  1. Apologies if I didn't respond to this. I thought I had! I had already ensured the USB hubs were constantly powered before even posting here along with several known remedies for this problem. In actual fact after much testing and collaboration with Logitech all "fixes" were exhausted and I had to accept that the 20+ year old yoke and throttles were dying of old age. I am awaiting my new set to be delivered over the next few days. Thanks anyway all for the help as always. Tony
  2. Rick My apologies I see now that there is a TCA yoke and throttle. Blimey what a price!!!! Tony
  3. Hi Rick Thanks for the reply. I actually have the Thrustmaster Airbus side stick and throttle quadrant but only use it for flying the Airbus for reality sake. Is this the one you refer to using yourself? Tony
  4. Hi all I have a very old set of Saitek (now Logitech) yoke, throttle and pedal system which has always worked well over the 20 years or so I have had it. I had a complete PC refurb this year to use MSFS and now my yoke system keeps switching off mid flight. It works for a short while then suddenly I have no yoke. I have read numerous threads about this and almost all speak of the need to have a powered USB hub feeding the yoke system. I have never needed one before for all those years. Just to test the problem out I tried unplugging the throttle quadrant from the yoke usb internal hub (my yoke system is a very original Saitek one with a circular multi pin throttle quadrant going into the rear of the yoke so no usb I can plug into the pc separately) and plugging the pedals direct into the PC. The result was the same - just having the yoke alone into the PC it still cuts out continuously. Of course the first thing I thought of was "time for a new yoke and throttle system" but having read about the powered hubs, even though this wasn't needed before, I am wondering if that is now the problem. I have naturally tried changing to all the different usb outlets on my PC and done the usual driver updates, etc, Even if I have to buy a new yoke and throttle system are they now saying this needs a powered usb hub to operate properly? Any advice gratefully received as always. Tony
  5. I have been using this great pushback tool for a while now with no problems. Suddenly I tried to use it with the CRJ out of Southampton and though I could set up the pushback ok when I pushed the request for pushback nothing happens. No voices, no request for action. Nothing! I spent all afternoon trying to figure this out and concluded it has to do with Orbx Southampton that I purchased yesterday. I tried the 737 there. Exactly the same I tried both aircraft in Manchester and the pushback tool works perfectly. The pushback distances in Southampton are quite short. Would that be the reason for the pushback tool not working properly other than using the manual option?
  6. Hmmm. Sounds like an AIG thing. It is still in Beta for MSFS? Perhaps something the developers needs to know. Though they probably know already.
  7. Thanks again Fiorentino Ok I will try the manual injection next flight over the weekend. Did a flight this afternoon and lost it again but I have been having a lot of problems (as have others) with MSFS loss of connection which is definitely their servers as I get around a steady 200mb/s download speed. It did occur to me that the two problems might be connected as MSFS does take you "offline" when these errors occur. I will try the manual inject and see if that cures it then report back here.
  8. Yes I always start with Admin rights. I will give it a try and report back here in a day or two! Many thanks for the help. This forum is the best one around for sure. With the ever growing gaming fraternity and its Discord this may finish up the only forum left!
  9. I just landed in Alicante on the more unusual VOR runway 28 and there was an Easyjet Airbus at the hold point having chosen the correct runway. So the problem is "hit and miss". As stated above this is not a new problem across the platforms. The only thing was that after landing AIG AI traffic disappeared and I had to reconnect it. I think this is problem between AIG TC and MSFS 2020. I read it somewhere. Hopefully there will be a fix as it isn't the first time that's happened.
  10. Though this is not a new problem across platforms I have noticed it worsen with MSFS Live Weather. Today Live Weather Metar gave 080/13knots at Bristol (Vatsim also showed the same Metar though I was offline). AIG traffic (which is brilliant I hasten to add) chose 27 when obviously it was a clear 09 departure. I have noted this behaviour a few times (not always) and wondered if there any settings that might help eradicate it.
