    Oh my!  Lovely set indeed!

If it were not for the spotless appearance of the plane in shot 2....and only if you scrutinized the plane and not the background...you could not separate that from a pic of the real plane.  I love how in MSFS, no matter how close you seem to get to the plane...the details stay sharp!

I mean...really?  This is the "default" in this sim?  Looks terrible...I don't know how all these simmers can stand looking at this while flying their screenshot simulators! 😉

    🤩 Stunning shot indeed Steve!

    Very nice looking!  Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......

OK...you're very next task is to put the 747-8 at the end of the runway, firewall the throttle and see if they animated the sand and tourists blowing into the water.🤣  (and an added touch to see a few tourists hanging on the fence flying horizontal like a flag flappin' in a hurricane, LOL)

Insta' buy for me for the 1st dev that can simulate that. 🙂

I'm with Steve on this one.  Insta buy if they can simulate the person being blown, rolling down the sand directly into the waiting sea! 🤣

Re: Warning for Navigraph beta with A320neo Mod ?

Post by Pleasure » Thu Oct 15, 2020 9:06 pm

    Hello,

my name is David "Pleasure" I am one of the Core Devs of the FlyByWire A32NX Project.

During the first weeks of the project, we received various reports of missing nav data (SID’s/STAR’S/Airways).

Due to these reports, we released a statement issuing that ‘custom liveries’ and ‘the Navigraph beta’ might have been leading to these issues.

While we have verified that certain liveries do actually cause issues, we have never confirmed that the Navigraph beta was causing this behaviour.

The statement will be removed and instead will be replaced with a statement which actually promotes the use of NavData from Navigraph as the data is more accurate and has more coverage. It will also be pointed out that the Navigraph NavData for MSFS is still in beta.

Many of us use Navigraph for NavData and we appreciate your service to the flight sim community very much, our intention was never to throw blame but to rather tell our users to remove all third party addons which might be intervening with the mod, which could have included the Navigraph beta, to be able to check if it was actually the mod that caused the bug/issue or some other third party. We do understand that while some data might be missing/not working and it is still a work in progress that when it is completed, will result in a great increase in the overall MSFS experience for us ‘simmers’ who like the maximum amount of realism which is what we are striving for here at FlyByWire

That is why we would love to work together with you at Navigraph and would love to invite you to our Discord or any other form of Communication you would prefer.

    Regards,

    Pleasure (3d Artist/Texture Artist FlyByWire)

    Hi,

To @Pleasure and @Stephan. I am a recent customer of Navigraph. I, of course, also use (exclusively) The FlyByWire A32NX.

I can't express how glad I am to see @Pleasure reach out to you and the response from @Stephen. This IS how a company and a free mod community should behave - trying to help each other to the ultimate benefit of the users.

I am excited and will wait patiently for your cooperation to come to fruition. All the best to both of you and the people you represent. Thank you.

    Sincerely,
    Yousuf

I am pleased that this topic has taken a good turn and that we can now use the A320neo with NAVIGRAPH Navdata without stress. :D

    Greetings

On the contrary. Because of the issue you posted we now can say that we started to form a good relationship with navigraph and hopefully will support eachother and with the help of navigraph include features like maybe displaying the airac cycle and maybe even charts inside the plane on the EFB for navigraph users in the future. Mind you that of course this is a goal that we have but are not sure how feasible it is yet. But we are in talks with navigraph and are making progress on being able to change the default a320 model. So stay tuned ! And thank you Raniel for actually making this even possible.

And also thanks to Richard who we are in contact with now and hopefully will make the sim enjoyable for everyone.

    Hi Bjorn,
since last week, we are intensively in contact with FBW - the data are working but in the past, specially as we started our beta, there were a lot of bugs, unknown situations in it, what crashed the sim and/or some mods or where the results were not so good as we expected (because we can also not test all scenarios). Most of these beginner issues were data-issues which we had fixed during the AIRAC cycle 2010, I guess after 12-13 data revisions. Now, the data are stable and of course usefully to fly with the FBW. I have also tested it and this mod, this freeware group, is a really step forward.

We have discovered a few ideas between FBW and us. The FBW guys are very taff and for a freeware team, they do a great job - we (as Navigraph) will support these guys where we can, to improve the default A320neo functionality. Now, we are on a good way to make all these successful - for FBW and for us ;-)

Have you tried image sharpening in NVCP? I pulled the render scaling back to 100 and set image sharpening to 0.8 or something in nvcp and that helped with image quality, frames and AA on my panel. Of course ymmv.

^^^^^ This right here.  Works wonders!

I tried to load (.pln) an outsourced flight plan (from PFPX or Simbrief or etc.) to A320N (or A320NX)  FMS but I could not manage to do this while in the sim(aircraft).

Can anyone advice ? Thanks in advance.

Here is a pretty good tutorial.

Also make sure you are not using the “highonnow” glass cockpit mod (can’t remember the exact name), as it interferes with loading flight plans.

  6. Been meaning to upload these for a bit.  Shots from each of the Bush Trips, which by the way are very enjoyable if you have not done them yet.  Wish there were more or at least a mission creator to make our own and share them with the community.  The last pic being from a random TBM trip out of Monterey.

  7. I forget how I found this area within the sim (ICAO:  SCLD) but did a quick flight this morning to try out NVIDIA's capture function.  Ended up having a sort of a visceral experience, especially when you decide to land somewhere random, shut down the engine and just listen to the surroundings.  Oh and the shots were not half bad either. Shots 5 and 6 are my favorite.

Good info.  Thanks for the share.  A few questions please as I am not close to my machine to try it out:

    1.  Where are the files stored?

    2.  Does it create a new image each time the key binding is used?

    3.  What file type is stored, jpg or png?

    Cheers

So it actually creates a sub-folder called screenshots in the Pictures folder for Windows.

it does create a new image each time the key combo is used.

Unfortunately not near my computer to verify what file type was used.
