  1. Will the DC-6 ever be released for FSX and P3D?
  2. OOPS-was thinking the Global FO voice package updated the main package, up to date now, thanks.
  3. On a flight from PHNL to YSSY, my esteemed FO turned off my center fuel tanks in the middle of climb, with 42.1 K lbs remaining in the tanks.. Didn't notice and ran out of fuel in main tanks in flight, leaving a very stressful condition of trying to remember how to restart the engines & figuring out why they quit , luckily still at FL380. So, why did she do that?? Yes I reflew the flight, she did the same thing!!! I do have the latest Version and running FSX.
  4. How come no lady pilots? Lots of female pilots flying Dash 8's these days!
  5. I recently started having IPC Request Contains Bad Data errors when attempting to open Radar Contact. I normally generate my flt plans from PFPX, but also attempted to load Flt plans from FS Build, and even FSX , with no help, same error. Only change I made to FSX was run makerunways. Appreciate any help or advice.
  6. Note to Brian; and all others outthere hoping for a button ver...someday. My take on the button ver is from a different perspective. The Dash 8 is not an easy airplane to fly. With no autothrottle, airspeed has to be monitored constantly, along with all the other duties of flying the DASH. Then dealing with the other peculiarities, such as the 'alt sel. Be honest, it only takes a couple of seconds dealing with Nav or whatever, and the familiar stall horn goes off. Forget Alt Sel and you have blown your altitude. Embarrassing if your in a climb. Dangerous if in a descent and you start hearing TERRAIN, TERRAIN warnings start. So which brings us to the button ver. I like the Voice ver, and grateful for FS2Crew and Brian for bringing it to us. And with practice, I am getting better at it. But... it's like texting while driving. Getting the exact voice CMD to the exact time to time in the flight to start a procedure or accomplish an action takes attention away from flying the airplane. With the button ver,; not nearly so much. So Brian, when you say no time, understand that's where you are now. But can we check back, in say six months or a year, two years???
  7. Brian: Know your super busy with the 777. But..if you ever have a free moment, would you please, on your next upgrade, program exit 4 (left rear door) to open to support FSX ground services. The MS shift E 1,2,3,4 CMDs do not work for Majestic Dash 8 aircraft. Lots of us Dash 8 drivers would be very grateful, and making your product even more valuable!!!!!
  8. As a graduate from your Cadet Training Series, I must congratulate you for a awesome job. I understood that a 'Pilot Training Series' was in the works for around the July/August time frame. Just wondering hows that's going, and if you have any updates? I'm looking forward to continuing my 'Dash 8 driver training! thanks Tundrabum
  9. I don't understand this checklist. It's asking for #3 Hyd pressure before the engine is started. Before engine start, the pressure is zero. Seems like this check should be in the after start checklist. Can someone illuminate me??
  10. Training was great, just a few issues I have that didn't get covered in the training as follows: On the taxi, Josh and Ben were always able to get a clean check of the TO warn test, me, not so much, I usually get a beep even though I have completed the checklist and all looks good. Maybe they could explain what parameters does the TO warn test cover. Once in flight after the climb, a couple of numbers appear on the right hand middle of the mdf, usually in yellow. I have never been able to make sense of them, would appreciate an explanation next time out. Looking forward t the next training! Tundrabum
  11. I just started having the same issue at EHAM. First I used a flightplan built by PFPX EHAMKSEA01.rte, then tried same route a flightplan built by FSbuld, same results. PMDG NGX always has worked fine with FSBuild. Any incite appreciated!! Tundrabum
  12. Thanks for all who responded to this topic! The suggestion to go into FSUIPC and turn off the weather did it, like cutting loose the anchor! Who would have thought?? Also apologize for the dual post, not sure how that happened. Tundrabum
  13. I have started to have a problem I need some help with. Check the forums and could find no other mention of a similar problem. First of a disclaimer, I am running Win 8.1. So here goes. When I take off, with a moderate payload and fuel, after climbing to about 5 thousand, I can't get my speed to increase above 200- to 220 or so, even with the AT and AP off and the throttles maxed out. Both engine instruments indicate normal, But I can barely climb, if I increase to above 500 fpm, I start losing speed. It feels about like a DC6. When the program was first loaded, worked fine. It seemed to start after I also had the famous losing controls problem, which I resolved with a registered copy of FSUIP, and disabling the Win 8 pwr save feature to the USB ports. But that said, controls now seem to be working great. And yes, in flight I checked, no gear down, no spoilers up, nothing seem amiss, just no power. Appreciate all works of wisdom

  15. Due to a crash of FSX, I decided to reload it directly to the C: directory from program files/ms games directory. This has resulted in faster FSX load times for my 'not the newest' of computers and resolved 'read only' file update problems. However of course, RC has no idea where FSX is at. Is there a way to redirect RC to FSX's new directory, or do I have to remove and reinstall RC? Appreciate any advice you can give. Darrel Zuke
