  2. Ive used this, which I believe I got from Avsim, but is a few yrs old now but seems to work OK;Dreamwings Dash 8 Q400/PSS Dash Q300 Panel mergeI always looked for a good panel for my Dreamwings dash 8-400, but there weren't any. So after I got the PSS Dash 8 for my Birthday I decided to merge them.Installation:1: Make a BACKUP of your Dreamwings q400 Aircraft.cfg and the old Dash8Q400.air file!!!!2: unzip the file to a temporary folder. 3: copy the liverys from your old aircraft.cfg into the new one4: copy the new Dash8Q400.air (which is in the zipfile) and the new Aircraft.cfg to your Dreamwings Dash 8-4005: Copy the PSS q300 panel into the Dreamwings Aircraft and rename it into panel.6: Enjoy! For Questions, comments and ect. email me on alex_teichmann767@yahoo.de steve

  6. Why are some of the larger scenery builders not building for FS9?There still a market for these sceneries and they must be loosing out on alot of revenue.Look at this thread from "flyhalf" entry 10, regarding the recent Paphos scenery.http://forum.avsim.net/topic/319752-paphos-international-airport-lcph-for-fs2004/page__p__1886044__hl__paphos__fromsearch__1#entry1886044Steve

  9. Apparently FS9 is CPU intensive, more so that FSX.Your CPU is only running at 2.33GHz which I would suggest is to slow.(I stand to be corrected by the comp experts). Can you over clock it to run 3 ghz.Ive still got an old Pentium P4 running at 3 ghz with loads of addons ect and ive fixed the frame rate at 24.If you search the forums youll pick up loads on this steve
  10. Ive an older system than yours, and have the frame rates locked at 24.I use the Nick N settings which he posted years ago which work for me.Heres a copyGreetings, Still no idea about your video card. That has a HUGE impact. THis was posted by Nick, ages ago... FS9 CONFIGURATION FILE REBUILDSave a copy of your current FS9.cfg file in a safe place. 17. Good advice OPA, have you made the extra ram trick which ive read somewhere, but cant find now? steve
  18. Ive read Opa,s tips on installing FS2004 into windows 7.I'm also aware of the scenery bug.Are there any other tips or things which will make my installation easier. Ive alot to install, scenery and aircraft.I'm getting a i3 550 overclocked, 4 gb of 1600mhz of ram and a GTX460 card, in my new system. Should run FS2004 well I hope. What about the trick so that FS2004 recognises the extra ram? Thanks for your help in advance Steve
  19. I'm getting close to making the jump from XP to Win 7.I'm still using FS2004 because of my financial commitment in FS2004.On payware scenery ie Aerosoft, the installer usually installs the scenery itself into its own aerosoft folder within FS2004.Is this still the case with Win 7 or do you need to use this new method. So in payware cases you need to unzip into a new folder and manually install as described in this thread.Ive so much scenery installed in XP I keep putting off moving to Win 7 because of these reasons. thanks Steve

  22. I'm hopefully getting a new computer soon. The operating system will be Windows7, and I'm staying with FS2004.Ive read numerous threads about FS9 and FSX need to be added to a different location in windows7 than in XP.Is there a defining thread or example on how to install FS9 onto a windows7 system. Do you need a separate hard drive? excuse the basic computer language and hope you understand what I mean Steve
