  1. Hi All,I am flying B744/MD11 and NGX, but seem to have a comon problem. When performing (more attempting) an autoland , all aircaft are lining up left of the runway. And loc pointer shows steer to the right.Using FSX sp2 , asa weather, Fs-scene and efbMaybe it is an old question, but can not find it on the forum,Can anybody help with this issue? Thanks in advance,Sincerly,Bob
  2. Hi, All Maybe some one can give me a hint. I tried today 2 flights, VABB to VOCI and VOCI to VIDP . Take off and initial climb /cruise works fine, no problems there. Than preperations for decent and landing that is where the problems start.FMC entries oke , runway star etc. Than decending , switching from Vc and 2d panel freeze of simulation resulting in restart of FSX. Does any body has the same problem, or a fix to this? I read on the forum that it happens to more people. I have FSX fully updatedWin7 64bitQuad core 2.8 mhz4 gig RamASA evulotion/Fs scene sincerlyBob
  3. Hi, You have either loaded your aircraft too much and/or you have too much fuel onboard for your planned trip. To get rid of some fuel, you can use the fuel dump switcht on the overhead. Fuel dumping is automatic on the MD11, but calculate how much weight you need to loose and use the fuel totolizer as reference to stop.It is a expensive way to fly specially if you fly for a Va. You can go to the PMDG folder on the taskbar of FS9 or FSX and retype the fuel load to a lesser value. hope this is of some help, Bob
  4. Hi All, I would like to sat Thanks to Ryan Maziarz, for helping me to activate the NGX on my system. To inform you Ryan, i made the Tut flight Stansted to Amsterdam, and the plane workes fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again for the help also thanks to PMDG for the support great guy`ssssssssss Sincerly,Bob CornettA happy Pilot now,,
  5. Hi All at PMDG, When checkong the forum for a solution to the activation problem i saw the topic removed. Pls can someone at PMDG give us an update on the status of a sollution? Best regards,Bob
  6. Not really yet , still can not activate the 8/900 Bob
  7. Hi Guys,Please can you send me a copy of the aircraft weight`s/load sheet and weather , and your performance(like n-1 cost index(i use 150).
  8. Hi Guy`s,The MD11 is a great aircraft but you have to stay in the envelope written in the FCTM`s.Means load your aircraft within the limitations hevy/light doe not matter but watch you ZFW cg and TOW cg, they should be at a middle value between the upper and lower limit.Next is determine how much thurst you need to get of a given runway/runway conditions. This is to determine your derate temp, otherwise known as reduced thurst T/OThe MD11 is overpowerd so i can make short trips light and use short runway`s KLM uses the MD!! even for stretchec AUA-CUR 15min airtime CUR-BON visa versa. The highest climb rate i exoerienced vas in excess of 6000ft/min, but speed hold at V2+20.The MD11 has the highest pitch during T/O and initial Climb around 22 deg pitch up.That is what you see when watching a MD11 takes off,.I use Top Cat take of performance tool to determine my assumed temp for a derate T/O , KLM does not use TO2 or TO1, clb power is left for the FMC in prof mode.To be short , load your MD11 according the FCTM and AOM obey the cg values, determine the FUEL load(can be Topcat) and use topcat for asumed temeratue for a derate T/O and you will be ok.My clb rates are between 1000 and 2000 ft/min for clb above fl200 and during step climb`ssincerly,Bob Cornett
  9. Hi All,Sorry to disagree. The FMC page with packs on or off option is for thrust calculations.Normal use is a packs on take-off, but at high altitude airfields or extreme temperatures combined with a maximum take-off weight the packs are switched off.You tell the FMC this and before t/o you switch packs off and during initial climb you switch them back on.Sincerly,Bob
  10. Dan good evening,Sorry to disagree with you, but i try to keep it simple. The MD11 is a pure hydraulic power operated aircraft.Yes there is a mechanical connection, to give a feedback to the control collum and rudder pedals, but positionfeed back only. The elevator has a feel computor which adjust tension on several springs depending on stabilizer position and airspeed. By that is has a variabel feel, but pure artificial.Ailerons and rudder are pure spring based feel mechanisms. With the control collum or pedals you move a hyd pilot valve which in turn directs the hydraulic actuator which moves the aileron/rudder or elevator. To put it short you move the collum or pedals against a tension spring. The MD11 also has force sensors in the control collum, which gives a direct link to the hyd actuators to move the control surfaces. An early version of the fly-by wire system, the DC10 had it aswell. The primairy mode for flying the MD11 is control wheel steering(fly by wire) and auto pilot. The cable system is for position feedback and artificial feel. only and backup control if needed.Hope this gives some inside into the MD11 my queen of the skies!!!!Sincerly ,Bob Cornett
