baron 58 repaints?
What Baron are you using? If you have the DF Baron I have a rather cool one of a R/W Baron I used to fly in. I can send it to you.

Hook me up!
You could try PAKT to PAJN, Its around an hour in the 200. You should be able to find some scenery for it as well. Ketchikan AK to Juneau AK.Have Fun!DB

Once AGAIN! Carenado CRAP!
I'm curious, does this thing take around 110 kts to get off the ground when you have the trim set? Or is that still a FS9 "bug"? I haven't bought the last 2 overpriced offering from them. Vote with your pocketbook.Baker

add-on consultation
I'm not a computer "GURU" but your spec's don't look bad. Your CPU is better than mine, but I have more RAM and my video card is an 8600GTS. TF runs OK on my system. You may want to beef those up a little. I will tell you this, I may fly other places, but I always go back to TF, Glacier Bay, and Misty Fiords. I don't think the Beaver would give you problems.Good Luck!Dale Baker

Carenado FS9 Seneca, disaster. Again!
You know, Carenado is starting to remind me of the old PSS bunch. They started doing things like not addressing bugs just releasing new stuff towards the end. It's starting to look like they are trying to milk us FS9 folks for all the money they can.Question, can ANYONE get the Arrow when it is correctly trimmed for take-off, actually get it to rotate and climb at 75kts indicated?Dale

Carenado FS9 Seneca, disaster. Again!
:( It appears that they only care for our $$$ as FS9 users. They lost me at the Arrow. BYW, someone let me know when they pull out the "it's a FS9 bug" excuse on this one. I'd say buyer beware with them from now on. BYW, the Arrow STILL takes almost as much speed at a Citation or King Air to get off the ground.... I don't remember the one I flew requiring that....Dale Baker

Just Flight FC Beech Duchess...
Hi Les,I have been in contact with JF regarding the lighting issues you describe. They have indicated there is a patch coming for the FS9 Duchess (very shortly). However, I do not know what all issues it will be addressing. By all means, please post your issues with Just Flight. That's how things can be fixed. BTW, I tried that with Carenado, with the glaring trim issue with the Arrow, their answer was to say it is a FS bug.... then no further comment. So I will not be spending my disposable income with them (Carenado) further. I will vote with my pocket book and be very happy to let others know about shoddy customer service.Which right now JF does not fall into that group. For those of you who do not have the Duchess yet, wait to see what is addressed in the patch. To me the $21.00 price was a lot better value than the money spent on the Arrow. Also, you can fly in daylight hours and have a very enjoyable time. I also switched out the NAV/COMM 1 for the RXP GNS 430. Which makes for very enjoyable x-country flying. Best of luck,Dale

Flying Club Duchess
Hello All,In case you haven't seen it, the new Duchess for Flying Club is available for download and purchase. So far it looks pretty well done. I'm having a few night lighting issues with it but, I imagine JF will support it as they have done in the past. If you are a light twin fan, I'd say you ought to look at it. It includes both the 2D and 3D panels, and is better priced than the last FS9 small plane released for FS9 ( which by the way STILL has trim issues).Have fun all,D Baker

ATTN: All Caranado Arrow IV owners...
One other thing to note, I strongly believe the model has trim issues. If you try to take-off with neutral or slightly up trim (as it should be) you will not get off the ground till about 110kts indicated. I've flown the real thing many years ago and she came off at 70kts. Not very realistic in my mind. I contacted Carenado and recieved the answer that it is a limitation of FS9. So I ask, why doesent this affect Dreamfleet or others? I think they rushed the thing out. Now they have released more aircraft after it and do not appear to be addressing a real stand=out glitch. I can forgive the bug if it is patch. If it is ignored, I will not support them with purchases futher. The plane is too expensive for these types of basic errors. For reference:I fly,DF BonanzaDF BaronDF Archer IIIDF DakotaCarenado 206 W/ Expansion PakCarenado 182RGCarenado BonanzaAreosoft BeaverPiper Super CubAeroworx B200ES CitationsI would not give this a very favorable rating with such a basic bug.On a positive note, the VC is very well done. I fly most of the planes now in VC if at all possible. I use Trac IR and a good VC is outstanding to use.Just my opinion,Dale Baker

Carenado Arrow
Hello All,I have been reading and experienced the issue with Carenado's new Piper Arrow regarding the take-off speed(around 90 to 95kts indicated to get off the ground). I did some touch & go's tonight and found the following, if you trim forward of the neutral line about one third of the way to full down trim, it will fly off at 70 to 75 kts indicated. I reported earlier that I thought the trim was backward. I think this pretty much proves it. I also tried the contact points fix posted here on the forum and it seems to work pretty well. The only other issue I see is the panel at night seems too dark unless the dome light is on. I hope to see a patch soon from Carenado addressing these issues. Happy flying,Dale

Carenado FS9 Piper Arrow
Hi Red,I have my PPL, High Performance/Complex endorsement, time in a straight tail Arrow, time in DC-3...... yes I know how a trim tab works :( I was refering to the fact that the Carenado aircraft has the problem where the trim wheel goes the wrong direction when I trim the plane. I emailed them about it and so far they've sent me back an email to say it's a bug in FS9. Nothing about fixing it. When Dreamfleet released either the Archer III or the Dakota they had the same problem. I seem to remember they had a patch out for that in the first few days it was released.Dale

Carenado FS9 Piper Arrow
Anyone else got the FS9 Piper Arrow from Carenado? I tried a short flight in it tonight, not bad. I noticed the trim wheel seems to work backwards as it should. Can someone else confirm. Thanks,Dale

Going crazy
Hi Henry,When you start FS9, on the first screen where you set up your flight, down at the bottom is a button marked settings. Click on that, on that page click the Realism button. On that page, check to see if the "Use Auto-Rudder" option is checked. If not, check it and see if that fixes your problem. And that's the sum total of what I got....Good Luck,DB

Reality XP 530 GPS
Hi Jerry,I hate to tell you this, out of the box, the RXP 530 will not work with the Aeroworx KingAir. I am using the RXP 430 but had to go into the panel config and make some changes. It took quite a bit of trial and error to get it to work, then only in the analog panel. I suggest you try the forum over at RXP as well as search the user made files over there to see if you can get a panel config that someone else has made for the plane. Good luck with your search.Dale Baker
