A Ram Question
Hello, I would like to add/upgrade my ram. I have an Alienware (yes I know, slap myself) Aurora R2, i5-655k, HD5870, 6GB (4 banks, 2 of 2) DDR3 PC3-10600 1333 MHZ CasLat 9. The physical config(?) is Dimm0 & 2 contain; 2GB SamSung p/n M378B5673FH0-CH9, Dimm1 & 3 contain; 1GB Kingston p/n KTW149-ELD. I assume that the banks (4) are physical slots and my max memory potential would be 16GB? I am unsure what "2 of 2" means. Does this mean each pair of bank /slots can be 4GB modules (matched set)?. Any clarifications would be hepful. Thank you, Dennis

Cathay Pacific DC-3 "Betsy"?
Anyone know if this semi-official add-on for the MAAM-SIM FS9 package is still alive? Also, does anyone know if the Dave Bitzer and Mark Beaumont MAAM/Default FS9 DC-3 mods work in FSX?

How would you redesign the world's finest aircraft?
I have a couple of requests for the new fsx R4D/C-47. Hopefully the navy/marine corps receive more attention in the paint scheme area. Average line duty type paint schemes worn by R4D's (including sea blue over gull gray colors). Also there should be a difference between the type of flight gear worn by the army air corps and navy/marine corps aircrew. For instance I doubt aircrew wore sheep skin lined leather jackets when flying in the pacific area. Also the head gear (hats) should be represetative of what was actually worn by pilots (army air corps and navy/marine corps). For instance, the army air corp wore a "crush" type barracks hat, while navy/marine corps aircrew wore the soft garrison cover (hat). Its also true aircrew of all services were more or less likely to wear no hat while flying. These may seem like small details but I asume accurate representation of the crews (civilain and military) that flew this great aicraft is important. I own aircraft made by carenado, eaglesoft and dreamfleet aircraft. Your R4D/C47 is the best of the bunch. Have a good day! Dennis

Dual Hard Drives But Different RPM's?
Is it possibble to run two HD with different rpm's (10.000 & 7,200)? If not, could I install a 7,200 rpm HD in a computer that originally had a 10,000 rpm HD installed? Appreciate your replies.

FS9 UT EUROPE ERROR CODES 21FC & 11FD
I recently made two attempts to install UTE in fs9 but kept getting a different invalid data error code (21FC & 11FD) each time. The first time I used my original download version (error code 11FD). The second attempt (error code 21FC) was a fresh download from Flight1's website. Here's what I did to solve my problem. A second fresh install of fs9 (with fs9.1 patch) . I had no problems installing it using my original 6 months old download version. The problem had nothing to do with bad memory or having over 4g of memory. I believe it had to do with other scenery which I had previously installed in that area of the world. Maybe, UTE needs to find and rename certain bgls file to install properly and when it can't it automatically shuts down and produces an error code. Anyway it runs as advertised.

Paint kits
I understand you are working on new projects and dealing with life in general. No rush, just a casual question. Have a good day!

Paint kits
Any possibility of releasing 24-bit templates (same type as DC-3) for the "all theaters" and "D-Day" expansion packs? I noticed the folowing statement listed under MAAM-SIM DC-3 REPAINT TEMPLATES, "Please note that further templates will be issued to complement any future versions of the MAAM-SIM model. The intention is that those templates can be added to this base 'paint-kit' folder, the methodology and basic instructions being similar for all paints. Where changes to the model invoke changes in texture mapping or other differences, this will be noted with each new package provided". Hopefully this also applies to the C-47 side of the house. Thank you for your time, Dennis

Problems Upgrading Hard drive Storage Capacity?
dprosser replied to dprosser's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcI have all my data backed up on discs (CD-ROM or DVD). In the past, I've changed hard drives (same storage capacity) and never had problems reinstalling data.

Problems Upgrading Hard drive Storage Capacity?
dprosser replied to dprosser's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcI will be replacing the single internal hard drive (SATA). My focus is strictly on hard drive replacement and capacity recognition. I understand about the flightsim related problems. Thank you.

Problems Upgrading Hard drive Storage Capacity?
I would like to upgrade my hard drive from 160GB to 320GB or higher. Would there be any problems with the computer (Windows Xp) recognizing the new hard drives 320GB capacity? Appreciate any replies.

Quest Kodiak Default Sound
I agree with the reviewer about the sound file. I believe turbine sound studios created a sound file for the kingair which sports twin P&W PT6 turboprop engines. This would be a better option if it could be converted to a single engine sound file.

Carenado FS9 Piper Arrow
These contact points solved the take-off issue but, landings still produce the bouncing nose condition (on my end).

Carenado FS9 Piper Arrow
Lets give Carenado some slack. They e-mailed me a new aircraft.cfg to try. It did not fix the problem but, I does show they are working this issue. I have 95% of their aircraft and have no problems with any of them. By the way, they are updating their V-tailed bonanza to current graphic standards.

Carenado FS9 Piper Arrow
I have the same problem. On take-off at about 40 to 50 knots the aircraft starts to porpoise (bounce). By 60 knots the bounce is quite pronounced. Take-off was performed in accordance with their published procedures. I notified Carenado about this condition. I would encourage those that are experiencing this condition to send Carenado an e-mail to show a trend exisits. I am confident they will correct this condition.
