September 28, 201114 yr Hey Guys.. I wanted to purchase the 737 NGX .. Before I did, I wanted to know if there is an easy mode to get the plane up in the air..without going through all the checklists etc etc? Thanks in advance..

September 28, 201114 yr You can load a flight with the engines running, but you'll still need to set up the fms, set takeoff trim, etc...Edit: Staples still carries those easy buttons, but I heard they need the sdk to make it work with the ngx. September 28, 201114 yr harleymhs Forget the psharcastic answers above. The answer is yes. With the NGX when you load a flight with the NGX. It is ready to go and fly with engines started . You can then put the flaps down, apply throttle and hand fly. Keithy George
September 28, 201114 yr Sure you can fly it. Just remember however that the autopilot is slaved to the FMC, so expect difficulties if you try to use the autopilot as in the default aircraft. Henri Henri Arsenault

September 28, 201114 yr Actually, you can use the autopilot just like you would use the one in the default 172. But there is no GPS guidance. You can tell it what heading to fly, at what altitude, or if you want it to track a VOR course or an ILS approach... You can definitely just fly it out of the box. Cristi Neagu
September 28, 201114 yr You can set the flaps and then takeoff. The autopilots does work like a traditional autopilot. Just press V/S and HDG SEL and you can choose your desired vertical speed and heading. David Zhong New video every Thursday: Aircraft Lighting - Boeing 777
September 28, 201114 yr The question is: Why would you buy a payware aircraft with the fidelity of the PMDG 737NGX, and not want to fly it properly? You'll enjoy it far more if you learn its systems and procedures...
September 28, 201114 yr To answer your question, yes you can fly it out of the box, but the point is to fly it properly, thats the whole fun about it and it makes it challenging, but certainly not impossible. anyone can fly this plane properly with just some reading and trying out. but to answer your question, yes, and i think you should buy it and just fly it as you wish. in time you will be bitten by the ngx bug and slowly learn everything about it.
