The answer from the staff was not right ...they told me to use "fail operational" option....baut the problem remains.aniway I tried to open ticket to support forum... thank you. Still I can not understand if it's just me having this tipe of problem...many users write solution even reading the manual...just see any videos on youtube to understand!

From the FCOMV2 page 4.20.22 ...with fail passive option the FD's bars retracted form view at 50 ft.... this is the correct beahviour. But when I select this option and i try an ILS approach with two fd on, two nav on ILS freq the FD remain on PFD after the 50 feet AGL... the bars retracted form view ONLY in full autoland or with an IAN approach... This is a great bug...possible no simmer notice that anomaly? The older PMDG NG for fs2004 had the correct beahaviour of the FD!!

In IAN approach the FD disappear but not in an ILS Approach. This is a real bug, incredible that many users had not notice this issue.

I have the same problem - No wind on the ND below certain altitude...on approach or in initial climb in the ND only "---/--".... I use AS 2012...

I tried with the option "fail pass" and i't the same! 2 nav on ILS freq, both FD on, AP disengage.. the light APP in the MCP disappears, the FD left remain MASTER the right FD not in master, and at 50 AGL the bars doesn't disappear and remains on ground till I swich them off

Performing an ILS approach with two FD on ( master side captain) and both NAV on ILS frequency, at 50 FT RA the bars of FD doesn't disappear and remain on PFD on ground. In autoland instead they disappear at 50 Ft without problem. I had version SP 1C only 800/900 , FSX + UTEX+ FEX and FSUIPC registeresd ( but the axis are form FSX and NOT by FSUIPC)

I have the same problem...the flight director doesn't disappear at 50 ft during a normal landing ( no autoland), it remains visible at ground after touchdown. No problem with autoland, the FD disappear at 50Ft Ra. Any solutions?
