FMC error with a specific Airport
downscc I always load PMDG flight plans in FS Build without SID's and STAR's. The CO Route does populate both the Departure (KJFK) and Arrival (CYVR)airports on the ROUTE page. I always select the departure and arrival airports in the FMC via the FMC Dep/Arr mode when using FMC CO Route for the flight plan in order to select the specific runway, SIDs, STARS, TRANSITIONS, etc. When using the FMC CO Route mode for this particular flight plan KJFK to CYVR (utilizing the FS Build generated KJFKCYVR.rte output), when I select the associated KJFK departure in the FMC (FMC Dep/Arr mode) it populates just fine and I can select the airport, SID, STAR, etc. (they are all there), but when I select the CYVR arrival airport in the FMC (FMC Dep/Arr mode) it displays no airports, no SIDS, no STARS...nothing, and gives the error message indicated above. The bottom line is that as a result I cannot fly an autopilot controlled arrival into CYVR. Again, IMO this cannot be a general PMDG aircraft issue as the PMDG 737NG aircraft utilizing the same FS Build generated flight plan loads just fine in the FMC, and all airport information via the FMC Dep/Arr selections display/load just fine. It must be an issue with the PMDG 777 200LR and 777 300ER only. I have followed every PMDG recommendation (including the recommended additions in the configuration file) when loading the programs (including running as Administrator, etc.), and I had the exact same programs on my existing computer which worked flawlessly (with the SP1C updates for both that is). Again the PMDG Operations Center says I have the latest updates loaded for both the PMDG 777 200LR and 300ER. If the PMDG 737 NG had the same issue, I would think that there may be a registry problem in my new computer. But this ONLY happens with the PMDG 777 200LR and 300ER. There must be a fix without having to try the uninstall/reinstall PMDG 777 programs, which forces one to then have to reload many saved PMDG flights again and again.

FMC error with a specific Airport
I had to reload the PMDG 777 200LR and 300ER and FS Build (for FSX) to a higher end new computer. Of course FSX was also reloaded with all updates. I loaded the PMDG 777 200LR and 300ER by using the original PMDG email link (from purchase) and placing in the registration numbers from the original downloads and following the exact same loading process as done on the old computer. The PMDG Operations Center says that I have the latest uploads for both programs, which I am interpreting also means I have SP1C updates properly installed on both. I downloaded from Navigraph AIRAC 1501 (latest) for both PMDG and FS Build. I created a flight plan to be used with the PMDG 777 300ER from KJFK to CYVR. After loading in the FS Build generated flight plan/build (KJFKCYVR.rte) into the FMC via CO Route, and then attempting to load in the Departure and Arrival Airports, the KJFK departure airport runways, etc. were fine and loaded. When attempting to load the CYVR arrival airport there was no data present and had the FMC error code of ERR: 13 Rwy N/A. I had selected CYVR Rwy 08L in FSB originally. Nothing I did would resolve this, so uninstalled FSB AIRAC 1501 and went back to AIRAC 1412 which was working flawlessly on my old computer. Received the same error message in the FMC with AIRAC 1412. BTW, as part of this new computer loading I reloaded the FS Dream Team Airports (both KJFK and CYVR were two of them) using the original links and registration numbers. I see the above original post on this apparently wasn't resolved. What is the recommended fix as I did not have this issue on my old computer and I am quite confident the new computer is not the issue. I don't know where the issue resides, PMDG, FS Build, FS Dream Team airports...? Forgot to mention in the previous post. I loaded this same flight plan in the PMDG 737NG and all worked fine in the FMC, so I am only having this FMC dep/arr airport issue with the PMDG 777 200LR and 777 300ER.

Problems with time compression 8x
I couldn't find the official notice on this PMDG AVSIM site that SP1C had been completed and was available, other than the comments above. So I went to the PMDG main site and found the SP1C update and downloaded for both the 777 200LR and 300ER. After download I started FSX and enabled one of my saved 777 200LR Flights in FSX and a notice came up that my previous AAL 777 200LR livery (that I had prior to loading SP1C) was no longer available. The flight situation started up with the standard FSX ultralite instead. I did the same for a 777 300ER flight plan saved in FSX and same result. I thought this was just the update to fix the time compression situation? Does this SP1C update also remove all 777 liveries that one previously had, and end up with just the PMDG base 777 liveries? Did I do something wrong in the SP1C download? Do I now (once again after just doing it for SP1B) need to go back and start over and recreate my flight situations that I had in the FSX file previously to downloading SP1C? James

Problems with time compression 8x
What's the official expected fix date for the 777 200LR and 777 300ER time compression issue. I can't tell from the above conversation(s). Just trying to understand status.

