  1. Have been using Global Ai Ships in P3D4.5 HF3 by xml method for some time now .... all working as it should. Installed into P3D5 HF2 .... ships all showing, and appearing to be moving, but without any wake effects with the large ships. Small vessels seem OK.. I deleted the installation, and precisely "copied" the P3D4.5 installation into P3D5 add-ons...... no change, The accompanying PDF suggests this can be caused by some older FSX textures missing, that are used. Any help identifying tracking these down would be greatly appreciated. This is a great package and I am very keen to get it working as it did in P3D4. Cheers

  3. Sure, the clickspots certainly cut the fuel and stop the engines running, BUT, the props continue spinning slowly forever, This is in P3D4.3 ....... may be different in earlier versions. It would appear to be a bug.... I presume Carenado is aware of the problem.
  4. The engines can be stopped by these methods, but the propellers just keep turning over forever. How do you get them to run down to a stop?
  5. Thanks again Bill .... that did the trick. All good now. Cheers
  6. Thanks for your responses. Do I install all three, or just one of these mis libs?
  7. Sorry for this ultra basic question. Trying to get SODE to work with my P3D4. The installation goes pretty well up to a point where the Platform Manager is running, then locks up, declaring that SimConnect is not installed, and suggests that I install what looks like an earlier FSX version of SimConnect. Is this right ..... I thought P3D4 came with SimConnect, and that everything would fall into place. Any help appreciated ..... have I somehow got a 32 bit version ???? Cheers.
  8. I hear what is being said here.... namely that Rex textures with AS weather engine seems to be the best and most realistic way to go. I have just invested in a new pretty capable computer, and a host of new software to go with P3D4, and am approaching my spend limit. I would rather only have to purchase one weather package at this stage..... and in view of the fact that Rex's SF3D weather engine seems to get a poorish wrap, and ASC4's appears superior, I'm leaning towards the latter. Even if I have to augment it with the ASC Art package, the combined package would still be the same order of expense as Rex's SF3D, and I would have a weather ENGINE that works well, which is important to me. Does this sound sensible, or would it leave me with 2nd rate visuals ???.... Cheers, and thanks in advance for any responses....Tom.
