I've flown in a full motion 737-800 simulator a couple of months ago. The instructor told me every time he had a NGX-er in the seat, he was surprised of the amount of knowledge and skills of us simmers. Personally I landed the plane the first time, but not perfectly. You have to remember that in such an occasion that you have to take over the controls because the pilots are in some way incapable, your heart rate will be probably around 200 BPM and your bloodpressure likewise. Furthermore, you are likely to suffer from some kind of tunnelvision and forgot most of your experience you had on the NGX. Most of that because your life is on the line, as well as a couple of hundred others's lifes. However, if you have some help from "below", you have a better chance than someone with no experience at all, I think. Hi Matthew,As I live in Holland, i've installed the (here) famous NL2000 v4. Really good, although not a large area covered, as Holland is not very big, you know. Very detailed, but you need a fast internet connection, as the filesare large. Good thing about v4 is that it's modulair, so you can switch area's on and off. Hi Ernst,I have the same problem, PMDG 747 will not load in FS9, if you try to load it, the plane's screen stays, untill you click cancel. All other planes load just fine. I tried to "repair" it by installing the 747 via the 1.20 installfile, but to no result so far. Maybe one of the companies like CH or Thrustmaster (or someone inventive) might be interested in filling the gap between the "standard" yoke with throttle etc and the ultra-expensive motorized throttles mentioned before? Sort of yoke/throttle like CH's but motorized? Just an idea.... Instead of 3000 bucks approx. like 300-500?

Hello falcon999, I tried it, but to no effect. What I did see was that the FMC_Ident file was of the new 0609 batch, and the rest of the 0813. Corrected that with a backup file, but still nothing. I even replaced every airac file with the original ones, without the VHHX changes that were needed for 9dragons, but still nothing... Maybe the problem isn't in the airac datafiles?Sjoerd

Hi,I have a problem with MD11 in FS9: When I enter the departure/destination in the init page in the CDU, FS9 just freezes, and I have to restart the whole program (ctrl-alt-del). Also the IRS takes a long time to line up, even though I set it to line up instantly. And sometimes i get just black screens when i try to open the PMDG submenu in FS9. I tried to re-install MD11, but to no succes, alas. The other PMDG planes work just fine (B747 and B737).AIRAC-cycle 0813, newest update MD11 and FS9, Dell Dimension 9200, Intel E6600, 4 GB RAM (Dell), PNY 9600 GT OC. NL2000 installed, 9dragons.It did work with all these parameters, but at some point something changed and I couldn't get it to work again. Is it possible it has something to do with the Airac cycle? I tried to update tot cycle 0609 lately, but when I installed it, FS9 refused to work, I got to the opening screen and then back to windows.... After reinstalling cycle 0813 FS9 worked fine again, but not the MD11. Can Anyone give me some advise?Maybe uninstalling everything and then reinstalling?