Problems with time compression 8x
Same issue. Prior to SP1b the 777 200LR was flawless in terms of time compression. I also had made the recommended changes with the previous SP and the OOM issues went away. Now I cannot use time compression beyond 4X (as well as with the 777 300ER). I am also now experiencing OOM issues again... unbelievably last night in a short test flight from KSEA to KJFK. Had no issues with the previous SP after OOM optimizing, even with 14 hour flights. So for now the SP1b 777 is unfortunately parked. Looking forward to the fix as soon as is practical. BTW, the weather radar with ASN is fabulous and as close at it can be to the real 777. Answers to questions same as Ingrimmsch's above.

Engine generator won't kick in and C2 Primary fault
tcas_climb Need clarification please- I'm assuming you are recommending to go into FSX with a PMDG 777 properly running situation and into the FMC to Menu/PMDG Setup/Start Up State and then delete all files there except for those which originally came with the PMDG 777 (777 CLDDRK, 777 LONG, 777 SHORT). I have 12 other saved start up situations in "startup State" other than these three (I put them in originally thinking that I had to select and load that specific panel state when starting the 777 to repeat the original flight- as is done with the IFly 737NG). These states in the "startup state" location are the same as in "Load Panel State." I'm assuming I should remove those 12 other start up states? Tried to use the FMC "delete" to remove those 12 start up states. Doesn't work. How do I remove those 12 start up states from the "startup state" FMC location? I went into the PMDG folder and looked for a file that says "current save state". Can't find. Where is that file in the PMDG folder? Also I'm not sure what you mean by "move the "current save state" file to another location." Can you please be more specific. Can you give me an example of what should be in FMC "startup state" location to make sure that one avoids a potentially corrupted panel state? Thx

B777 200 Saved FSX Flights Now Load with No Cockpit Displays-All Blank
Thanks Mike, Flights are saved in FSX/PMDG/PMDG777X/Panel State exactly as you note FSX is not installed on x86...totally separate. I do run FSX as an administrator FS Build flight planner worked fine with other PMDG 777 200 flight plans, just now started having issues with 777 200 not allowing me to save any 777 200 flight plans and then have them work after initially saving. The most recent PMDG 777 200 flight plan uses LFPG as the departure airport which doesn't work after saving the FSX flight. Reading in forums I haven't seen that one as a problem with the altitude below sea level issue. Using Active Sky Evolution, it has been flawless with all sims, including the PMDG 777 with saved PMDG FSX flights that do work properly. Not being able to use that great weather program is likely going to be a big issue if that is necessary to resolve this issue. But I will give it shot in saving a 777 200 flight plan and seeing if it loads afterwards, without ASE and see what happens. I am also now encountering once in a while OOM issues....never had that issue with any other sim...and I have flown thousands of hours with various high end sims, and I have a high end computer. I will try the manual loading, but there's just nothing like that great FSB program to create and download CO routes into the FMC. If I had this same problem with other sims I would think it might be a system or FSX issue, but this is the first time I have encountered issues with not being able to load saved FSX flights, and OOM issues. Maybe SP1 will fix?

B777 200 Saved FSX Flights Now Load with No Cockpit Displays-All Blank
Hey Mike Been very busy at work so am just now able to get back to this thread. Answers to your questions: To try a different approach , I deleted the FSX 777 saved FSX situation I loaded and that came up blank and with no countdown, to rule out loading two 777 flight plans right after each other. I then rebuilt the same flightplan that I had deleted via FS Build and then sent to the PMDG 777 flight plan file (I know this works as I have other 777 flightplans that work from FSB generated flight plans). I then started FSX and this was the first FSX program opening after computer start (Ultralite was showing), loaded PMDG 777 200 aircraft, current location, current weather (I'm using Active Sky Evolution), and current time and season (no fuel or payload as this is done thru 777 Menu options), and selected "fly now". PMDG 777 200 aircraft came up running and with countdown active, and loaded properly. I then brought in the CO route generated from FSB (was fine) and set up the FMC, cockpit preparation, fuel and payload, etc. After fully prepared flight I saved to FSX with a defined name. I then shut down FSX. To test I then reopened FSX, and then with flight "load" function, I loaded in the previously saved 777 200 flight. Came up with no countdown, the overhead panel showing all normal status lights, but all other gages totally blank. The FMC was also blank and I couldn't bring up the FMC "menu" to try that approach. There was some sound but couldn't determine where it was coming from (APU, etc.). When switching view to external view the plane is shown with no landing gear. The departure airport was not a scenery upgrade so it doesn't look like a conflict with scenery was active. I created and saved several flight plans for the PMDG 777 200 with success, but then this situation just started and now I can't save any FSX flight plans that when I come back to fly after the original save will start, have the normal countdown, don't have gage blanked, etc. I did this same thing with the default PMDG 77 200 livery thinking that maybe another livery was causing an issue, but no difference, same result. So, still stumped.

