  1. That was it for me, thank you. I had an 'a' from last year and 'aw' for the recent update. Thanks very much for your help - off to test now. Cheers
  2. I've got exactly the same issue but presumed it was me. Default liveries and everything is fine other than with the TDS (latest version) when I can usually fly for 30 mins then it crashes. I updated my Graphics driver as I thought that could be it and always update the 414 when get the email. This doesn't happen with other aircraft with the TDS, but the 414 is my favourite aircraft so it would be shame to have to stop using the TDS unit. Using VNAV has been a trigger in the past, but that could be a coincidence. Cheers
  3. I have used MSFS exclusively for the last 12 months, but since 5.3 have gone back to P3D with true earth for the UK. I’ve just started my PPL training and find true earth way more realistic in terms of colour and being able to navigate VFR than MSFS. I like MSFS but find the trees too dense around roads for proper VFR nav. On top of the above I also get to use A2A aircraft that still feel more realistic (to me anyway) than anything is MSFS. Cheers
  4. I look at this quite simply. FSL completely changed FSX and P3D for me, the most immersive experience I've had that 'ruined' other pay-ware addons overnight. If they can push the boundaries of MSFS in the same way then that would be great, if Fenix can do it as well then double great! At the moment though I've flown neither A320 in MSFS so will have to see who delivers the better product. I want all these developers to succeed, I don't see it as a race, if MSFS is going to be around for years they've all got a chance to take the lead at some point. Either way it's exciting times for their customers! Cheers
  5. This was driving me mad last week. I had one graphics profile that always resulted in this error. It turns out not having 'black-out desktop' enabled was the issue. I don't know why and it might just be me but I thought I'd share!
  6. As mentioned I've had exactly the same problem. I have an i7-7700K at 5.0 and huge cpu spikes every 3 or 4 minutes. The rest of the time cpu is around 30-40% and GPU (2080ti) a stable 60%. I also thought it was scenery loading related and others on the forums seem to agree so I tested the theory with a very boring 1 hour flight over the water. No spikes at all. I've started messing around with the LOD sliders for scenery and buildings and I have to reduce them both to around 50% to make a consistent improvement. I'm flying in the 172 mainly so nothing too fast. The frustration is when things aren't loading the cpu is hardly working. Hopefully there is some kind of optimisation coming - but in the meantime I'll just dial back the sliders. Can I ask if anyone is running LOD higher without spikes? I'm running Hyper Threading on and have tried all other tips I can find. Thanks
  7. I have exactly the same issue as the OP so I’m following this with interest. For me FPS doesn’t reduce but cpu hits max on all cores with some high temps. I’ll post more details when I get a chance.
  8. Success! Not sure if this will help others or what I did exactly that made a difference: 1. Uninstalled current version 2. Manually removed old entry from Apps and features 3. Deleted FLYSIMWARE INFO folder that still existed 4. Downloaded new installer again and installed. Lights now working. Thanks for your help.
  9. Sorry, I was a little vague, I'll try and explain: 1. P3D 4.5 HF2 and since yesterday HF3 2. Windows control panel shows 4.2d (August 2019) 3. I uninstalled using the Apps and Features method but post installation the 4.2d still showed in the list, however when I tried to uninstall it I got a message along the lines of 'program can't be found' 4. When I install 4.3, 4.2 still shows in Apps and Features, When I uninstall 4.3 the uninstall dialogue says 4.3, but post installation 4.2 is still there In addition 4.3 is not detecting my RXP GPS, but is detecting the F1 units. I installed RXP fairly recently, so it appears that I'm somehow not completely getting rid of 4.2. I hope this is somehow related to the lights issue. Any advice how to completely uninstall would be appreciated. I've tried with virus protection on and off. Many thanks
  10. I've just installed the latest version and I'm having the 'no lights' issue. I've tried everything in this thread with no joy. One thing I did notice is that under the windows 'add/remove'' menu the program shows as last year's version, even though the uninstaller itself is the latest. I'm not sure if that's relevant.
  11. It's not just the CTD thing for me. After a very rocky start they produced a good plane that was nearly finished and then just stopped development and moved on to the next project. I'd need convincing they will not just 'disappear' again. A real shame as it was very brave for a new developer to take on the 717 (a plane I love) in the first place.
  12. Yes, they seem to have 'moved on' - very disappointing indeed. I'll pass on on the new release.
  13. Hi, I can program key assignments in the load manager, but then use spad.next to program the same key assignments to the joystick. I'm afraid I've had no luck programming the joy stick through the load manager so can't help really. I've asked the developers for help on the official forum and they have said they will respond - so just waiting. Sorry
  14. Hi, No problem. It will be tomorrow though as im not around to night.
  15. I don't think there's any point in me sharing my profile then, I don't know if it works with the original. I'll let you know if I make any progress........please do the same! Good luck.
