  1. For some reason, Cyberpower is selling 2600k sandy bridges today instead of starting tommorrow, so I bought my system and was able to get the gtx 460, 8gb of 1600 ddr3 ram, and a 700 watt powersupply, which is more than I wanted for now. I'll post the specs in my signature.
  2. I just bought this computer but with an nvidia 460. I recommend it as the price is good. If you do buy it, search online for coupon codes. I got a discount for 60 dollars.
  3. Okay, thanks I'll take this into consideration on Jan 9. As of now, I don't completely know if I'm going to buy the computer on jan 9 because if the new p67 mobos and i7'sare too expensive compared to current x58's and i7's, then I might save up more money and wait for the nvidia 560 in the meantime.
  4. I have been looking at the 460 and I may be able to afford it if and only if sandy bridge 2600 or 2600k cost about the same as a current i7 950. Anyway if I do end up with the 430, it will be much better than the mobility radeon 3650 I currently have. How much longer for the 560? I am dying waiting until Jan 9 for sandy bridge as I have been Planning to get this new pc since around July. Although with fsx nothing is certain, I am very optimistic that sandy bridge will outperform current i7 equivalents in fsx. I'll be sure to post my fsx results once my new pc is delivered.
  5. On January 9, I am planning to buy a pc with the following specifications:Intel core i7 2600 or 2600k (depends on price)4gb DDR3 1600 dual channel ramNvidia 430 gt 1gb(not powerful, I know, but I've heard fsx is mainly processor hungry)Not decided on mother boardBudget is 1000-1150Please tell me what I can expect in fsx and any recommendations you might have.
  6. I don't know since I use it in one monitor. It only works with directx9 so you have to disable that for it to work, but it greatly helps my problem. I still have the frame stutters at some airports like the default o'hare but I just lower the frames further with the limiter and it greatly helps.
  7. You probably did something wrong. My autopilot works. For example, the actual heading switches (alt, head, speed, nav, etc.) work and fly the plane correctly. The only thing that doesn't work is the the knobs to change the numbers in the mcp alt, heading, and speed windows, but these can be changed by clicking directly over the numbers, so you probably did something wrong.
  8. Sure. This is what I did. (You have to have boeing777-300.gau(this is from fs9. I can send it to you if you don't have it) and you have to go online and search for msvcr70.dll and download it)1. Go to freeskyproject.com (previously projectopensky.com) and download the 777 aircraft with livery that you want.2. Also download the 32 bitmap textures and the xml gauges for the virtual cockpit.3. Install the main plane file in fsx\simobjects. (You might want to alias the the sound to the 737-800).4. Put the boeing777-300.gau in fsx root\gauge.5. Go to the plane where you installed it in fsx and copy and paste the textures contained in the "32 bit map textures" file you got from freeskyproject in main aircraft folder\texture (when I say texture i mean a texture file that is in the main aircraft folder as this can be named to other things, depending on the airline livery like texture.aa). Overwrite everything when asked.6. Now go back to the 32 bitmap textures folder and copy and paste these two files "$vc_01" and "$vc_02" into rootairplanefolder\panel.7. Install the xml gauges (just follow the readme instructions this comes with) (remember to move the new panel.cfg that this folder brings into rootairplanefolder\panel.8. Go to rootairplanefolder\model. Look at .mdl file. If it doesn't have something like os772_trent800_VC in its name, then go to freeskyproject agai, click on the 777v2, click on model packages, and find the model that your current plane has but with "VC" included in its name. For example, if you have os772_trent800.mdl, look for and download one that says os772_trent800_VC.mdl. Download it and install the new .mdl file in rootairplanefolder\model. Overwrite everything windows says. Then, inside rootariplanefolder\model, edit the model.cfg so it has the name of the new .mdl file.9. Install an add on sound (optional).Hope this helps. If you have any questions, just ask because I might have missed a step, but these are the steps I followed and I installed a 777-200 and then a 777-300 and it worked both times, so it should work if you follow it correctly.
  9. I had a similar problem. Have you tried using an fps limiter like this one:http://www.4shared.com/file/Txs31sTN/FPS_Limiter_02.html
  10. Okay, I just figured out how to get everything working correctly.
  11. Okay I downloaded and installed os777v2_VC_32-bit_BMP_ Textures_FS9 (I'm using FSX but this is the only textures I could find on the site). This is still what I see:Now I need to try that .dll .gau suggestion, but can you explain what you mean by this?
  12. Okay, thanks I will try that. Are all those add ons you mentioned freeware?
  13. I have installed posky 777 v2 along with the XML virtual cockpit gauges and I can see all the gauges but not the buttons. For example the autopilot buttons show black empty holes. Please help, thanks.
  14. I chuckled while reading this.Anyways, thanks all for your help. Unfortunately, I do not have a registered fsuipc. If any of you know of one, please tell me what it is because, for example, I use the replay method suggested by veeray but I would like a way of actually seeing my fpm. That way I can try to beat my previous landings in terms of smoothness each time I fly.
  15. But do you guys know of a more specific tool which tells you for example -11fpm? I have done the replay thing but I want something more specific.
  16. Does anyone know about a tool which shows you your fpm upon touchdown?
  17. Wow, I hadn't realized we had gotten more slivers. All I can say is that I became speechless upon looking at the pictures and reading Robert's descriptions of what the ngx will have. Keep up the excellent work PMDG. This plane will be unlike any other add on that is out there.
  18. All is I can say is amazing. I honestly couldn't tell which was the real one for like 5 minutes until someone pointed out the light reflection on the bottom plastic of the top picture.
  19. Okay thanks. I hope they do pick up this project again in the future as the a320 series and the 737 are two of my favorite aircraft.
  20. I am anxiously awaiting the NGX, and I have recently remembered PMDG once said they were going to do an A320. Is this project still active, or is it canceled?Edit: wow, sorry, I just realized I should have posted this in the general forum. Still, please answer in this same topic as don't want to start the same topic in the general forum.
  21. Thanks for this Robert, update despite the time it is.
  22. News are out!!!! http://forum.avsim.net/topic/293729-some-dirt-on-the-pmdg-737-ngx/
  23. I have never seen a forums with so much replies in such a sort amount of time. It is funny how every time you go to Robert's profile the "last visitors" list is different.
  24. His profile says he's offline. Does the forums also do this after a period of inactivity or is this, as I expect, simply mean he is offline? Scratch that, they are online. I should really be getting to sleep, but whenever I see Robert's name, the excitement overcomes my tiredness.
