if this is a problem with fs itself. Does the use of cockpit tips oause a problem with the queen. If so i may reinstall fs9Thanks for your helpAndyB

Thanks for your reply Randy, i tried a few settings along with the default, but to no avail, problem still there. Im a bit foxed by it, but its not critical as i can set trim and see tape moving, and the fuel remaining from dump set up is shown on eicas. Its one of those things that just annoy you because you cant find out why lol. Thanks for suggestion anywayAndy B

Hi there hope some one can help. Ive had the queen and F variant since they were launched. Had no troubles until just recently. When trying to set trim on the pedastal I used to get a box come up and i could see the trim settings. I also noticed that the same box that comes up for dumping fuel (amount you want left) doesnt show either. I dont know if this is caused by the same thing, but when i have set my V speeds up in fmc, i only get the V1 and Vr speeds displayed on the pfd, the V2 speed is missing. The last one isnt a major problem because i hear the call out for V2. Has anyone experienced/solved a similar problem?. Just to let you know i have done a reinstall but the problem still exists. Any help appreciatedAndyB

Hi wonder is someone could help. What do people use to work out the ZFW, i have fuel planners and I know BOW of the 747, but what figure is used to calculate the weight of a person. Iuse fsbuild2, but cant find anywhere in the program that asks how many people are on board, or cargo/baggage. I also use FS keeper, and although you can put the pax and cargo figures into the program, it appears the ZFW remains the same, and all the utilities I have give a different ZFWHope someone can touch on this subject for meRegardsAndy
