After adding the repaint CFG changes I am unable to save them. I am told to check with my Administrator. But my Account User title shows my name as the ADMINISTRATOR. what's going on? also what do I "save it as" ? I have Windows 7 JGSJW

Monday morning I have been able to stabilize my planes by using the calibration feature that is inside the FS itself. Until this morning that was useless too but now ok. CH Manager still has no effect on my sim however so something must have derailed it and I think I shoiuld reload it. is there a best way to reload the CH Manager?

After 3 years faithfull service my Eclipse Yoke has gone goofy and I cannot dial it in with CH Manager or the Windows calibration feature in FS. I have FS9 and Windows 7. Regardless of auto rudder or not all my planes S-TURN their way down the runway severely and if i survive the takeoff I have to engage the auto pilot. Do these things finally wear out? I fly the sim every night for most of the night. I am an old air taxi pilot in his seventies but not much of a techy

my PNW apts upgd RWY12 does not place the Seeve Kahn human forms onto the frames. It only position the frames but no human forms. it used to work perfectly. I tried removing it and reinstalling it but to no avail. JGSJW

Thanks Skywatcher, You put me onto the right track. I had not checked the volume slider at the bottom of the screen because My pc sound and Movies or you tube whatever worked perfectly but I went back and clicked on the mixer button repeatedly and suddenly a third channel showed up labeled FS 9 sound and its box was cjhecked off with a red X.. I have never seen that before and it took multiple clicks to bring it up. all is well...life is good..many thanks to you

The computer plays sound for other items but not for my sim. It just suddenly stopped. I have even removed the sim and reloaded it to no avail. I have used this for 4 years and never had this happen before.

The fuel valves are both on. I have tried the sliding throttle and mixture method. I have tried low pump and hi pump settings Paul Craig guided me to the update BTW my problem is the piston Duke. The turbine starts fine and flies great but is a handful on the ground. What I am doing currently is to load the Duke which shows up running Then when I make a stop somewhere I kill the engines. Then when it is time get going again I just hit Reset Flight and both mills come to life and away I go. thanks for your interest JGSJW

I have a Paul Craig Duke B60 flies good but engines wont start. I have to jump, start it by starting a 172 and then switching planes into my Duke. There must be a better way. JGSJW

PROBLEM SOLVED/. the new Eclipse Yoke had upgraded software that didn't play well with the older Control Manager. Uninstalled the old Control Manager and Installed the new 4.55 and then recalibrated to it. resulting in happy planes. Life is good......thanks for all the help. JGSJW

I already have the unregistered version of FSUIPC and am trying to take a look at where to calibrate my Eclipse Yoke but am lost. I realize that the registered version is better but was hoping that there was some form of it in the unregistered that I could at least look at without spending money that is hard to come by. It baffles me that all my planes fly as if I have inadvertantly left my sim speed at X2 The only way I can get them to act normal is to select HALF SPEED. Has anyone ever encountered this ? JGSJW

Windows recognizes it but has very little effect on the sensitivity. how does one calibrate with FSUIPC? I would like to try that. I changed all the Windows drivers about 6 months ago but I don't know if it did the Control Manager. I wish there was a way to wake up the Control Manager but then I don't recall if it did much about sensitivity. I need to get the sim to fly a transport like a slow heavy plane instead of a T 38 in an air show . It used to be just fine. as an experiment I just now flew a Baron with the sim set to HALF SPEED and it flew exactly as it used to at NORMAL. What can cause that?.m Yes, I will try the FSUIPC route.

I wore out my 3 yr old Eclipse Yoke so bought a new Eclipse Yoke. My 3 yr old Control Manager does not recognize it and does not list it on the calibration screen like it did with my previous one. I run Windows 7 64 bit which is not listed in the CH Installation instructions so I may have chosen the wrong o/s setting but none of the choices solve the problem anyway. I also tried removing the original CH Control Manager and then re-installing it to no avail. I need to get it working because the Windows Sensitivity setting is unable to calm down whatever plane I fly. Even a four engine transport has the roll rate of a jet fighter. JGSJW

If I do a complete re-install will I lose my addon sceneries and planes? Also are you saying that this may be caused by AI traffic corruption?

now that I have found my Dem4km.bgl' and recovered most of my Addon Scenaries I am now having my sim crash repeatedly when inbound planes get within about 15 miles. of certain airports. For instance my Twin Falls Idaho airport Addon has always had a serious frame rate problem. but now none my planes can approach it without my sim crashing. Other Addon Airports like my Boise airport have no problem. What could be causing this? JWPLS

I have found the FS9\Scenery\BASE\Dem4Km.bgl’ mislocated in another area and I have relocated it to the correct position. However when I start the sim it gives me the same message claiming that the Dem4Km.bgl' is either missing or damaged. Since the number three disk will not allow me to open it and obtain another copy I am trying to obtain one from Flightsim.com but they show that it is not available. Where else can I get a copy?

But I don,t know what to do with it. My disk three wont let me into the cabinet 8.....nothing I try will open it. It just sits there clicking back and forth. I don't have a BASE Folder after FS9 but I have the Scenery.cfg and I can get down to the .002 Base . If I ever get my hands on the Dem4km.bgl file do I simply paste it into the Scenery.cfg and then duck under my desk? I have all of these great people sending me valuable pieces but I can't put it together so far. My screen doesn't show me a folder layout that matches yours.

I have tried looking in scenery.cfg and Scenery.dat and SceneryStatus.DAT using the ctrl f search tool without success

“The Dem4Km.bgl’ file is missing or Damaged. Please Re-install Flight Simulator to restore or repair the file. Flight Simulator will now quit.” When I try to do this I am unable to carry this out. Can someone send me the Dem4Km.bgl' and tell me how to install it correctly? I have the full set but I am stumped. JGSJW

all of my attempts to restart my addon sceneries led me to notice that all of my addon folders were empty. then I remembered that when I found my entire ADDON FOLDER sitting in my 1033 folder I saved it and named it SPARE ADDON FOLDER and discovered that it has 3 gigs of information which I am now re-listing in the scenery Library but it is tedious.I think that part of my problem is my routing which is C Drive / X86 / Games/FS9/SPARE ADDON FOLDER/ ADDON Scenery/........... but every time I restart fs9 as I re-list each scenery I have to click through 70 scenery warnings windows. Hopefiully they will reduce in numbers as I re-list. Also my weather theme system has disappeared. JGSJW

While trying to add an airport I somehow d0uble clicked my entire Addon Scenery folder into the 1033 folder alongside the dwntl.dll. I then deleted it out of there. The original Addon Scenery folder was still in place but nothing works. I am back to the default scenery. I am completely bamboozled and nothing I try brings any of it back.. I do have most of it backed up but have not tampered with that yet. JGSJW

Ronzie.....many thanks for the great input. I have printed it out and am working my way through your suggestions. I also did disconnect my yoke and have tried flying by the keypad but I use a laptop with limited number pad and am unable to fly it by the numbers... so hopefully your suggestions will reveal something. If I hit a dead end I probably pick up a new Eclipse from Amazon. I fly it every night for several hours so may have wore it out. My brake button recently gave up and I don't have peds (just the Eclipse yoke paddels) so I can't complain.....but it would be nice to save the money. thanks again... JGSJW

I have solved the multi-engine control without a quadrant problem but the planes are all very unstable as if they are fighters. they are impossible to control by hand flying. It has never acted this way before. I have all of the sensitivities turned down to zero but only the auto pilot can handle it at all. otherwise the planes are all over the sky. I have done the joystick calibrations in both places to no avail. Maybe my trusty Eclipse is all wore out.