  11. Yes it wasn't locked in to ALL the directories. Thank you very much! I now have aircraft (Easyjet at least) in Gatwick that seem to be moving and flying off somewhere. One question I have read different advice on this, do I set AI Offline and slider to 50% or 0%?
  12. AIG Traffic Manager says its connected but where is the button that says "inject"?
  13. I have been doing all those things except "inject traffic" manually. I will give it a go. Thanks guys for all the help!
  14. I have tried for days to get AIG traffic working in MSFS without success. I have my AIG Traffic Manage in the F Drive fully loaded and set up to connect to my main sim C Drive Community Folder where I have two folders (aig-aitraffic-oci-beta and aig-aitraffic-oci-beta-CVL, not sure what the CVL does). Basically the only time I can get any traffic showing at all is when I have the MSFS slider for Ground Traffic Density on at around 50%. No matter what I put in the AI Traffic slider no flights ever appear. Obviously I must be doing something wrong but I can't figure what. I have AIG working perfectly in P3D. I have tried the AIG Forum but nothing seems to come back. Any help gratefully received!
  15. Thank you Wise87! You are a gentleman! And there are very few of us! 😉 Tony
  16. I run my PMDG Ops Centre v2 and it just comes up with the Notifications page (with "you have no new notifications") but the Aircraft and Liveries as well as the Global Flight Operations are greyed out. I run always "As Administrator". This hasn't happened before. Grateful for any suggestions. Tony Causer
  17. I will answer this one myself! It appears that DCS (Deans Cross) is not recognised in the Saab 340 nav database even though it is definitely in all Navigraph data. I wonder why that is or what other waypoints/VORs are missing? Anyway if it happens to you choose the next waypoint on in your plan and try and insert that. Tony
  18. I took advantage of the latest sale and bought 3 Carenado aircraft. One of which is the Saab 340. I installed the latest AIRAC no problem. I realise the FMC is not the best in the market but I have a basic problem with it. I can enter the departure and arrival airports plus the SIDs and STARs but I can't for the life of me enter any waypoints in between those. So if for instance I fly from Edinburgh to Cardiff I get to TLA then go straight to RETSI (end of SID beginning of STAR). According to the manual you should be able to alter the plan to suit which I supposed meant you can add waypoints but I just don't see how. Tried everything I can see there. Any help gratefully received! Tony
  19. Thanks for the explanation. I am presuming it is why every time I put the scenery in the correct order, run the sim then open the organiser and they are all changed around again with many sceneries put below the FTX sceneries when I placed them above?
  20. Perhaps I am misunderstanding the meaning of this but every time I make a change such as add a new scenery a box comes up when I choose SAVE that asks "Do you want to clear the scenery index". I have assumed from that it means clear all the scenery? If so why would I want to do that every time I make a change?
  21. Kevin I agree that those who do not belong to a decent VA may well find this fills a big hole in their FS "toolbox". I have said on many occasions that this hobby of ours spans a large diversity of people. Some like to join with others and fly, some like to talk to real people online, others don't and like to fly in the privacy of their home joining with nobody. Each are respected in my book and certain of those sectors may well enjoy this product when it arrives. I will look on with interest. Tony
  22. Richard Thank you for your most courteous and informative reply. I am assuming that by ATC you refer to "in game" ATC (sorry for the poor description - best one I could think of) not Vatsim or IVAO online ATC? Again I don't use the "in game" ATC and so it wouldn't be for me but for sure may be for many others. As I said I wish it well. Tony
  23. Kyle Thank you for the history lesson of PMDG and yes I suppose it is obvious as the name implies manuals would have been part of your origins. However your core business these past years when the general community have heard most of you has been high end aircraft thus my conclusions stand. I wish you and the rest of the PMDG team well with your new product as and when it comes to the market. Won't be for me but perhaps for others. One little tip from an old stager and long term businessman. It doesn't always pay to show anger in replying to potential customers. Being nice to those who agree with you and disparaging to those who disagree doesn't always work (other than in politics). Surprisingly it turns many of them off your whole company. Can't for the life of me understand why but people are strange like that aren't they? Tony
