  1. Did a LFPG-EDDF flight from FedEx yesterday and checked what I actually do during touchdown. Thrustlevers (on CH yoke) to idle during G/S approach Thrust reverse F2 as soon as maingear touches the asphalt. Disengage AP with Z I keep the autobrake on until I'm <50kts (taxispeed appears @ 60kts in left MFD). I retract the spoilers, and when speed reaches 45kts I use a little throttle to keep that speed At that moment the brakes switch off (ABS disarm light comes on) and I taxi off the rwy. When vacating the rwy I raise the flaps/slats and disarm the autobrake. During vacating I start the PWR APU and AIR APU and switch off the LDNG lights. Nose light to TAXI; RWY Turnoff light ON (when not flying during daytime) Contact Ground etc...
  2. No errors during install?C++ 2008 did install?Do you have the PMDG add-on in the menu (top screen)? Can you select any panel state?
  3. Shouldn't there be a C++ for 2008 (x86) aswell? I'm running the MD-11 on Vista x64 Ultimate myself, and during install it want's to install both x86 and x64 versions of C++
  4. Where can I find that file? On the forum or somewhere else??
  5. You mean AUTOBRAKE=1 ? (I think that was it)
  6. Who (or what) descides what flap setting to use anyway? I mean...the combination of flaps with FLEX descides the TO thrust. So.... I can choose whatever setting from the tables just as long as I use the settings form the correct weight...right?The question then is...why should I choose for flaps 28 instead of flaps 22?
  7. It always is. I always take the levers on my yoke to idle even before the actual landing...mostly during the APP.
  8. I had a similar issue by switchin goff the AB during the slow down. After that the BRAKE stayed on and couldn't be stopped. Now I just keep the AB on untill it switches offf by itself. That seems to work fine.Give it a try OK?
  9. I've had something similar...in the final stages on DES I set the IAS manually and activate by pulling the knob. But for some unknown reason the speed stays 'fixed' to an earlier speed I had set.So...I had set the speed at..let's say 180kts...sometime later I set the speed to 160kts, pull the knob, but nothing happens. Thouchdown also doesn't disengage the AT.Only manually disengaging the AP seems to help.Running MD-11 FS9 version with latest patch.
  10. Yes, it will work. Have a TrackIR Pro myself...no issues in combination with RC4
  11. You DID put all your aircraft config settings right concerning ZFWCG, ZFW, TOCG and did set the stabalizer correct? I had a similar issue in the beginning that my MD-11 frequently stalled..until I found out I had the wrong CG entered in the FMC :)Eric
  12. All true Rob...however I just tried to get my procedures as 'real' as possible :) That's why I wanted to know the order in which the P/FO sets the light switches.But...your answer of the FL100 eg parked is something I can live with haha :)BTW...did you find the EVAC SW on the image I posted? I still can't find it :( Regards,Eric
  13. OK....so with the "Exterior Lights.....OFF" it is meant as is...all exterior lights off (and not that some lights (like the LDG lights) are extended, but still off). Then my next question..when does the P/FO pull the exterior LDG light from the RET postion to the Extended/Off position? Is that during taxi? I'm sure it isn't in the checklist.
  14. Thx guys.I did scoop all the PDF's to try and find it, but I must have overlooked the pages where it was described. Odd though that the EMERG SW is only seen/available from the vc view.** To be sure...EMERG SW is something completly different from the EMERG Lights. 'cause that one I can find, but after looking for the EMERG SW several times during cold & dark I couldn't find it.Even here I don't see it anywhere on the left side.Overboost is something I did find discussed in this forum, but am unsure wether or not it is modelled. Appearantly..is is :) Will check it later this evening.Exterior lights...I'm still not 100% certain what the MD-11 checklist means with "OFF". One can say that the two swithces for the main takeoff/landing lights are set in the middle position ('cause the text on the overhead next to that position actually reads "ext off").
  15. Can anyone please tell me where to find the following options/switches on the MD-11 (FS9 version) to get true an actual cold & dark checklist?1. Overboost stop. Should be on the throttle pedestal. Is this not modelled?2. Takeoff Warning test. Can't seem to find it.3. Exterior lights. Is that the switch for the mail lights on the lower part over the overhead panel where you can aslo switch them to "exterior full"? (next to the noselight)4. Evacuation switch. Can't find it anywhere.5. AFS OVRD OFF switch. Can't find it.Another one I'm not sure off if it works or not: the bank angle selector. It seems like it doesn't react when I click there with my mouse.Furthermore I'd like to say that the sounds have been done great by PMDG. Everytime I start the engines (and use my normal audio amplifier with subwoofer) I get the feeling that I'm actually in the plane! Great job!Grt,Eric
