October 7, 201411 yr I wore out my 3 yr old Eclipse Yoke so bought a new Eclipse Yoke. My 3 yr old Control Manager does not recognize it and does not list it on the calibration screen like it did with my previous one. I run Windows 7 64 bit which is not listed in the CH Installation instructions so I may have chosen the wrong o/s setting but none of the choices solve the problem anyway. I also tried removing the original CH Control Manager and then re-installing it to no avail. I need to get it working because the Windows Sensitivity setting is unable to calm down whatever plane I fly. Even a four engine transport has the roll rate of a jet fighter. JGSJW
October 7, 201411 yr Just an idea, I'm using Ch Products Yoke & pedals & have never used their Control Manager. I have always found that Peter Dawson's FSuipc is far more useful & does so much more calibrations. I have 2x FS9 versions, FSX & P3D running & calibrated perfectly. I'm also running W7 64bit. FSuipc has been one of my best addons. Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...
October 7, 201411 yr FSuipc has been one of my best addons. Whilst I agree please be advised JGSJW this refers to the payware version of FSUIPC. Three other things you may like to try out:- 1) Pull out and then re-attach the USB connection of the Eclipse. Sometimes the USB connections can be finickety. 2) Download the latest version of Control Manager from CH's website. 3) Don't bother with either CH's Control Manager or FSUIPC ... just rely on Windoze inbuilt drivers and program using FS9's own controls. Best of luck sir.
October 7, 201411 yr Yes, I am refering to the payware version that allows you far more calibrating than Windows does. Different calibration profiles for single, twin or quad engined planes. The ability to assign button/key presses to FAR more functions than Windows gives.. eg the sim toggles the G key for grar up & gear down, with FSuipc, you can assign different buttons (such as the toggle I have on my yoke). This is the first time in 10 odd years that I've been simming where I have seen someone saying not to bother with FSuipc. Download the free version, there are different versions for the different sims & give it a try & read the manual to see the benefits. Then decide if it is worth while the cost. We have 2x sims that we have built, an Avro Shackleton & an Aeromacci MB 326 that in South Africa is known as an Impala. We were never able to calibrate correctly with generic settings. The Eclipse is a fine piece of kit, & I'm sure you will get a lot of value added benefit from this relativly cheap piece of software. Oh yes, on on the settings within FSuipc allows you to use your mouse wheel as a trim wheel!! :-) Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...
October 7, 201411 yr Author Windows recognizes it but has very little effect on the sensitivity. how does one calibrate with FSUIPC? I would like to try that.I changed all the Windows drivers about 6 months ago but I don't know if it did the Control Manager. I wish there was a way to wake up the Control Manager but then I don't recall if it did much about sensitivity. I need to get the sim to fly a transport like a slow heavy plane instead of a T 38 in an air show . It used to be just fine.as an experiment I just now flew a Baron with the sim set to HALF SPEED and it flew exactly as it used to at NORMAL. What can cause that?.m Yes, I will try the FSUIPC route.
October 7, 201411 yr This probably will not help you, but I have the CH Eclipse Yoke on Windows 7 64 bit, and I have the CH Control Manager installed. I do not use it for programming the yoke (use FSUIPC for that), but the yoke does appear in the CH control manager calibration utility. Have you tied using the CH manager Rescan function? October 7, 201411 yr This is the first time in 10 odd years that I've been simming where I have seen someone saying not to bother with FSuipc I hope you are not referring to me. If so, please don't put words in my mouth. I agreed with you ... I only wanted the OP to understand that the payware version of FSUIPC was required in order to properly control and configure the yoke.

No problem.. anyhow.... With a registered paid version of FSuipc, a lot of greyed out settings in the free version becomes available. You will be able to calibrate/recalibrate virually anything separately. all moving surfaces (rudders, aerilons etc, throttles & so forth) including 'slope' or rate of change. BUT read the manuals. Peter replies very quickly, within a few hours, & he has a sharp tongue if the info you want is in the manual. The free download is complete with all documentation. Have a look at They have a very good forum at http://forum.simflight.com/forum/30-fsuipc-support-pete-dowson-modules/ This probably will not help you, but I have the CH Eclipse Yoke on Windows 7 64 bit, and I have the CH Control Manager installed. Just a quickie... If you use FSUIPC for calibrating, why still have the CH Control Manager? Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...
October 7, 201411 yr Thanks Robin ... but in context- does not recognize it I need to get it working you may like to try out
October 7, 201411 yr Ok. I just think that an extra driver/control program for the Yoke is a bit iffy when there are better solutions. But try. Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...
October 7, 201411 yr Author I already have the unregistered version of FSUIPC and am trying to take a look at where to calibrate my Eclipse Yoke but am lost. I realize that the registered version is better but was hoping that there was some form of it in the unregistered that I could at least look at without spending money that is hard to come by. It baffles me that all my planes fly as if I have inadvertantly left my sim speed at X2 The only way I can get them to act normal is to select HALF SPEED. Has anyone ever encountered this ? JGSJW
October 7, 201411 yr Are you sure you have the current version of CH Control Manager (v4.55a) as this was updated to supportthe Eclipse Yoke. http://www.ch-hangar.com/forum/index.php/files/file/49-control-manager/ @Robin - there is nothing "iffy" about CH Control Manager. It provides a better calibration utility for CH devices than the Windows system. That is all I use it for. You do not have to use it for programming the buttons etc, as FSUIPC is better for that in my opinion. Graeme Butler
October 8, 201411 yr Author PROBLEM SOLVED/. the new Eclipse Yoke had upgraded software that didn't play well with the older Control Manager. Uninstalled the old Control Manager and Installed the new 4.55 and then recalibrated to it. resulting in happy planes. Life is good......thanks for all the help. JGSJW
October 8, 201411 yr Big Smile!!! No problem. For me, having the Control Manager program was a bit redundant when I have FSUIPC. As long as we all happy & sorted out !! Remember... update, update & make sure.. ;-) Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...
