  1. Not sure they were the worst storms for years as we have had a fair few of them recently but it was pretty bad. I flew from EGKA Shoreham to EGHI Southampton, using ASN yesterday and the journey was erm, challenging. A lot of turbulence and wind sheer and I was actually frightened (ish) coming in to land, however I was saved by the loud crash coming from the back garden which meant I had to abandon right at the last moment. No missed landing and a go around here it was abandon all and tie down anything that moved. However as ASN is the first live weather program I have used since REX (which I never got the hang of) I can't comment on how good or prototypical it was, but it definitely felt good, which for me is the important thing.
  2. The reason for the discrepancy between the Proxyuser.ini and the dos window drive letters was because I had changed the drive when I reinstalled both FSX and TP. Sadly I had to give up on trying to make it work as it stumped me completley, I might give it another try at some time.
  3. Herein lies my criticism of the Iceland demo. It's supposed to be a demo of the various pieces of the ORBX global puzzle working together yet they have clearly added individually placed items, do they intend to add POI to the whole world? Or is the demo a misrepresentation of the final version? That said I am probably their target audience and will undoubtedly purchase the various bits and pieces.
  4. No disrespect it may be a nice landing but the thread should probably moved and really be called "check out my flaps".
  5. This works a treat on my Nexus 7 and love using it. The only problem is of course now I want a bigger one :(
  6. Don't think its your Chrome that's the problem site itself seems down.
  7. After three days and on the of chance that someone stumbles into this thread this is where I am at. TileProxy is downloading the JPG's but not converting them to BMP therefore FSX has no scenery items to reference which is why it is loading the default scenery. At least this is what I think. Now how do I get the conversion sorted?
  8. Ok I have tried a complete reinstall of FSX and TileProxy to no avail. My ini file above has changed slightly to reflect the changes in directory structure but nothing else. When TP starts I get the following messages. 9. After a long absence I am booting up FSX again but am currently having trouble getting TileProxy working with it. In an attempt to make it work I uninstalled and re-downloaded/installed TP and edruthan's ini file. Set it up to use service 1, changed the map version and the program seems to be working ok. However FSX is not using the downloaded (and it is definitely downloading into the designated folder) tiles and is just using the default scenery. It appears to me as though TileProxy itself is working but the interface with FSX isn't, any ideas on what I have/havn't done? # # Start a line with # to comment it out. # Turn your text editor's Word Wrapping OFF for editing this document. # # Read the manual for help with configuration. Thank you. # [TileProxy] # Enable or disable worldwide photographic scenery coverage (Yes/True/On to enable) master_enable=On # Write a logfile to disk.
