  1. Hey, I have an idea on this - my 777 would takes AGES to load until I 'woke up' my USB external hard drive by opening a file explorer and browsing to something on it. For some reason whenever I load a pmdg aircraft I often hear it spinning up, as though it's looking for something on there (even though there are no FSX or PMDG files on it). So is it possible that you have an external drive that might be 'sleeping' when trying to load the aircraft? Signal_runner
  2. Is there a service pack in the pipeline?
  3. Not sure it's a bug myself. I think if you have environmental bleeds on and target cabin alt set appropriately for your intended cruise level it will behave correctly. That said, I did have to use the dump switch once to get the differential pressure back to within limits, but that may have been pilot error. Luckily they don't simulate the resulting structural failure
  4. yep - always stuck on for me. First flight I did it wasn't though so not sure exactly what causes it. dam it's great to finally have a good quality B1900D though. This product has got heaps of potential if they add function to some of the dummy switches and circuit breakers.
  5. Yeah thanks PMDG. My experience with this incredible next-level add-on has been flawless. Loved the introduction document!
  6. Hi there, I've noticed that when hand flying a departure with LNAV and VNAV armed and the autopilot disengaged, that at flap acceleration hieght, the aircraft trims the elevators a little. Does anyone know what section of what manual I can read to find out more about what is going on here logic wise? Thanks,
  7. heh heh awesome. Just out of interest (cause I've got SBF turned on as well, but haven't struck a failure yet) did you clear the failure via the CDU menu, get the system serviced, or service the whole aircraft, or some combination of those? I guess what I'm asking is: to keep things as realisitic as possible, what would the airline do in that situation? Or does it depend on the airline?
  8. Thanks very much for all that Robert - indeed the main tanks were completely empty at the time, so no cooling. I can't believe you guys modelled that.
  9. Hi Michael,I use the X-52 flight control system and pedals. I have read elsewhere that the best settings for FSX are to have the sensitivity on full, and "as small a null zone as you can whilst not incurring unwanted 'spikes' or 'off centre inputs'". Thus, oweing to the X-52's high quality and accuracy, my null zones are only slight - pedals a bit more. The PMDG guys might suggest something different specifically for the 737NGX, but it works well for me.
  10. Very sorry Captain Randazzo - I've updated my profile display name. Many thanks for your pending reply,Tim Hollobon
  11. Hi,Most amazing aircraft ever - totally mind blowing. Anyway I have a question (I've read quite a bit of the provided documentation and can't find the answer to this - so be gentle): I had service based failures on, and, in the before start procedure got a EMDP A/B OVERHEAT failure - both OVERHEAT and LOW PRESSURE lights above both the A and B EMPD switches came one and stayed on. woo hoo! Just like the real thing! Well, I elected to get the engineers to look into it rather than continue the flight (I cleared the failure via the CDU menu option under Hydraulic failures).Trouble is, even though the CDU said the failures were cleared, the warning OVERHEAT and LOW PRESSURE lights just wouldn't extinguish - with engines running and switches cycled etc. They stayed on for the rest of the flight. Hydraulic quantity % and pressure (3000) were normal according to the lower DU. Is this a bug, or is there something I missed? Thanks,signal_runner
  12. Bump - Agreed! I would like to weigh in and say "thank you PMDG". This is simply the the most amazing package ever. I've never before found FSX to be so fun, exciting, and engaging as with the 737NGX. With service based failures on I am finding myself caring quite a bit about my aircraft's well being (ZK-TGH), and growing quite attached to it....
