  1. Since you were successful using another router, the culprit would most likely be your existing router as far as what may be blocking the required port. For future reference, if you need to determine if a specific port is being blocked, I suggest you use a free service like canuseeme.org. You would just enter the port(s) that you want to check and it verifies, whether or not, it is reachable from the Internet.
  2. 802.11n can operate in both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radio bands. The advantage of going with the 5 GHz band is that it (at least at the moment) is far less crowded than the 2.4 GHz one. Also 802.11g maxes out at 54 Mbps. 802.11n can reach bandwidths of 300+ Mbps. The latest re-incarnation of wireless routers allow for providing wireless networks on both bands simultaneously. The advantage of this is that you can "dedicate" the slower 2.4 GHz band for day-to-day stuff, like web browsing, and then, use the higher speed 5 GHz band for streaming HD video.I currently use an Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station, but Cisco/Linksys and a number of other vendors provide similar simultaneous dual-band models as well.
  3. Hello badaboom.Either your Internet router or Windows firewall may be blocking the communications required with PMDG. I suggest asking PMDG which ports are required for this activity and then we can troubleshoot where to look for the problem. What is the model of the combination modem/router that you have?
  4. Since you have two physical disks, I just want to be sure how you created your C & D volumes. In Win7 volumes can be either be Basic or Dynamic types. In addition, Dynamic-type volumes can be either have Simple or Spanned layouts; whereas all Basic-type volumes can only be Simple.Typically, you want to use Dynamic-type volumes to create spanned disks to create a virtual bigger disk.In your case, there really shouldn't be any issues with installing FSX on the D volume. However, there are a few things to keep in mind: 1) If you ever want to change the Dynamic disk back to a Basic disk, you will lose all of the data on the disk unless you back it up first. 2) If you later add additional physical hard drives, you can extend still extend the D volume (if that is your requirement) without having to reformat it. Note that when you extend the volume over multiple disks it becomes a Spanned volume.
  5. Unfortunately no. I am, of course, assuming that you are planning on creating a dual-boot scenario to be able to boot into either Vista of Win7 ... correct? If so, when you boot into Win7 although it will "see" the other drives, it will not have access to the Vista Registry that recorded your FSX entries in order for it to run properly.
  6. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate (x64). I have both FSX (w/Acceleration) and Fear 2 running on it with no problems. Additional games that I have working as well are: Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising, X3 Terran Conflict and Crysis.

    Drivers ?

There are a number of sites offering the ability to check for both software & hardware compatibility with Windows 7. Microsoft, for example, provides the following one: Windows Compatibility Center
