A very old thread, but it just helped me set up my FaceTrackNoIR for FSX:SE with my Grass Monkey Odyssey IR Clip and a PS3 Eye Camera. I tried to use OpenTrack software but couldn't get it to work with FSX because of SimConnect issues with OpenTrack. And got no support from OpenTrack to help. So I gave up and tried FaceTrackNoIR since it has the FSX SimConnect plugins with their software. And the responded to my requests for help. Note you'll have to use to Game Protocol "FSX SimConnect SP2" if you're using FSX: Steam Edition. Thank you guys, especially vortex681 and TPerson!

I bought a Grass Monkey odyssey IR clip and PS3 Eye Camera. And have installed Opentrack software. I've gotten it to work with DCS and other sims, but when I try to run it for FSX I get an error message. I set the Opentrack Output to "Microsoft FSX SimConnect" per instructions I've gotten from Grass Monkey. The popup error message is: "Error occurred while loading protocol Microsoft FSX SimConnect. dll load failed: Cannot load library SimConnect.dll: Unknown error 0x000000c1." Is there a How To out there on how to get Opentrack to work with FSX? Thanks, Jeff

Looking at building a mid-range PC. I found this recently posted video on building a high, mid, and low cost PC for use with MSFS 2024. How's the mid-range PC list of components look for $1600. Jeff

Are you implying you'll get better performance from the i5-2550K than an i7-2700k? Or are you talking about a bang for the buck ratio?Anyone seen a direct speed comparison between the 2700K and the 3820 in FS-X?
