  1. Hi all, been having a few issues with my 700, the 800/600 fly like a dream and always give me a great flight with no issues. For some reason when i try flying the 700 series i always get the dreaded CTD shortly after departure usually when retracting the gear or turning out on course for my first waypoint. Not sure why but it seems to happen every time but only with the 700. I am running Orbx airports/ Rex and ASE but they do not seem to interfere with the other 737 series. One other issue i have when using EZCA its all setup and great for the 800/900 but has no camera views for the 600/700 series not really an issue but would be nice to get the preset views. Thanks for any help or suggestions and thanks to PMDG for such an awesome aircraft sure brings new life and reality to FS. All the best Vaughn
  2. You should have a separate activation code for the 600/700 check on your order page for the code and enter that, not your original base package code all should work fine then. Good luck enjoy.
  3. Thanks for the help, def gonna be a few days setting it all up again. Hope the new rig improves the sims performance overall.
  4. Hi thanks for the quick reply's and advice, appreciate it. Just wanted to confirm do i need to reboot pc after every Add on is Installed, ie Orbx & PMDG software? Cheers
  5. Hi, just got my new toy and am in the process of setting it up and am looking for some advice and help from the excellent pool of experience PMDG flight simmers. Specs: Haf X 942, Win 7 Home premium 642600KAsus P8Z68Gtx 580Corsair H808GB Rip Jaws 1600ozvertix 120gb ssd2Tb 64mb cache My operating system is loaded on the SSD and i was wondering if I should install FSX on the same drive or load it separately on the 2TB additional drive. Also i will try following Nick N's setup tips, but was wondering should i Install Fsx and then tweak with Botjies tweaking tool before adding all my add ons? Finally i will be overclocking is it best to have all Fsx addons and Tweaks done before overclocking or to overclock then add everything? Thanks for your help any advice and tips would be welcomed. Have a great day everyone.
  6. Hi Guys don't know if this helps but i saw someone mention in the general forum that they re-installed fsx to a directory other than Program Files X86 Eg C:Fsx and removed the UIAutomation.dll seems to have solved the activation window not working for them. Also ensure you do everything as an Administrator. Good Luck hope you get flying soon.
  7. Awesome Vid, thanks for sharing, Thats one hell of a flyby.
  8. Flight Test with stall of the older 737-400 using auto slats
  9. Thanks for the advice guys, appreciate it, looking forward to burning some holes in the sky with the NGX, pitty about the carbon tax coming here in Australia its going to cost a forture
  10. Which Pc is Best fit for NGX / FSX. Addons used with Fsx will be :- Rex v2, Orbx, Pmdg, Traffic X, FS2Crew.Core i7 2600KAsus P8P67 B38GB G.Skill RipjawsGTX 580 1536MBCorsair Hydro H70Seagate Momentus XT Hybrid HDD/SSD$2300Core i5 2500K Asus P8P67 B38GB G.Skill RipjawsGTX 570 1280MBCorsair Hydro H70Seagate Momentus XT Hybrid HDD/SSD$2000G'day from Australia Captains, just after a bit of advice for a new NGX rig, it will be primarly used for Fsx. The comparison is between the I7 and I5 rigs above that are nearly identical, Is there any reason to pay the extra for the I7 with GTX 580 vs the I5 with GTX 570, both will be water cooled and are overclocked to 4.8ghz. Will the I7 costing $300 moregive any better FPS or performance in Fsx. Money is not really an issue just after the best performance possible, with a bit of future proofing possibly for MS Fligh laterdown the road. Thanks in advance for any help, Happy flying.

    TrackIR5

Hi, my experience is the Trackclip pro makes a big difference, much more accurate. It simply attaches to your headset and in my opinion makes the environment a lot more dynamic. Only drawback though minor is you have a wire connecting it to your usb port that sometimes gets in the way. Definitely helps to set up a profile too. As Ben pointed out in an earlier post, there is a great profile called sethflight on the naturalpoint Trackir website. Flying the J41 with it is simply awesome. Final point also mentioned before I think is to make sure you centre the camera/software by clicking the centre button or pressing F12. Good luck enjoy.
