Hey Guys, anyone install the Shock wave Lights onto this plane.. if so could you post the coodinates here please...

All done. It was a pain to work with the XML file but all done and now when I start up the SR22 heading is UP not north!!!

GOT IT!!!!!! FINALLY! I made a folder on the desktop, extracted the complete CAB file into that folder, modified the XML file, then put that folder into Gauges in FSX renamed it the SAME name as the CAB file and FSX used the folder instead of the CAB file! Now when ever I load the SR22 into FSX my HEADING is UP! NOT NORTH!

N4gix, Thanks for the HELP but I am totally LOST! LOL ,.. Can you PLEASE just give me step by step instructions to do this?? Do I need to EXTRACT EVERYTHING out of the FOLDER one by ONE? Or copy the folder on the desktop rename it then change the value then put it back? There are alot of files in the CAB file! Tahnks for trying to help me but Im not understanding what youa re telling me to do! I never worked with a CAB file before! Thanks!

Kludger, Sounds like it makes sense.. Cause I do not see their strobe lights in the Config!!!! What happens if you were to ADD the shockwave Strobes how do you find the Orig coordinates to try to place the shock wave strobes OVER the orig strobes?

Ok, YE Yes, I JUST realized that is NOT a folder but in fact a CAB file, thats why It only gives me the option to EXTRACT or COPY! Duhhhh.. LOL... So I extracted the G1000_config.xml to the desktop, I opened it with notepad, made my mod to the XML file and NOW the MILLION $$ question is HOW do I get it back into the CAB file..???????

YES.. and it seems like the only folder I am having this problem is Guages in FSX! I modified the XML file on the desktop and when I try to put it back in Guages in the SR22 G1000 folder it wont let me.. I can put the file ANYWHERE on my computer in any folder except that Guages folder and in SR22 G1000! When I right click any file in that folder it ONOY gives me the option to Extract or Copy! Strange!!!!! ANY HELP would BE great ! Im STUCK!!! Thanks!!!!

Thanks got that part.. BUT when I try to re copy the XML file into Gauges in the G1000 folder it wont let me copy it back in there.. The only option I have is Extract or copy within the G1000 folder! It let me edit it after I extracted it to the desktop I open it with Notepad changed the value saved it, then try to put it back in the G1000 folder to replace the orig and it wont let me.. Thanks for your reply!

Does Anyone know what the settings are to swap out the Strobe lights to Shock Wave Strobes? I used the other settings you guys posted here and they are GREAT!!! Thanks for any help with adding Shockwave Strobes to the SR22

Hey Guys.. In the owners manual for the SR22 it states that you can change the default start up values in the G1000_Config.XML file.. I found the file opened it and found the value I wanted to change.. ( Map Settings- L:G1000_MapOrientation, Want to go from North Up - 0 to Heading up -3 Can anyone one tell me how to change it to VALUE 3 to start up the MFD on Heading up instead of North up and ALWAYS having to change it on every flight? I enclosed a copy of the XML file in this post.! If anyone can modify it and post it back here that would be GREAT! Thanks in advance!!

Hey Guys.. I know how to change from Heading North to Heading Up.. But it wont set it as the default. In the owners manual it says at the bottom, ( Defaults for startup can be changed in the G1000_config.xml file.. I found that file but have NO idea how to modify it to KEEP the Heading up value ( 3 ) for Default.. Can anyone point me in the right direction??? I included the file in this post..

Hey Guys Does anyone know where the PDF files hide for the Carenado C340? ( Manuals for GPS, weather radar etc ) All my other Carenado PDF's are in Simobjects/carendo plane folder.. after installing the C340 there are NO pdf files in that folder! Thanks in advance!
