Thanks for the responses. I had no idea that my video card was low-end. I paid a decent amount of money for it just last year. As far as overclocking, I am completely clueless how to do that. Best, Kurt Collins

Greetings all! I need your help in recommending what to upgrade to get FSX running smoothly with the NGX and upcoming 777. Currently with my setting nearly maxed I can get roughly 45-50 FPS with a default c172. As soon as I switch to the NGX it drops to a mere 12-14 FPS. Here are my specs: Intel i7 920 @ 2.67GHz EVGA X58 motherboard 6GB(3x2GB) RAM DDR3 Tripple channel at 2122.6 MHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti 2GB So, I have a Newegg account and plenty of credit to spar with them. What needs to be upgraded in order for me to have a steady 25-30 FPS with the NGX? I run REX, TacPack and the Warthog GUI software in the background. Thank you all in advance. Best, Kurt Collins

Guys it was a mistake. In fact I made the same one just a few days ago. I even tried searching for my topic. I then discovered I could click on my profile and find them that way.We all make mistakes.I have found that people tend to be a little quick to jump on someone in here.I think we all need vacations. Or to not take all of this so seriously. :)

I posted a topic about VC animations the other night.I logged on today and see that it has been removed.So that I may understand and prevent my posts getting deleted again, what was the issue with my post?EDIT: Never mind....I am an idiot....I did not scroll down enough....disregard this topic.

I am even a bit hesitant in writing this....but I will anyway.Will we ever see any cockpit animations such as the arm rests raising and lowering or seats moving forward or backward in the VC?I know this is silly and small.*please forgive me if this has already been addressed. **please note that I am not complaining just curious.

I tried the Cessna trick and it seems to be working. Is there going to be any update that will prevent us from having to load a cessna first? Just a thought. The "Thrust set" issue was purely on my end. Hard to believe I'm an actually commercial pilot. I was totally forgetting that you spoil up the engines to get a stable reading at 75% N1 and then hit the green button for "auto throttle" :)

Well bad news is its started all over again today. It worked for 1 flight then when I came home today it did the same thing again. It is also messing up the "Thrust Set" call during take-off then I hit "auto-thrust" and it spots off like 4 phrases then goes as normal. I don't get it :( help I really don't want to have to install uninstall time and time again.

Well It is also happening to me as well. I tried an uninstall then reinstall and it worked. Everything is back to normal again.

YAY!!! Ok..so I just tried this out and it works!! So anyone having this same issue simply follow the procedure above. Thanks again PMDG you all are the best out there! :)Happy flying!Kurt Collins

this is the response from the email to the PMDG tech support. YOU GUYS AT PMDG ARE SO GREAT!!! :)"This problem was discussed several months ago on the forum with the 747-400X. The end result appeared to be an issue either the core FSX files or the FSX.exe registry location. The easiest thing to try to repair it is to see if the FSX registry is corrupt. There is a tool available from our friends at Flight 1 that can be used to repair the registry path for FS9 and FSX. You can find this file at http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=library and once you download that and run it you should be all set.
