I wish I never started this thread. I was just saying I couldnt get on with the cycle views in steam. I didnt like the wide spead view or wing view looking at the aircraft which was all out of proportion. The start up page? Just prefer FS9. Also the PSS stuff doesnt work which I thought it would. I managed to edit and install some AI which worked OK though. Steve

Well ive just tried fsx steam only because it was in a sale. Im back within 2 days to good old FS9. I downloaded all my compatable sceneries and aircraft (QualityWings 757). Did the FSX CFG tweeks and everything worked quite well. But I couldnt get on with the aircraft and views that FSX gives. It was dreadful. The start was, well, not the same. Plus my good old PSS 757 and 777 and Airbuses didnt work. I couldnt see much difference between Fs9 with all my addons and tweeks, and steam, just ai cars ships etc moving about. I did fancy buying the aerosoft A300 (which isnt for FS9). Glad I never bought it now. Well Im back for good. Steve

Ive disabled GMX as per instructions. Do I need to get rid of the KB now or just leave as it is disabled. Thanks Steve

Perhaps Ive written this up incorrectly. The AI approach from the East heading towards Paphos. With active sky runway 29 is the active. Real world aircraft approach over the sea heading East. When around 8 miles out they will turn North and then onto the ILS. Cant seam to get AI to do this. They always head East over the land North of Paphos and turn South onto the ILS. Steve

As title says. ie, Paphos in Cyprus aircraft using R/W 29 always approach over the sea and not over the land. In FS9 the opposite happens always over the land. Is there anyway that you can change this in FS9 so that AI approach in a direction that you want. Steve

If you want to get rid of the default AI go to your FS9 file on your computer open scenery/world/scenery and find traffic 030528 bgl. take this out but save as backup or just disable it in situe. You will now have no default AI, but just your own Ai which you have added with your flight plans. ie WOAI or as I do add the plans and AI myself via TTools. Steve

How many cloud layers have you set (if you can in REX?) I use Active Sky Evolution and have set it to 5 Max layers. The more layers you use the more chance of stutters. Steve

Always go with UK2000. Gary always supports FS9 in all of his scenerys, which cant be said of alot of makers. Just to say Ive have most of his scenerys apart from Heathrow so I cant help here. But all his others work great in FS9 with fantasic frame rates with full on AI. Steve

If your using the PSS panel then use the merger details by Christopher Barbas (in the library). I use it for all A319, 320, and 321. Steve

I to would love to buy Dublin for FS9. AS keep saying theres no money in FS9. Id love to see some figures showing this as I cant see it. Steve

Just a quick update. Tried to install on a laptop with fresh install of FS9. Installer found FS9 but when it came to activation via the sim giants web site.....crash. I informed FS Pilotshop who themselves tried and got the same result. They have taken this product off their product list pending contact with sim giants. I have been offered a full refund which I have accepted. Great customer service which I thought deserved a mention. Which is the best Tenerife North scenery for FS9? Steve

I am trying to install Sim Giants North tenerife into my FS9 which is on a seperate hard drive to the OS system (W7 64 bit) When I start the installer (using run as admin) it cant find FS2004. There is not a manual override to this installer so Im stuck. Ive contacted the FS pilot shop from whom I purchased re the problem. thay say that my reg path may be broken and suggested Flight 1 reg tool This Ive done but the problem still exists......unable to install. Ive never had this problem before with any scenery installation. If it points to the wrong hard drive I install with the manual overide option pointing it to where it should be. Any suggestions or should I give up as a bad purchase Steve

Scott I'm using w7 64 bit, and before you give up with it I'd uninstall the whole lot and start again. I wouldn't transfer over anything from a external source which has come from XP but add all scenery and aircraft one at a time using the original install exe. I know this takes along time but it worked for me. Look up the sadly late, David "opa" Marshall thread on how to install fs9 in W7 . When I installed mine a year ago I saw the thread your using and (for me) found it to complicated and did not understand it not being very computer literate. Good luck Steve

Scott Just to clarify did you do a fresh install of FS9, ie load each scenery and aircraft one by one. Takes along time but the way I did it, or did you do it some other way, ie plug in a HD and tranfer over the data. I think if youve done it that way there lies your problems. I could be wrong we need other views from some experts (which Im not) Steve Your entry USA and United States could be a AFCAD problem. Check the AFCADS using AFX or ADE to see which is a possible problem. Just a thought Steve

For payware in the UK you must have UK2000 scenery. Steve
