  1. Greetings, Ok thanks, that was my suspicion anyway, thanks for clearing that up, guess i'll be brushing up on how to program a hold then in that case :) -Matt Barton
  2. Greetings, Just wondering if anyone could explain the procedures for initiating a fuel dump, if any exist that is. I've perused the FCOM and Flight Deck and have yet to come across anything that seems to remotely indicate a fuel dump functionality. Perhaps i'm mistaken and the real aircraft doesn't have the capability either, which would be quite surprising.. -Matt Barton
  3. Happy Birthday Robert..hey you celebrate and don't worry..we changed our minds..we can wait until 2014 for the NGX :) LOL JK -Matt Barton
  4. Happy Birthday RSR :D -Matt Barton
  5. What the blazes?! Are we in a -24 locked countdown to release? -Matt Barton
  6. Greetings,Speaking of manuals whats the plan with those, will we be able to download just the manuals for example when they're released or will they install with the aircraft like other PMDG products? Was talking in a group on ventrilo earlier today and someone there brought up the idea of asking for the manuals to be released separately ahead of the aircraft so we can all get started studying systems knowledge etc, any shot at that?-Matt BartonP.S. Please don't take my manuals request as anything more than eagerly awaiting the product release, I fully understand the extreme workload PMDG is puting into pushing this product out of the Hangar and into our hands as quickly as possible and have no problem waiting another month if need be to get things right.
  7. Greetings,I remember this being brought up before and talked about being implemented however I also remember that there were a fair number of problems associated with making the aircraft "multicrew capable." So any word on whether or not it worked out and will make it into the final build?-Matt Barton
  8. Greetings,Was perusing the "Walk-around" video and couldn't help but notice that there's a little engraving of sorts right below the Captain's window that states "IN MEMORY CLAYTON T. DOPKE MAJOR USAF RETIRED." After some brief searching I found him, apparently a very dedicated beta tester who passed away recently. Also a former B-52 Aircraft Commander. By chance was the NGX dedicated to his memory?-Matt Barton
  9. Greetings,So with the ammount of realism and all being put into this simulation, what do you guys think the chances if getting the FAA to endorse this as some sort of simulator time would be?-Matt Barton
  10. Greetings,Gah! The timing! I'm leaving for U.S. Army Basic Training in a week...going to be sad to miss this thing when she comes out..-Matt Barton
  11. Greetings,PMDG has stated many times that beta testing has no set time period nor do any of their development methods. When something is ready they will release it, not a second sooner and in the humble opinions of this flying brick that's the way it should be. There are bound to be bugs in any product and I can't imagine anything as complex as what is being simulated here to be devoid of anything less than a small ecosystem of them all clamoring to break everything in sight. Given however how thorough PMDG is about testing their products internally I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see a few bugs on the windshield, the avionics tubes, engines and about everywhere else on the aircraft, in fact that might be a fun addition, no? A few broken flies on the windscreen etcetera that is. What might you guys think of having a little game when the NGX releases about counting the number of splattered bugs all over the external model? Where might these bugs be? Just some random thoughts here.-Matt Barton
  12. Greetings,When we're talking about framerates it's important to remember that they have talked about some really bleeding edge back-end programming presumably has been a major contributor to both the level of detail they can put in as well as the performance of that detail. Another thing to note is that i'm doubting these extremely detailed systems are eating up performance as much as we all think they are. Furthermore i'd imagine that the rarer details of some of these systems aren't always "in the sim" so to speak. In any case these same types of details have been in all of their previous products and we have their performance numbers as reassurance that the new detail can only help us. Finally i'd just like it to be noted that if performance hits by these systems were massive then i'm willing to bet that PMDG would simply remove these features. (99% of the user-base never notices them anyway)-Matt Barton
  13. Greetings,Having flown in and out of Sedona myself I can vouch for those wicked cliffs for a relatively short runway. They are pretty freaky even in the best of weather, can't imagine trying an approach there in any kind of turbulence. I promise you the Hundred Dollar Hamburger is well worth it though ;)-Matt
  14. Greetings,Could be, was there anything about the gear retraction motor running for a few extra seconds for some reason?Cheers,Matt Barton