B777 200 Saved FSX Flights Now Load with No Cockpit Displays-All Blank
I recently purchased the PMDG B77 200 and love it. I used FS Build to create a couple flight plans, brought up the B777 via normal FSX procedures, set all of the flight parameters including all FMC parameters and then saved the flight situation. Opened the saved flight situation later and flew both saved flights and everything was fine. I created a third (and then fourth) flight plan via FSB, went thru same procedure as before, and then saved the flight in FSX. When I opened I didn't get the normal 14 or so seconds of B777 simulation load time, all of the overhead panel showed normal conditions but all of the cockpit displays (MCP, ND, PFD, EICAS, etc.) were blank. Did a fourth flight plan, followed all of the normal FSX procedures, etc. and same thing, no cockpit displays (all blank). Went back to the two original saved flights and opened and all was well, but the last two, of which I followed exactly the same procedure as the first two have the completely blank cockpit displays upon loading the FSX saved situation. I tried everything, can't figure it out. If all saved flights did the same thing I would think a reload of the B777 program may be in order, but it's not consistent. Ideas, suggestions, what do I need to do or look at? Thx.

ASE Automatic Sequential Playback
I knew how automatic sequential playback of METARS worked in ASV6.5 but now that I have ASE (and think it's great) how does ASP work and how do I enable it in ASE in order to use historical weather (METAR) data in offline mode and have the weather change automatically as long term flights progress.
-
Can't Make Automatic Sequence Playback Work
If I fly (FS9) in online mode ASV6.5 Build 553 keeps up with the system time and automatically brings up the current METARS during a multi-hour flight. If I fly in offline mode with using automatic sequence playback, downloading the appropriate ASV Z time METAR for departure time and all hours after for a multi-hour flight, and with FS time enabled and synched, I don't get the proper METAR updates as FS time changes to the next METAR hour during the flight. No matter what I do I can't make it work. What ASV options settings do I need to make sure are enabled/disabled, and what is the sequence procedure for FS9/ASV to make this work? I have read several times the ASV manual and still can't make this work.

Sequential Playback versus New Route Weather Depiction
cat3appr replied to cat3appr's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumAlso, if I choose to use "offline sequence playback" mode, does that mean I need to check the "enable offline sequence playback" option and make sure to uncheck the "TAF processing" option? And vice versa if I choose to use TAF processing mode I need to have the "TAF processing" option checked and make sure to uncheck the "enable offline sequence playback" option? In offline sequence playback mode, does the weather get updated only once an hour when FS time aligns with the downloaded and saved METAR time(s) and that no TAF weather is ever used?

Sequential Playback versus New Route Weather Depiction
Assuming I'm departing KORD at 1900Z and arriving at KMIA at 2130Z on 11/18/08. I want the most accurate weather depiction from ASV6.5 for this flight plan. As I understand it, I have two options- download the historical weather for 1900Z on 11/18/08 and load a flight plan and import and use "new route" and the weather will be depicted via TAF's when the METAR time has elapsed- OR- download the METARS for 19Z, 20Z, 21Z for 11/18 and use "offline sequential playback" mode with FS time and offline mode. Which of the two options above would give me the most representative weather depiction of the actual weather during this flight time/plan? When using "new route" instead of "sequential playback", does ASV automatically update the weather by going back and getting the METARS at various times during the flight or does it simply use the TAF's for the various waypoints when the 30 minute (initial) METAR time expires? Does ASV automatically go to the saved ASV weather files in offline mode to get the weather in sequential playback mode, and get/update same based on the FS time?

ATC Glide Slope Capture From Above
jd,Thx for the reply. Was not really questioning the DEGAN altitude constraint relative to vectoring to 4R ILS within RC (BTW I think RC4 is a great add-on and I enjoy it immensely and use it consistently for that real world feel-offline)but was assuming there may be some RW ATC controllers in this forum who may provide some insight into the 8000A DEGAN crossing altitude and the consequent need for (dive) entry into the 4R ILS from above the GS, particularly from a somewhat straight in approach from the BDF4 STAR. And was wondering how common it is for entry into an ILS from above the GS? Thx again for a GREAT product and the great support.
