  1. As I understand it, that flag is only for when the FSX window is losing focus - like when using alt+tab or when an external program gets focused. The internal windows/dialogs in FSX does not affect the focus of the FSX window. One example is the "End flight" dialog that opens when you press ESC. The expected behaviour is that the flight is paused while this window is open, and so it seems to be, but when closing the window the fuel value drops by hundreds of kilograms while the aircraft is at the same spot as it was left. Try it, and I think you will see what I mean. Even
  2. I'm talking about the popup dialogs that causes the simualtor to pause. For example the flight planner or the settings dialog. Even
  3. I recently noticed that the NGX keeps burning fuel while I navigate the menus in FSX. For example if I open the FSX map or the FSUIPC menu for a couple of minutes, the fuel amount drops significantly when I return to the flight. This screenshot shows the intial fuel values: I then open the FSUIPC menu for two minutes, and when I close it and get back to the cockpit, the fuel value has changed: This does only happen when I use the menu dialogs in FSX. When pausing/unpausing the sim, the fuel value doesn't change (as expected). I have done the same test with the default 737, and this behaves normally. The reason I discovered this issue was the large amount of pireps in Virtual Norwegian that reported "fuel changed"-events right after "simulator un-paused"-events (which occurs when the pilot un-pauses or closes a dialog that causes FSX to pause). All these flights were done using the NGX. I'm quite sure this is not a problem only on my setup, and I hope this is something you can fix for the next update. Best regards, Even
  4. OK, I guess your'e right then... Perhaps we misunderstood each other.. Well, this is what he wrote about the image below: "I can see the APP mode is not engaged, but you still have capture on GP/LOC"I told him that on the NGX the APP button extinguishes when the aircraft gets established, and I asked him if this is how it works in real life too, but he said "no".
  5. Hi!I just uploaded some screenshots of the beatiful NGX on facebook, and a senior 737NG captain in Scandinavian Airlies (one of my fb friends) commented on my photos and said that in real world, the APP-button on the NG MCP does not turn black when the aircraft gets established, like it does on the NGX. So from what I understand, this must be a bug from PMDGs side. It's not a big deal and has no impact on the flying experience at all, but since it's a PMDG addon, it wouldn't hurt if this very little, but visible detail was correctly simulated. Shouldn't be too hard to fix either I guess...Just a little nitpicking from me...And, I will also take the opportunity to wish all forum members and the PMDG team a very merry Christmas!Best regardsEven
  6. I think I have the same problem as you Rockliffe. Once I'm established on the ILS flying 200 knots at 4000, the plane starts descending and I set the MCP speed to for example 140. I put out some flaps, just enough so the nose is slightly above the horizon. She reduces to 29.1% thrust and slows down normally. But at the moment I hit "G" to extend the landing gear, she throttles up to 38.8%, and the speed starts increasing! In panic I set full speedbrakes, but she still won't reduce the speed. Speed is still set to 140 on the MCP but now shes increasing to over 200! Then I try to disconnect the autothrottle to bring the throttle down manually, I watch the throttle in the VC and put my joystick throttle to idle, it works but 1 second later, the throttle goes back to 38.8%. Same thing happens if I press F1 on the keyboard. The only way to get the throttle to fully idle is to disconnect A/T and hold F1 down during the entire approach, but that's too cumbersome. Something must be really wrong...
  7. Thanks, I understand I'm not the only customer with this problem....
  8. Hi :)I have just bought, innstalled and updated AirSimmer's A320 basic - both v1.1 and v1.2 innstalled. Nice model and animations. But I have some got som bad issues. When I open the MCDU 2D panel, and press the flightplan button, the FS window turns black and crash. If I use the MCDU in the virtual cockpit, it works fine. So I tried a testflight from VC and everything was looking good - until I become airborne and pressed the 'gear up' button on my joystick - CTDAnother issue, is that the numbers on the MCP doesn't change when I twist the buttons. Only in VC.Anyone got the same probems and know how to fix them? :S
  9. Hi!Tried to set the autobrake selector back to OFF?
  10. Hi! :( I'm flying a lot with FS9, but I have some problems...First of all, theres something that happends after while of flying. The menu-line that is located at the top of the picture (window mode) disappears and a black line at the buttom of the picture appears. It's about the same thickness of the menu-line that disappears. After this I can not left-click at the picture to change view, I can't get the menu-line back (yes, I have tried to press [alt]) so I can't either change aircraft or anything at all! It's also impossible to close FS. If I try to just close the window or press [esc] nothing happens. I had this problem before too, but I don't know how I fixed it. But after I did a format on my computer and installed FS, the problem was back.Another problem is that the sound that is played beside the FS-sound (windows media player, notification sounds, etc.. Actually everything) starts crackle when I'm running FS. Quite annoying that I can't hear music or internet-radio without the clackling when I'm flying. But the problem isn't all the time. When I'm opening the Media Player-window while FS is running, it takes 2-3 seconds and the sound from mediaplayer gets normal. When I'm opening the FS window again (with Media Player still running), the crackling starts again. Btw, I'm running VistaPlease help me... =)
