Hi, I downloaded WashDCX for my FSX Acceleration program but I cannot seem to add it via the Settings/Add Area option. I hit the right buttons but nothing gets added. I am wondering if this is maybe something to with UAC or if it is because it installed in the Add Ons directory. I already have Add Ons listed on my installed scenery but it seems to be non scenery specific and I have a few other sceneries in there as well as WashDSX which are not listed individually either. Is there any way of telling if a scenery has installed properly or not?

Hi, I have GEX and UTX (but not REX) and FSGlobal 2010 (which has now been upgraded to FSGlobal Ultimate I think). My take on this is that the FSGlobal is an elevation mesh that puts most places at the correct altitude so when I reinstalled recently I loaded that first. As for the other two they are replacement Ground textures that look better than the standard FSX scenery textures. They complement each other so give you more accurate roads, rivers and towns and are tweakable through their simple interfaces to give you the best frame rates in just about every scenery aspect you can imagine.

Is it ... Can it be .... Our most favourite of all time FS reincarnated?????????? I gave up on FUIII a while back and now fly FSX with either ORBX or Photo real sceneries. I would toss FSX in a second if this was really FU reborn and it could run on a PC. Not going to pay $5 for the game and $400 for an Iphone though.

More than a day late and a dollar short with this one, but I think there used to be a bush flying virtual airline that used FUIII. Does anyone know if that is still in existence or if there might be any active VA that used our beloved program please :(

Stupid question I know but how do you tell if you are running FSX SP2 then?I have applied so many patches and fixes to programs on my PC that I forget. I too got the out of memory message last night and have 4gb of ram.

Hi Phil,There is also another option called Tileproxy that lets you download photo scenery for free from a virtual earth browser. This has been around for a couple of years now and it up to version 8. I found out about it after I bought the JF scenery. (I think what Tileproxy means for us is that we can have photo scenery for every country that is covered by a satellite for free providing we have enough HD space and no small download limits).I cannot comment on the Horizon scenery but I was disappointed with the JF scenery because I found there were no 3d buildings at all in London! I ended up buying VFR London as well to correct this. I am sure most virtual flyers would like to do a low and slow journey through London and check out the landmarks. Not sure why JF went that way, the major buildings are there in Tileproxy and other commercial offerings like the Taburet series of vfr cities. :(

I saw this complete collection at a discount price so bought it. I now understand the discount price. I am not happy with the total lack of 3d buildings especially when flying out of London city. Does anyone know if there is a 3rd party add on that is compatible with it please? I was thinking of Aerosoft London scenery. I have a few other photo real scenery packages from other companies (eg. Tabullet San Francisco, Megascenery Las Vegas, Hawaii) and they still managed to retain their man made land marks, I cant understand why Just Flight couldnt have done better. Their packages lacks the clarity of google earth as well. :(

On vacation for 5 weeks. Get back and fire up FSX to see some of the places I have visited and I get this error box message."SCENERY.CFG file error. Invalid Remote scenery path in scenery Area.129. Click OK to continue" Anyone know of a fix for this. I can click ok and continue but it is annoying. Also, anyone know of FSX scenery for the west rim of Grand Canyon? We went on the glass bridge and it was really good.

Hi,Does anyone know of anything like FS Sound Scape for FSX? That was one great utility for FS2002 that let you attach sounds to scenery.

If you post the name of the file you are downloading then I would be happy to try it myself and respond with what I did to get it up and running if I can. I am assuming you have unzipped the file and put the .res file in the plnpile directory.
